Being a priest fan since the early 80s and seeing them several times , they continue to put out solid efforts. What i like about priest albums is that everyone is different sounding, that being said i was a little disappointed with this one. All the hype around firepower was that it was heavier and had more energy than redeemer, other than the first 3 songs: firepower, lightning strikes and evil never dies, the rest are average and lacking energy. In my opinion lightning and evil are the top 2. if your a priest fan you will find this average and about on par with redeemer which had about 3 or 4 quality songs also.

I have every JP album. Been a fan since the 80's. Seen them in concert thrice. I HAD to get this disc. I enjoy the sound. I like it. It is so close. Dangit I wish there was the edge. I also would encourage all Priest fans to give it a listen. I like it. It is so dang close.
