With age they seem to write better and play harder, goes to show how these metal veterans have forged their metal with this offering, simply epic and oozing metal.

Being their last release this album I would say it's not the best judas Priest has ever produced but still is a good album definitely recommended

Rob Halford is as metal as it gets. Judas Priest are the definition of heavy metal. At almost 70 years old we don't get the high octave singing we once did but that is expected and people I've seen doing reviews on other sites should quit complaining. What we do get is one of the greatest vocalists in the game. The band, minus KK, has had time now with his replacement R. Faulkner in the studio and live, on this album it shows how tight they have reached musically, it's truly a new level for the later albums. I'm not the fan many others are of Andy Sneaps production. It is much better production than Redeemer of Souls, but could have been better. I do think bringing Tom Allom in the fold on production was brilliant and a better album for it. Is this classic 5 star priest I'm giving it, I would say truly 4 and half strong. The cover art is excellent. To still have priest putting out this quality material at this time is incredible. I love this album, I love this band. Halford is amazing.

I had seen the album art for Firepower for a while, and I thought it was awesome. But, when my radio began playing a few of the new tracks was when I really began to get sucked in. This sounded like Judas Priest! Plus, old bands with new music? So, I purchased it ASAP after work, played it coming home and going in the next day, and already thoroughly enjoyed. If you like JP, buy this album!

Nostradamus was a letdown. Redeemer of Souls was a big step in the right direction again. And now we get Firepower, an amazing album in every respect. The songwriting, performances, and production are top notch. A very inspired and sonically excellent presentation. Priest Fans of any era should enjoy this.

Given Priest's long history, a lot of comparisons can be made. However, taken on its own merit, this is a very good album. I wasn't instantly blown away but this album has slowly grown on me. I really like Spectre, Traitors' Gate, and No Surrender! Definitely recommended!

I was intrigued enough by the first radio hit, "Lightning Strikes," to buy the entire CD. I agree with my 25-yr old son who's a big fan - it's the band's best release in a very long time. The title track and "Evil Never Dies" will stick in your brain after one listen.

Being a diehard Priest fan, I never dreamed they would release another album that is this good. Great song writing, production quality and pure heavy metal. The band is tight as ever and Hslford's voice soars through each song. A must have for metal fans!

This was better than I expected. I was not a fan of Nostrodamus or Redeemer of Souls, their last two studio albums. I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was. If you like classic Priest with a touch of modern production, this is it for you.

All songs just slap you in the face with shredding guitars, rhythmic drums and pulsing bass from beginning to the end. Halford's vocals are still top-notch. Not one bad song on this CD. Go see them on tour this year.

This is the best Judas Priest CD since Painkiller. A bunch of good songs that keeps the Priest legacy intact. If you don't already have this CD, it is highly recommended!

Firepower by Judas Priest is their best offering since Painkiller in 1990. I rank it as their number 4 album of all time and I hope they jump back in the studio with a quick follow up. Very good heavy metal!
