Wish it were hard-wired

I didn't want to be bothered with replacing the batteries when they get low, signaled by that annoying beep. I'm going to stick with hard-wired detectors. But if you're cool w/battery operated, go for it.

Wireless feature is definitely I liked. I am not that of a handy person. I got 10 of these and was able to install myself. The size was almost same as the old one and fitted without affecting the ceiling paint.

Safety and Security with First Alert.

Integration all over the place

I like that they are synchronized and that they also works as listeners for the remaining detectors that are basic first alert. It’s also an added bonus that it works very with with my Ring system and integrates nicely with SmartThings and Homekit
