Customers regard the Alta Activity Tracker (Large) favorably for its sleep tracking, ease of use, and comfortable size. Many appreciate the long battery life and stylish design, along with features like step tracking and notifications. However, some users wish for a heart rate monitor and improved water resistance. A few also noted challenges with the clasp mechanism.

I had the Charge and I liked it but the faceplate was so large it always hung off one or the other side of my wrist. I gave the Charge to my husband and i bought the Alta. It gives me a nudge hourly to get up and walk which i really like and then let's me know own when I reach my hourly goal. I love the fit and if your a business woman, it is sleeker and more stylish than the others. The band is easily interchangeable and I am waiting for the silver band to try with it.

This is a great fitness tracker. Pros: easy to use, and the software is great. It syncs well with my phone and it keeps track of my activity pretty accurately. Battery life is great - charging it just once a week. Most of all, the Alta is very unobtrusive, unlike the other bigger, thicker bands out there.

Man I wasn't in the doghouse but if I was this would have definitely got me out. With its slim and light face and options you really can't compare to this Fitbit. It is very easy to use and not cumbersome to wear. My wife loves the sleep and text features. Great wearable!

Fitbit Alta is a good fit

I purchased the Fitbit Blaze. Yes it had all the bells and whistles. However it was bulky and heavy. Just uncomfortable on the wrist and difficult to remove. I had it 2 1/2 days. It was not very user friendly. On the second day I tried to chang the watch display face and it would not change when it synched. I on line chatted with 2 different people from Fitbit about my problem and they could not resolve it. I ended up doing a total reset. I decided then I did not like the way the Blaze worked. I returned it and got the Alta. Love it. Easier to set up and synch. Much more accurate on steps walking. Only thing it could have added to make it 5 stars would be the heart rate. Fitbit stopped short of 1 function that prevents the Alta from being perfect. But it is close enough to perfect for me.

I bought this Fitbit Alta for my mother. She has been trying to up her activity level and track progress as well as changing her diet. Geek Squad set it up to her phone and it can wirelessly connect and update all your stats to the app. She says it's very light and comfortable so since then she's been using it constantly. It tracks her steps, distance, calories burned, alerts you to phone messaging and monitors you sleeping patterns. This was enough to impress me for the price but then I was blown away to find out that in the app it helps you set goals and has a bar code scanner and search to track and record the calories you're eating through the day. This was a great purchase and a 2 year replacement warranty covering theft or accidents was on $30. Great deal and a great gift.

I read review after review and watched all of the videos. I waited months before taking the plunge because I still had my Fitbit Flex that worked just fine. I finally got a reward certificate and the Alta was on sale. I did it and haven't regretted it. It's wonderful! The reminders to move are great and I like all the information that it shows on the screen. I wish it counted flights of stairs and monitored your heartrate, but I imagine it's too small to do EVERYTHING!

This is an excellent motivational tool to get exercise. Pros: Display Slimmest Fitbit design Interchangeable bands Call and text alerts Cons: Display is hard to read outside on bright days Sleep function is not as comprehensive as the Jawbone Up series All in all this is a good fitness wristband that is looking something track activity and sleep patterns. It is stylish and can be worn all day without discomfort. I would recommend the Fitbit Alta to family and friends.

I have had 3 different Fitbit and this one by far is the best one I have had it a week. The bands are interchangeable and you can change the clock face. It would recommend this one to anyone.

I have had my Alta a month and really like it. I needed watch functions, but did not like the big "smart watches". The Alta is just right. Tracks steps as well as sleep. This was a nice bonus. Band took a while to get attached originally, but it just takes a bit to learn the tricks to get it attached.

I got the large teal. I want to track my sleep & steps, I'm not too big into going to the gym so instead I'd rather set daily step goals and wanted to get more hours of sleep. I like the fitbit app and I like being notified of texts & calls since I don't always have my phone on me.

I had the Fitbit Flex before getting the Alta. I really like the Alta so far. It tracks steps and fitness well along with tracking my sleep patterns pretty accurately. I also like that it syncs with your phone and will ping you every hour to remind you to move around.

Love this fitbit! It does not have a heart rate monitor and does not track your stairs climbed, but it is a great activity tracker, and holds it charge for 4-5 days! It's thinner than the Charge, so if you want a fitbit that is slim and less-bulky, this is great!
