I was torn between the garmin vivofit 3 and fitbit alta. I went with alta due to size as i already have a watch. Im on day 3 with alta and liking it but noticed a few cons so will pick up vivofit today and try that out. The two cons i noticed with fitbit 1) accuracy. I woke up with 39 steps to my credit, and 2) there have been a few times where ive had to rap on the thing pretty hard to get it to respond (and the wrist flick thing could be more responsive).. Otherwise i love it. Sleep time is spot on. Set up and phone synch is a breeze. Barely notice it on. Activity tracker seems accurate as well. But it have to try the competition (which also does not need to be recharged with a special cable). Thanks to BB return policy and price matching why go anywhere else?

This is my second Fitbit tracker. I switched to Garmin Vivosmart after having a Fitbit One and now to the Fitbit Alta. I was excited to see the Alta when it was launched because I thought it had similar features as the Vivosmart (except waterproof). It is comfortable to wear and light. The functionality of it however is terrible. Sometimes when you tap the screen it won't come on or you have to tap it really hard. When you receive a notification on your phone you have about 1 second to see it on the Alta and you can flip your wrist to come back up, but that is only right after it has buzzed. There are no stored notifications. It does not show an accurate number of steps. It rounds up. I still like the Fitbit app better than the Garmin app, but I would not recommend buying an Alta if you are looking for something even slightly more than a light wrist activity tracker. The extra features on the Alta don't work well enough to be considered.

I am so please with my new Fitbit. It has really helped me with my moving, water intake and sleeping. I wished I had gotten one sooner. But I would have been upset cause I really like the Alta. Now my daughter got one after wearing the Blaze for 2 weeks.

I am pretty tech savvy and had a really difficult time setting up this fitbit due to having another fitbit on my account already. It kept finding the other one. I like the look and feel of this fitbit overall and it tracks well.

Had a Fitbit Charge and wanted to change to a smaller band, so, since my Charge was almost 2 1/2 yrs. old, and the Alta was on sale, decided to pick it up.... Like the idea of now being able to switch out the bands..

Just miss the flights of stairs counter. And hopefully they will one day get the tech to incorporate the HR into this size device! Overall, I LOVE ITt!!!

Product is nice, light, and easy to use like I wanted. Only issue I had is the charger clip broke pretty easily after squeezing too hard. Luckily have geek squad to replace.

Got this model for my mom as a gift and she absolutely loves it. This fit bit has so many more features than my Samsung gear, Would definitely recommend this to others.

This is my first Fitbit and I really like it. However I wish it had heart rate also. I like the app a lot.

I recommend this to those who want a smaller fitbit but don't mind looking at a smaller screen

Works exactly as it should and is one of the best looking trackers right now.

The Alta does everything I need plus it tells me when I have a call or text. My family loves that I now answer them.

It was great, linked with my phone so I can get text messages through it, it vibrates when you need to walk more

I bought this for my wife and she loves it. We haven't had any troubles with it.

Fitbit Alta is stylish and very comfortable. Only downside is not waterproof!

This watch does what I needed it to do, I like being able to track my steps.
