Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

I am much more motivated to workout now that I am working towards daily and weekly goals. I also like to see how my family and friends are doing in the various challenges.

Purchased for wife. Solid tracker and not as bulky as some of the others on the market. Only drawback appears to be occasional lack of response to finger swipes.

After losing 3 Flex models because the wrist bands are so horribly designed, I upgraded to the Alta. Worked great... then I got the ALTA HR, which I love even more.

I really liked the Alta for the size of the band. The smaller width was nice. But I wasn't completely thrilled with how it doesn't count floor because of its size.

This Fitbit really keeps the pep in your step! In bad weather, I go in the Mall and Walk, Walk, Walk. It's really helping me get into shape as I diet too :)

Received this as a gift. Worked fine but I didn’t like the high profile of he dit (sat too high/tall on my wrist). Exchanged it for a charge2.

third fitbit - a step up each time. Very sensitive counts steps while kniting, must take it off. Replaced band with a magnetic one much better. best fitbit to date.

Recently wanted to start tracking my activity and sleep. The steps taken was not very accurate. Was with my husband all day and his tracker died and went to play laser tag and somehow he still had over 3000 more steps that I did and he wasn't even wearing his. On the sleep part we was watching a movie and it logged me as sleeping when I wasn't and another night I was up sick all night with a stomach bug and it still said I was asleep. I upgraded to the Charge 2 and it works a lot better.

I really like the silent alarm and connection with my phone to view text messages. Steps sometimes inaccurate yet still a good guide for baseline activity per day!

My wife had the original Fitbit. She really like the time function and does not need her watch anymore. Likes the color also. Seems to work fine for the last month or so.

The fit bit alta works great! I have recently started to increase my calorie intake for workout reasons and this makes it easy to see how many calories I burn a day

The Alta looks nice. Smaller than previous versions. Is not as accurate as my previous fitbits. Doesn't always register steps.

Purchased one for wife and one for daughter and it has been a motivator to get up and exercise. 4 starts cuz it's a little annoying when it wont "wake up" when tapped.

Not very attractive and catches on clothing. The device sticks out too much on a slender wrist and is uncomfortable to wear

Like the slim profile for small bone frame. Also found magnetic loop bands that allow me to attached to my bra so I can be discreet about my activity tracking program.

I love the look of the Alta. It's much better than my previous Charge HR. My only issue is that the screen doesn't light up when I look at my wrist like my previous one.

The Alta is a great basic activity tracker. Love that it includes a watch. Narrow profile is more stylish than most. The band is interchangeable, but I like the purple.

I have now owned three Fitbit products. This one is the best yet, great price for a great product. My favorite features are the reminder to walk and the alarm option.

3 stars because: battery is not replaceable and only lasts a couple of years. Also you need Bluetooth turned on your phone for many functions to work, which drains your phone battery. The newer HR model probably has the same issues, but at least adds heart rate and sleep monitoring functions that I find useful. Of course it is more expensive than the Alta too. So if you just wasn't activity tracking get Alta, if you want heart and skeep, get HR.
