Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

Love idea of my ALTA Fitbit. Impossible to put on w/o assistance and watch style bands available are too long (I had to cut off). Mine needs to be tapped several times to come on and needs charging every 2 days. Needs tweaking.

    Doesn't work when pushing stroller

I don't like wearing anything on my wrist, but I also don't like losing my Fitbit zip every few months, so I tried this. It's not quite small enough for me to like it and it doesn't work if you are pushing a stroller. I bought this before going to Disney World to track my steps and realized that it wasn't tracking them at all while I pushed a stroller around. I had to take it off and put it in my pocket for it to register my steps. It also doesn't work well on any cardio machines where you hold on (eg. Holding on while walking on steep incline on treadmill, holding heart rate handles on elliptical). Works well besides that. I'm back to my zip now.

I do love my fitbit and I've had it about 3 years now but I've had to change it 3 or 4 times because it either freezes or won't turn on, runs slow or starts acting up

While I enjoy the reminders throughout the day to get up and move, I know that it is far from accurate. For example, after prompting me to take 250 steps, if I don't, sometimes it will reward me for doing so, whether I did or not.

    Doesn't Always Work

This product frequently stops tracking steps. There are some days when I'm sure I meet my 10000 step goal, but the Fitbit only shows steps in the hundreds. Also, it often doesn't synch with my iPhone.

The Charge2 was a better option

We bought this for my son, but decided to take it back for a Charge2. It works fine, but for just $30 more he got so much more functionality (HR, bigger monitor, more info).

Functionality was basic. Changeable band was the best feature. Interface was difficult to use without a touch screen. You tap the watch to select things. Very awkward to use.

Was disappointed it doesn't read bloodpressure I was assured by the best buy salesgirl and also special Tec that it would! I still love that it monitors PULSE BEATS PER MIN AND ENCOURGES WORK OUT TIME

may be it is I want too much from electronics these days? possibly, but with so many devices for 100 dollars I expect more.... it does what it says, but cannot get rid of the sensation i paid too much for it.

I returned this because: The display was hard to see in bright light. It was hard to get the display to appear - I had to move my wrist in order for it to appear. I want a display that is always on.

Other than the difficulty of putting it on my wrist, it's fine. However, I was told, I believe incorrectly, that they no longer make the Fitbits that snap on your bra strap, which I would have preferred,

I purchased this item for my mom as Christmas gift. She has not used it yet so I cant give an accurate review of the product at this time but from reading the reviews, I was confident in making my purchase.

When i move my arm and I am not actually making a step it counts it as a step so it isn't the most accurate. The device itself is a little large as well... when I am typing it gets in the way at times.

Have taken it back and exchanged twice. Still not working properly. Everything works except it won't show text messages and notifications like it's supposed too. If I can get one to function I would love it.

The type of strap being used is too simple and cheap. The pin to lock strap in place fall out now i cant wear it anymore and the straps are over priced

I returned it!!! after taking it to the Geek squad and they couldn't set it up. Should of know I have a fit bit flex and had to sent it back to be replaced. I would not purchas any of their other products.

I was already a fairly active person, taking Zumba two times a week and an active gardener. My Fitbit showed me that there are times when I have been sitting for an hour or more and need to get moving.

Wrist band is horrible. I had to return to get band that worked. Computer Geeks had trouble getting programmed. Third try was a charm. I do like it now, but was a pain the butt to get working

the fitbit is fine doing what it does but the design to fasten it to your wrist takes alot of time and training and cursing .....all three in that order...that is the only issue i have with fitbit
