Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

Switching back to the FitBit Zip

I ordered this to replace a Zip that got chewed up by the dog. Figured I would go up a step with more features, and something that was easily viewable being on the wrist rather than my pocket or bra. I wore it for three days at which point I discovered the battery does not last as long as expected (I was expecting five days before needing a charge, based on what I read.) It was VERY difficult to fasten, and the wristband irritated my skin. I ended up returning it for a refund.

Hard to tap correctly to get info to show. I prefer to use my Apple Watch. Gave the Fitbit away as it was just gathering dust on my desk.

The battery doesn't last more than a few days. The screen doesn't show with a "gentle" tap I have tap pretty hard and a few times before it shows and then it speeds pass what I'm looking for. It also doesn't count as good as the older models. I wore an hr and the Alta and the Alta was behind by at least a dozen or so steps.

Is very stylish and functional but the only problem was in connecting it via Bluetooth. I tried several times with no success so I decided to look at a forum and discovered many people having the same issues. Thankfully all I had to do was reinstall the software on my iPhone 6plus and reconnected the Bluetooth. Now it connects flawlessly. My only problem with it is I'm sure I didn't walk much but it stated I walked 4000 steps in one day! I don't see how that's accurate at all.

    Inaccurate on steps

I love most things about my Alta. Being able to see texts and calls is great. However, I was "upgrading" from my Fitbit One, and I miss the stairs counting. Most importantly, though, this Alta is very inaccurate. I can walk on my treadmill, with arms swinging freely, and count my steps. When I did this repeatedly (both on the treadmill and on regular walks), I was getting credited for about 55 - 65% of my steps. Very frustrating -- the Fitbit One was far more accurate.

It has many important functionalities but sometime it does not immediately displays despite tapping many times. Response time is sometime too long.

Great product, but be careful when in social situations that this doesn't fall off your wrist. I've lost two now. Not sure whether i'll buy another.

Overall, good product for the first year or so. After that it lost its ability to hold a charge for more than a day. HR was better.

Fitbut has great apps for Android and iOS, but the problem is the battery doesn't last very long. It last about 1 week at best.

Good tracker to have, but with the sloppy design of belt, it is very difficult to wear it one handed. Alta HR has easy to wear belt.

Good if you are wanting to count how many steps you take every day. It was a gift for one of my siblings so I cannot really tell you how it works.

The screen is not a swipe screen like we are all used to with phones, this requires you to tap the screen which works ok, needs some improvement.

This is the 3rd and last Fitbit we will purchase. Please be careful with the flimsy clasp!!! Will NOT purchase another unless Fitbit makes a clasp for them. Yes, I'm aware I could purchase the one with a watch band; however that would defeat the purpose of Fitbit and we would just purchase a smart watch if we wanted something that big!!!!
