good product my wife use it a lot , at work , at home .

Would work better if would tell me to get up and run

The Alta would be even better with a heart monitor

I have everything good to say about this watch except for the fact that I CANNOT GET IT ON BY MYSELF!! It was designed very poorly and I always need someone to put it on for me. If I had known it was so difficult to put on I would not have bought it.

It doesn't vibrates on the 10,000 step goal unless all the notifications are ON. The vibrations (if vibrates) are minimum and you can't feel it on your wrist. I joined the alta blog and a lot of people are disappointed with this new version.

This is my 2nd model of Fitbit and I've used it for nearly a year. At this point, it serves mainly as my primary watch. I found the app to be draining my phone battery and not very helpful, other than if/when I was trying to keep track of my caloric intake. The cumulative steps never seem to update, so my 'friends' don't get to see my updated efforts. I've had to do hard resets a couple of times as well due to charging difficulties and freezing up. My husband has now had the same type of device replaced 2x in less than a year (for different reasons). Personally, I wish I had just purchased an Apple Watch instead.

The silly thing doesn't like to synch with the IPHONE. Worst of all simply getting to see the steps taken you need perhaps a hammer to smack the screen to get it's attention. Click.. Click... Click... Click... Read!!! Yippee

Unfortunately I did not read the reviews on this item because a lot of people had the same problem I did sometimes I had to press 20 times to get one reading so I traded it in for a charge 2 and am very happy with it

I purchased the Alta as a replacement for the Charge 2. It did not keep accurate steps doesn't work if you're holding the rail on a treadmill or if you are on an elliptical. I returned it for another charge 2.

Very attractive item and was loking forward to using it and wearing it. Couldn't close the band around my wrist - the posts wouldn't go into the holes. Even off my wrist it was almost impossible to get it closed. Set up, charged it (I guess), installed the app on my iphone but couldn't tell how to turn it on, or if it was fully charged. The online instructions were not helpful on how to use the thing. Online just wanted to tell me how to excercise and why exercise was good for me....well, why do you think I bought the thing? I took it back. It was defecticve. Got my money back.

The band is so hard to clasp that no one in our family can close it. This came standard with a peg style band. We had to order another band. Very frustrating!

My husband gave this to me as a birthday present. It was very nice looking but very hard to snap on my wrist with my arthritic fingers. It also did not have the HR feature . I exchanged it for a Charge 2.

I got the Fitbit ALTA and had a hard time getting the snap to go into hole on the wrist band. It did get easier over time. After a few months I last it due to the poor design of the wrist band snap.

We have heard a lot about the FitBit and my wife had trouble with putting the FitBit on. It was extremely hard to snap on and sometimes was painful so we returned it and got a Garmin.

This product worked well for first two days and synced to phone and app. Then on day 3 it stopped syncing with app and phone. Would but again

This was for someone in their 60s that isn't good with technology. The idea of tapping and double tapping the screen wasn't working out so well. We opted for a model with a button.

Seems like a good product, but once home, we found that it is incompatible with our Samsung Galaxy S7; one website we found said that it will work with earlier phones.

After 8 months with the Fitbit Alta, the wrist band comes loose easily splitting where the Fitbit and the band connect. It's quite a hassle to feel the wristband splitting from your arm. Additionally, the Fitbit won't sync anymore to the phone. Troubleshooting provided won't help. Forget about getting your money back under the 12-month warranty. This product isn't worth it and at best you can get a new one from this lacking Fitbit customer service team Quite a disappointment!!!

For the first couple of weeks that I owned this, it was great! It encouraged me to be active by meeting my daily goal and starting competitions with my boyfriend! And I loved that it showed me my texts and phone calls because I’m always missing them. Then at the third week mark, after my return window ended, it ran out of battery and just never turned on again! I have left it charging for a whole day but it just never turned back on. It was a waste of my money.

My wife had the older version of the fitbit and really liked it. We felt it was time for an upgrade so we purchased the newer version. When she was setting up she was having difficulty with it pairing with her iphone. She called fitbit customer support and although they were very helpful, in the end, they determined that the product itself was defective. This was frustrating because we had spent well over an hour trying to set it up.
