Wouldn't sync with my Samsung Edge 6 or my Windows 10 laptop. Returned and bought a Moto and love it.

Loved the size of the band and the comfort!! I hated the device! It estimates the number of steps!!

I had to return this product to the store for refund because the band was to difficult to close

I've had other Fitbits before that worked great, but this Fitbit Alta does not hold a charge.

My phone and car agree on distance of 5 miles and this always tracks same route as 3.6

TWO Geeks couldn't get one Alta or two different upgrades to work. We gave up.

the step counter adds steps when you are moving your arm even when not walking

Would Never recommend this item to anyone. Very dissatisfied with the item.

Didn't like the tab function to scroll thru applic

My wife started doing a lot of walking and I thought this would be a good/cool/fun motivator for her to use and keep track of activities. My daughter has had a great experience with hers and thought it would be worthwhile for my wife. Software that supports it is great - setup is quite easy and the device itself looks great. Interchangeable bands are a real plus also. Wife happy, daughter happy - big points!

I purchased the Fitbit Alta for my best friend for her birthday gift. She had looked at my Fitbit Tracker and wanted a Fitbit of her own. When I purchased the Fitbit Alta and helped her set it up, I was amazed at how the technology had changed from six months prior. I simply went to the website, clicked on the Fitbit product and then typed in the number of my Alta. The sync took very little time and was easy to do. We set up her Fitbit on the dashboard the way she desired. The Alta is thinner, more feminine, and easier to read than my six month old Tracker. The only problem is that it is difficult to snap. She tried for days to snap it closed and was frustrated with the amount of time and effort. It is now about one month later, and the band is a bit easier to snap closed, but yet still difficult.

Hi everyone, I purchased the Alta and used it for about a week before giving it to my wife and purchasing the Blaze. I previously had the Fitbit Flex and used that for over 2 years so it was time for a new one. The Alta is very stylish and has a nice display (something lacking from the Flex. It's also a bit more comfortable. I'd say the downsides are the price, difficulty with the clasp and hard to read the display in direct sunlight. I decided to purchase the blaze since it was only $70 more than the Alta and had a few more features. The Blaze suits my needs better but also enjoyed the Alta (my wife still loves it after a month of using it) when I had it and definitely would recommend it as an upgrade to the Flex.

I have had my Alta for one week and am completely happy with it. I wear almost 24 x 7. It is extremely comfortable. I love the display, particularly for providing my texts, and also for how it urges me to get moving if I have been sitting for awhile (Let's roll!). I have had not problem with skin irritation, with tapping the screen, or with getting the band to lock. I like the fitbit app which syncs to my phone. I have gotten along for many years without measuring my HR, so did not feel like I needed to invest the extra $$ for that. The Alta is great for me, and does get me moving! I would definitely recommend
