Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

Very stylish, but not the best

I switched over from my Garmin Vivosmart to give Fitbit a try given that it seemed similar to the Vivosmart. However, its not. The text, incoming calls and notifications lag a lot. When the text does pop up, it speeds by so fast you can barely read it. Also you have to tap the screen a couple of times just to get the display to pop up. The tracking seems to be okay and the look of it is really nice and I like the crisp look of the display but thats about it. I'm going to go back to Garmin given that its waterproof, great tracker, shows all notifications, calendar, email, calls, texts, move alert, and silent alarm. Fitbit tried to make it similar to the Garmin it seems, but it didn't really compare in my opinion.

This device does all that I need it to! It's small enough that it does not bother me when I sleep and I find it's very accurate. Worth the money.

First of all, I fell in love with this product just because I was looking to change my life and help live a better, healthier lifestyle. The FitBit Alta HR is such an amazing product it tracks mostly what you are doing such as walking, eating, sleeping, steps, distance which can be very beneficial towards reaching your goal weight. I think the Fit Bit Alta HR is very simple to use I would definitely recommend to people who are trying to lose weight.

    Inaccurate, despite other reviews!

The Alta tracks distance, but I am finding it is usually inaccurate. I typically run 5 miles, and so far, this fitbit has yet to report accurately my 4 miles of running plus 1/2 mile warm up and 1/2 mile cool down. It starts out accurately, but around the 3rd mile, the fitbit lags behind the treadmill by about .25 miles. By the time I am cooling down, the Alta is nearly .75 miles behind. Also, it does not sync well. I have a Samsung Edge, and it is a known issue that the Alta does not sync with the Edge. Too bad I figured this out after purchasing. Also, it does not sync properly with my computer or tablet, despite taking the Alta off and placing it directly beside the dongle thing. I admit I purchased the Alta (over other trackers) because of the collaboration with Public School. And despite it's intro during NY Fashionweek for fall/winter, FitBit has no idea when the line will be released. In fact, if you go on their site, they won't even confirm products will ever actually be for sale. SO....overall, it is lightweight and useful for casual use to make sure your'e getting up and moving about, but if you're looking to train and track distance accurately I'd try something else. Unless you're holding out for the Public School collab - but it's just about fall now and no signs of the line...

I love my Fitbit One; But it was hard to review it since you have to put inside of clothes for women; I purchased a new Blaze; For two days, lost over 7k steps for me; It was too often to charge it. So I had to return it. Now I am very happy for Alta. I have it for three days. It is easy to review clock;. It did not lost many steps (under 100 steps /day); It's very pretty design. One thing I do not like : steps display is smaller by no reason.

This is the first FitBit I have bought and I think it is so cute and stylish. Only complaint is that sometimes tapping it can be a little hard and it wont turn on right away. Also it's unfortunate the leather bands are so expensive for this product!!

    Best fitbit yet

Had a fitbit flex a few years back and the bands were cheaply made and kept breaking so I gave up on it. The band on this one is very sturdy. I've gone an entire week without charging it before without it dying. I love the features this fitbit provides too. It auto recognizes most activities I do so I don't have to manually input the info in the app. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a fitness tracker.

    Great band

I came from having the Jawbone Up2, which I liked but it broke in half. Since BB didn't carry Jawbone in the stores any longer, I had to venture to a new band. I am very happy with this band. It has a silent alarm and tracks sleep, my two must-haves. I wish the app tracked sleep a little differently but I am used to it now and am very happy with the features of the band.

    Sizing is off

Well I don't know why I ordered a large. Oh yea. It said to if my wrist was over 6.7". I have a 7.25" wrist and the large is huge. Can tighten all the way to two holes remaining. That's stupid. Returning. Will try the small. Ugh.

Love the style and design. Few issues I have with ALTA, there is lag in call notification, and I'm not able to get text notification. Also Fitbit App get struck (I'm using iPhone 6). Still I recommend this product hoping Fitbit would fix the technical issues.

I really like the Fitbit Alta. The band is a good fit, but if it gets caught on something, it does come off. It is not very sensitive to touch, so sometimes I have to tap harder than a parent on a misbehaving kid's behind. I really like the product and it does fit my needs.
