I bought this one along with the Fitbit Blaze, and have to say they are in different leagues. The Alta just doesn't offer all of the specs that the Blaze does. HOWEVER, if you're looking for an intro Fitbit, this could certainly be the one. The price is very appealing, and in my opinion Fitbits are far superior than the competition.

I love the product. It keeps track of my goals and help encourage me on staying fit.

I bought it as a gift for my mom and she loves it.

My mom and i both bought an Alta. They worked great for about a year. Then they stopped working altogether. I have tried all the reset and troubleshooting options Fitbit.com gave me to no avail. Now we have 2 that don't work after only a year. In the fitbit forum online, this is a common problem. Many people experienced this problem with various fitbit fitness bands, not just with the Alta. Not worth it. Also, i wore this every day for several months and then the band split. Fitbit let me down.

I have had the alta for 9 months and have had the black rubber strap completely break off at the points of attachment to the alta mechanism and had one of the charger's butterfly clips break. I had to tape the charger to the alta to get it charging. Received a charger replacement from Fitbit and the 2nd charger broke as well. The alta step-keeping mechanism works great, but the rest is junk. I very much regret having purchased it and wish I had bought an apple watch instead.

So I bought this with the hope of tracking my everyday fitness. The band is difficult to snap. 4 hours later I still couldn't get it on my wrist.The snaps will not line up with the holes correctly when trying to put it on your wrist. I ended up with a bruise after 4 hours.If you snap it without it being on your wrist even that is difficult. The app also would not sync correctly with the item. Will be taking back today for a refund.

Bought for Mother's Day - spent 1.5 hours trying to set it up. Won't sync with the phone or the computer. Tried everything. Spent another hour last night trying again. Has a full charge - rebooted with the little button several times. Bluetooth on and off, power cycled phone. Nothing. We are returning to Best Buy tonight. It does look good......

I have been a fitbit fan for a few years now but I grow more disappointed by the day. I'm on Alta #3 which I just purchased in November and the battery only lasts a day. Very disappointing and I'm not spending another $99 bucks to replace it. I'm done after this one Fitbit.
