Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

    Attractive Fitbit Alta Tracker

I have had positive experience with Fitbit since purchased late spring. One of the features I like is the reminder to move every hour to achieve the number of steps. The reason for 4 stars is its disappointing feature, monitoring sleep pattern. Sometimes it doesn't record the naps, depending on the sleep position. Overall, since I am semi-retired, the tracker encourages me to stay active throughout the day on a daily basis.

    Replacement for older fitbit

I bought this for my wife, as her older fitbit bracelet was becoming detached from the electronics module. The design for this one is MUCH better in that the bracelet can be removed, so can be easily replaced when necessary. One drawback that my wife is not happy with is that this one does not track the number of flights of stairs climbed. (That is why 4 rather than 5 stars) Other than that, my wife is happy with the replacement.

I love the tracker overall. The sleep tracker is very accurate. The bands are easy to change out. and easy to clasp (that was a problem with the old style). It does light up occasionally when I am restless, but otherwise I don't realize it's on while sleeping. The reminders that buzz while I'm working and can't move too much are a little annoying but understandable. The only complaint I have is that the monitor itself scratches fairly easily.

The Fitbit Alta has worked well for me. Lots of great data, from number of steps to sleep patterns. If you've been sitting for a while, the Fitbit will gently vibrate to remind you to move a bit. It is also motivating to "friend" others, and see their numbers compared to yours. Initially, the wrist band was tricky to push closed, but I got the hang of it. If I forget to link it up to my iPhone at the end of the day, I haven't seen the data.

The Fitbit Alta is my first fitness tracker. I'm not an athlete, and I wasn't looking for something to assist with any kind of heavy duty training. I just wanted something that would help me keep track of my daily activity and encourage me to get moving more. The Alta is really slim and comfortable. I can wear it all day and sleep with it and not notice that it's there. The interchangeable band concept is really cool, and I'm looking forward to when they release more designs. I also love that I can see my texts and calls, and also set alarms on the Fitbit. I don't always have my phone on my person (especially when I'm running around doing stuff in the house) and I feel like I worry less about missing an important call. The only feature that I wish they had added was an altimeter so I could also track flights of stairs in addition to steps. Long story short, if you don't care about having a heart rate monitor or other advanced features on your fitness tracker, I think the Alta is the way to go!

Bought it for my wife to help her keep track of her PT after knee replacement surgery. It seems to be tracking her steps accurately. The sleep monitor tells us what we already new. She doesn't get much sleep. The only complaint I have is the wrist band is almost impossible to put on by one person especially if they are a senior citizen. I had to buy a different band that can be fastened by one person.

I sit all day at my work computer 5 days a week. I like the reminders I was able to set to get me moving. The reminders buzz and display on my wrist. The messages are cleaver and entertaining It's an option to get reminders. I have lost some weight already just by increasing my walking and being more mindful of my health. I am eating healthier too.

I got this as a gift and my favorite thing is that this fitbit really motivates me to move more. I've been trying to reach my goal everyday and I've also been logging down my caloric intake. The alarm option is also sweet because it vibrates on my wrist to wake me up, something I definitely needed for my classes. This is my first fitbit and now my parents wants one too so I am considering get them each a pair some time soon.

Attractive piece that does a good job of reminding you to get up and move. However, Make sure to spend the couple bucks to get rubber fasteners on ebay, otherwise you'll be worrying about it falling off because the strap does not stay together very well. Also, if you are looking for an accurate count of how many steps you are actually taking per day, consider a different model, maybe one that doesn't go on your wrist.
