Customers are saying

Customers recognize the Alta Activity Tracker (Small) for its ease of use, small size, and effective step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the sleek design, long battery life, and sleep tracking features, while also noting the accuracy of its data. However, some users found the band and clasp difficult to use, and the lack of a heart rate monitor was also a common point of feedback. Additionally, the display's readability in sunlight was mentioned as an area for improvement.

    does everything that I want

This fit bit does all that I want as I do no need a heart rate monitor. I mainly need a push to get up and move and set goals for myself. It monitors my sleep pattern at night and holds a charge for 3-4 days. The only negative is the band is hard for me to get on due to it's design. I thought a new version would have changed it's design to make it easier.

Only complaint is when your riding a bike or pushing a lawnmower (anything that keeps your hands from swinging) you wont track any steps.

I had a Jawbone before my Fitbit purchase. Although there were features I liked better about my Jawbone I find I prefer the reliability of the Fitbit and the comfort of the band. My only regret is that I didn't get a waterproof model as I do water aerobics. That said it's about the health aspects for me and my Alta prompts me to keep moving!

Before purchasing this product I did read reviews posted by others. The band is easier to clasp than I thought it might be. The face is hard to read in the bright sunlight but shading it with your other hand does help. The fact that I did not need to spend several hundred dollars to get call and text notifications makes up for these short comings.

This is my third Fitbit and my favorite, so far. I wear it daily and when I go to bed. My only complaint is that the outdoor bicycle tracking only gives me 243 calories for 90 minutes of exercise. This can't be accurate and it frustrates me. I also use Runkeeper which I like better for tracking. I have paired this with the scale and like the dashboard.

This Fitbit-Alta Activity Tracker was purchased for my daughter. She is in the food service industry and walks a lot at work. She likes the fact that the Fitbit-Alta lets her know how well she is doing in getting her walking exercise done to meet her walking goals. She also likes the information that the Fitbit-Alta gives her about her sleep patterns.

I am so happy that I finally purchased a fitbit! I've always enjoyed knowing how far I've walked over the course of a day and now I don't have to make sure my phone is on me at all times to do so. It's been great to not only challenge myself, but now I can challenge my friends too! Healthy competition is a win-win!

I love my fitbit. It is easy to snap on and comfortable to wear. It syncs to the fitbit app- tells me how many steps, how active I was throughout the day, and even has a silent alarm that I use every morning to wake up. The only downfall is the app. It often takes a long time to sync and crashes most days. Otherwise I would recommend the fitbit alta.

One of my family members wanted to get into better shape so I bought this item. The daily goals have created the encouragement to get more exercise. The battery life is very good. Only 4 stars because it is not worth the extra money for the new FitBit can the older generation.

Perfect for my girlfriend. She liked the concept of my Apple Watch, but wanted something less bulky without all the advanced functionality. Thus the Alta was perfect for her as it tracks activity and can alert her when she gets texts. Would definitely recommend this for those solely looking for an activity tracker with simplistic functionality.

The fitbit alta is great to get you moving and help keep track of everything from your steps, to your water intake (if you log it). The only thing that would make it better is if it was water proof. I do a lot of swimming during the summer months and it would be great to be able to log that correctly with the fitbit. Other than that it is great.

Other reviewers probably hit all the notes I could, so I'll just say that the band that came with it started to fall apart at the clasp (not on the Alta itself). I could either buy a replacement, or repair where it was falling apart. I used a little super glue to put it back together and we're good to go. Suffice to say, my wife loves it.
