Purchased for my wife. It is easy for her to use. She likes that it reminds her to move when I have been sitting at my desk longer than she realizes. She like the leather bands, but wishes there was a holder that looked more like a bracelet to wear for occasions that you need to dress up for.

I used the Charge HR prior to buying the Alta and I liked the functions on the HR but did not like the size and band. The Alta can be used with multiple bands and can be dressed up or down--it looks like a bracelet with a gold band bought separately. The Alta functions exactly as advertised.

I like this Alta compared to the previous Fitbit wristband. Easier to read, alerts of cell phone activity, reminds me to get up and move if I am too inactive! Only reason I would give it a 4 instead of 5 rating is the wristband is VERY difficult to clasp. They could have done better with that.

Great for helping keep you motivated to stay active! I wish the band was more secure though.

Love that it has a clock, too. Not sure that it records sleep properly, however. Very tough to get clasp to close (but I do prefer that type of closer vs buckles). Maybe after more use, it will get easier to get the pegs to go through their holes? Nice color choices, very comfortable once on.

The Alta is very cute! It looks more like a bangle than a tracker. Unfortunately, it does not have a heart rate monitor. Returned the Alta for the Charge HR which is a little more bulky but seems better suited to fully track workouts.

This Fitbit is great for tracking activities like walking, hiking and activity. The screen is clear and is able to compete functions such as receiving text messages and notification to move. It's small and sleek. Will not track heart rate and other more complicated fitness metrics.

I previously has the Fitbit Flex and wanted an upgrade. The band is well built and does not pop off easily. Much easier to charge and the charge lasts longer. Love that I can tie it to my phone and see text messages and phone calls. I also like the buzz reminder to get my steps in every hour.

I have been using it for a few months and it works great! Its small and the bands you can buy make it functional to use for dressy occasions or casually. The only thing is that the fitbit screen can scratch pretty easily if you drop it or scrape against a wall. but over all an awesome buy

Bought this for my wife who was looking for a better way of tracking her work outs. She raves about it constantly. Up to the second read outs with calories burned, activity level and sleep tracking were what attracted us to this product from the start and it has not let us down!

I purchased the fitbit for my fiancé. She really wanted one to connect via Bluetooth to her iPhone. She keeps track of steps, fitbit, phone call notifications, sleep, etc. She really enjoys competing online with her friends. It does not track her heart rate, which would be a must for me.

Wake up every morning and immediately put on my Fitbit! From then on I pay total attention to my steps and try to reach my goal of 10,000! Love when it tells me how close I am,and also the fact that I can read my texts and see who’s calling me on my cell

This is the second FitBit I have owed. The only reason I got a new one, the band on my FibBit Charge starting peeling and was coming apart from the FitBit screen. I had a plan on it, so all I had to due was pick out a new one and bought another plan. It was a great shopping experience.

This device does everything it is supposed to do. Works very well and has performed nicely

Love the look of this! I have a small wrist and it fits great. Only complaint is that it won't register any steps if you don't move your arms. Therefore if you are carrying something or pushing a shopping cart it won't register steps. I do love the sleep part though and the silent alarm.

I have owned several fitbits and this one is my favorite. You can tailor the various notifications and I like the display and the fact that it doesn't stay on all of the time, wasting battery time. I wasn't sure if I liked how the band clips but now that I am used to it, it works fine.

I've only had this device for a week, but I love how convenient it is. It's slim enough to be flattering, and I love the convenience of having a watch and a step tracker on the same device. Still getting used to the differences, since I upgraded from the Flex, but so far, so good!

I purchased my Fitbit Alta because it was small and had a sleep monitor. It has helped me with my sleeping patterns and is not cumbersome on my wrist, the band at first was difficult to close. Battery life has been great 4-5 days between chargings. Overall the best choice for me.

The only complaint is the inaccurate step tracker which keeps adding steps if your driving when your obviously not walking. But on the other hand it's a great heart monitor and tracking calories burn when working out. Love that you can see text messages on screen and great looking watch
