I love how it tells me my heart rate, sleep pattern and it tells time but most of all how many steps that I have walked since I take public transportation to work and going up down doing wash. Although, I need to be more consistent in putting in my daily meals and drink. But I love it. This was a birthday gift from my husband and now he might buy one for our son for Christmas.

    Replaced Fitbit HR

I was interested in replacing my Fitbit HR for a couple of reasons. First, I wanted something smaller and secondly, the band on the HR kept falling apart so I had to keep replacing it. I was interested in getting one that you could replace the band on. It performs to standards, but the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't count stairs climbed. I knew this from the beginning, however. The only thing Fitbit could do overall is to make their products waterproof.

I was led to buy this device for the heart rate feature. My heart rate had randomly spiked to over 200, so I thought I'd keep a closer eye on it. The heart rate feature works well. I work in health care and compare my Fitbit's heart rate reading to our machines and they've always been within 5-10 beats of each other. I have not compared the HR during exercise, but I do feel the rate it displays is accurate. Another feature I enjoy (and didn't think I would even use) is the sleep monitoring. I work nights so my sleep schedule is never consistent. Because I work nights I'm tired all the time, but it's nice to visualize when my body actually needs more sleep or when I've slept enough and need to get off the couch. Overall good product. Battery life 4-5days with HR monitoring constantly on. Slim design, no different feeling than a regular watch. Enjoy being able to see text messages from my phone. The only downside I've found is that it is not waterproof, so no tracking swims or wearing it in the shower.

I bought the Fitbit Alta hr for my wife for Christmas. She immediately loved it. She likes the color of the band a lot and she is excited to meet her goals with steps taken and things like that that the Fitbit provides. Nice and sturdy product with a very easy set up and the battery lasts forever. You only have to charge it once every five days about. The bands are very simple to change in and out if you are trying to change the colors. The only thing I would say is get the screen protector especially if you are going to be wearing it around weights or if you bump into things at your job. So far the scratches are only visible while the Fitbit is off. We ordered a screen protector. Being able to see your texts on the Fitbit is s nice feature as well.

I have had Fitbit ultra and Fitbit one. Wanted ability to track heart rate and monitor sleep. This does a fairly good job of both. Twice it has lost Bluetooth connection and the only way I have been able to get it back is to delete and reinstall. If you are not by the tracker charger this is not possible so you may be without it for awhile. I also admit I am not much of a technology whiz so the problem could be me.

Bought this for the wife. She said it was easy to set up and seems accurate on the heart rate. She likes how it keeps track of steps and shows her how long she's had deep sleep. Biggest downside, can't get wet. Otherwise, overall happy with the purchase - considering one for myself!

I purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mom, she's new to all this technology. She immediately loved the step, heart rate, and sleep tracking. The size and color work perfectly for her.

I have a few Fitbits but bought the Alta HR for my fiance as a gift. She wears it daily and really enjoys it as a steps tracker but also for its ability to measure resting HR and also for sleep tracking. I think Fitness is a leader in fitness/sleep tracking right now since they essentially creating the category. I use other products like an Android app paired with a Pebble watch for sleep tracking and I think that while it has its benefits, overall it's not as cohesive or well polished as Fitbit's solution. The Alta HR is comfortable to wear and the small size should fit most wrists (hers and mine both). The two issues she's had with it are: 1) it's very difficult sometimes to detect a wrist flip or tap so it can display information to you 2) she is still unable to get her iPhone (on the latest iOS) to send it notifications even after repeated pairings and resets.

This FitBit does more than the site or box explains. In automatically detects when you are working out, shows your Heart Rate and calories burned throughout the day and the app tracks sleep, weight, water intake and exercise goals. Only thing I didn't realize was that the light color would stain quickly.

This is a great tracker for the average person. Like the size. Didnt want too big. Does all that I want, tracks steps, calories burned, sleep, heart rate, THis is all I needed. The only thing is you are NOT supposed to get it wet. I think it says water resistant but not water proof. Where my first Fitbit I could wear in the shower. I constantly forget to take this one off but have not had any problems. I take it off as soon as I realize it or once out of shower and dry it off good. It definitely motivates you to set goals for yourself if you are a slacker like me sometimes.☺ It has reminders in it and sinks to your phone to see calls coming in and texts coming in. Great convenience.

This was the main reason I wanted the product. It's great to be able to raise my wrist and see my heart rate. It helps in times of stress when I may not realize what my heart is doing. I have noticed that it tracks steps when I sleep which I assume is from my movements as I dream or shift positions.

I have had MANY different types of FitBits over the past few years and this FitBit Alta HR is by FAR the best one!! It's slim design fits perfectly on my wrist, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Rose Gold color w/the pink strap and the heart rate monitor is an added bonus. I highly recommend this product.

The Fitbit Alta HR is an awesome device for tracking fitness. You can track things like heart rate, steps, calories burned, hours active, even sleep. The app is designed very well too. Very easy to use and there's communities you can join too. Overall one of the best fitness trackers I've owned.

I love that it reminds me to get up when I sit too long. I like being able to track my steps and wearing my Fitbit increases my desire to do take more steps. It makes exercising fun! It tells me how I am sleeping or not as the case may be. So when I feel tired in the morning, I can see why.

I was looking for something that could track my sleep patterns and movement but specifically didn’t want a smart watch. The Alta HR is perfect for me. It’s not too big on my wrist and it’s easy to find different types of bands to personalize it. The display is basic without a lot of bells and whistles, but I can easily navigate the different modes, which is exactly what I was looking for. The heart rate function is a plus too. I also really like the Fitbit app. It works great with my iPhone 7 and has a lot of information. If you don’t need a smart watch but want a simple, stylish fitness tracker, the Alta HR is a great option!

I wanted to start tracking my fitness more accurately. I talked to many people with fitness trackers and most had fitbits. I love my fitbit alta hr. It's the perfect size for my small wrist, and does a great job of tracking everything. The only downfall is that it is NOT waterproof.

I've had this for about a month. When I was choosing which activity tracker to purchase, I was between the Fitbit Alta and AltaHR. So glad I got the AltaHR. There is so much more information you can get on sleep, calories burned, exercise. Slim design is great. I initially got the rose gold pink version for $40 more. Didn't like the rose gold. Purchased the blue gray. Love the color. It is a slight lilac color. Good accuracy for HR during all activities. It has motivated me to move more with the step reminders each hour and goals. I have also used the Withings version of the activity tracker and the Fitbit Charge. This is superior.

I love this fit bit and use it daily to track my steps and running/hiking workouts. Downsides are its impossible to see the display if you are outside. Also im pretty sure that when im running its picking up my cadence not my heart rate. But I still love it. Its a great size for my skinny arm. Wish they would make this one with an altimeter in it.

I absolutely love my Alta Hr, I have a hard time trying to find a smart tracker to fit my tiny wrist and its perfect and very comfortable and tracks everything that I want. The battery life last forever, i'm going on 5 days now and i'm at half the battery life . I had the charge 2 for a week and it hurt my wrist and was uncomfortable to me, everyone is different the choose is yours. I'm in love with my Alta Hr.

I am a runner. VERY happy with this product. I do not use it to its full potential. It's small but does everything I need. Love that it has ability to set alarms on whatever time perimeter is needed. Wish it was water proof other than that it is a fabulous product.
