I have been a fitbit user for over 10 years but have always used the Fitbit Zip Tracker until my last one stopped working and I couldn't find it available in the stores. So I upgraded to the Alta HR and am disappointed in its accuracy. With the Zip, I wore it hooked to my pants and loved that convenience. With the Alta I have worn it on my inactive wrist as well as around my ankle with a special ankle bracelet I ordered from Amazon and find that while on my wrist, it tracts movement such as hair drying, make up application and dinner prep and cleanup as steps (that were not taken!) On my ankle it performs better but some leg movement while sitting records as steps as well as it doesn't record HR while sleeping. Speaking of the sleep tracking - while I love the feature - if I sit still to read or watch TV and know I didn't nap - it often records me as sleeping - my bp must fall into the sleeping range is all I can figure. For the price and the popularity of this device, I am really surprised at how compromised the accuracy is. I have removed the straps and placed it in my bra - but that doesn't always feel secure to me - I much prefer the zip and wish there was an alternative way to clip the ALTA on at the waistline.

I have had other Fitbits before but this one feels better on my wrist than the large ones and still has the same functionality.

I've had my Fitbit for a little less than a month now but so far I like it. The only major issue I had so far is that it did not track one of my nights of sleep. Other than that everything else works as it was designed to. Keep in mind that Fitbit won't count your steps in the grocery store or wherever else if you are not swinging your arm (that the Fitbit is on). Nevertheless, I do like how I can compete with my friends and I like that it reminds me to get up if I haven't reached my 250 steps per hour. Sometimes, it seems like I have to hit it multiple times for the screen to display but it almost always responds by the third time around. Additionally, I would like to warn that the lighter colors (coral) can get dirty rather quickly. Other than that I truly think it is worth the money. Especially since it gives you charts of your progress and keeps a log of your sleeping habits (which sometimes need a little adjustment but you can do that manually). I noticed that I have gotten off the couch more or will go for walks just so I can win a competition or because I haven't reached my goal. It has definitely done its job keeping me off the couch but only time will tell how long the product will last.

All the main features are there, heart rate monitor, step counter, distance counter, calorie counter. Plus you get notifications from calls, text, calendar reminders. The battery life it's very good. Only downside is it's no button to cycle through, you always have to tap.

Wife owns a Fitbit charge and bought this for my daughter as it better fits her wrist

Perfect size, shows clock, heart rate, steps and a few other stats. I like it better than the Charge 2 and the band won't wear out like it did more than once on my Charge 2. Alta HR looks better than Charge 2 as it's not so bulky and cheaper looking.

My wife wears it wherever she goes. There are other band styles she has so it can go with every outfit. It's nice that you can read your messages and see who's calling without getting the phone out of the purse. It's also nice to track your sleeping and daily heart rate.

An excellent product. Appears to be accurate recording steps. Stairs is not accurate.

The Fitbit Alta HR is just what I was looking for!! The activity tracking is spot on and the added Heart Rate monitor is awesome for knowing when you are reaching your peak during a workout. And it has such a sleek and cute look! Would recommend this product to anyone.

I bought this FitBit for my teenage daughter. She loves this model because it is narrower than some of the other models. She loves the band color too. It was easy to set up and has great features. You can link it to your i-phone and can see texts on the Fitbit.

This fitness watch is great motivation for those who are serious about staying fit and healthy. Near perfect counts on steps.

I initially bought my Fitbit to monitor my heart rate since I had been having issues with elevated bpm. Since then I have been enjoying all of the other functions. I had a Jawbone Up before for counting steps, but I really like the display screen on the Fitbit Alta HR.

I love my FitBit. It does everything I need it to and it is small since I am petite.

I like the new Alta HR. It is neat looking, trim, has easy readout and works great.

(This is the wife.) I haven't used all the features yet but really do like tracking my steps. Plus I have not worn a watch in years so like the simple fact that I have the date and time easily accessible. Small profile so doesn't even look awkward with dress clothes.

I had to replace an old Fitbit and this is a gem! Not only tracks your steps but your sleep, weight, pulse, heart rate, has challenges and support groups! All syncs to your phone too! And it vibrates when you get a text or call...nice little perk.

I have had 4 different bands and this one is excellent. It has all the features that I wanted and I love it. I especially love the long life of the battery in between charges. It is comfortable and sleek. I do wish it were waterproof but other than that it is awesome.

My wife loves it for it's size and display. She no longer wear her watches anymore.
