Great scale - love it for multiple users!

We're both Fitbit tracker users, so the Aria scale was a natural addition. It imports weight & body fat right % right into the app (which then is also available in MyFitnessPal or any other compatible app). Connecting to WiFi wasn't quite as easy as the instructions said, but I think that was my finicky laptop. Just use the web-based setup if the Fitbit software doesn't do right. Log into your Fitbit profile once the scale is registered and you can add users. Instructions on that are a little cloudy, but a bit of poking around gets it done. Then it recognizes you when you step on the scale - as long as you both don't weigh the same and have the same body fat % you'll be good to go!

Love the scale - hate the setup

What I love: this scale and what it does, and what it's used for. It looks great, it uploads your information SUPER fast to chart your progress. I like that you can have 7 guests weigh themselves as well, all while keeping everyone's weight and BMI private, for that specific user only. (quick FYI for those that don't know - you can only use this BAREFOOT# What doesn't bother me, but bothers some: The accuracy. Some users have complained that they weight report changes greatly when moved to another place from to another. This is NO different from any other scale I have used. No matter where I move a regular scale, the weight also changes slightly. The same goes for Aria. No different, and it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I just leave it in the same place, and if I do move it, I line it up with the tile in my bathroom so I know exactly where I had it. What I hate: The setup. IT took me over an hour and I could not do it from my laptop #Windows 8.1# either using the downloadable setup, or web setup. I also couldn't do it from my smart phone #Windows 8 OS#. After thinking I might return it, my husband pulled out his laptop #Windows 7), tried the download setup you do from the website, and it took two second to go through. The only difference that I can see was when he was trying to connect to the Aria "network", his pc prompted him into further settings to "setup" the Aria "network". Mine didn't. So I really don't know the EXACT reason his laptop set it up with no problem and mine didn't - but I was about to return it until he came to the rescue. I would have given this scale a 5 if it hadn't been for the complicated setup.

    Good tool

I was so very impressed with my Fitbit HR that I went out and purchased this scale. All I have to do is step on it every morning, wait for the check mark to appear and that data is included in my weekly progress email from Fitbit. It is a good tool to aid me in my fitness regiment. It only received 4 stars in this review because the body fat analysis is not consistent. 2 or 3 times a week a "BF?" appears on the screen instead of the check mark. This leaves multiple holes in the body fat graphs. I expected that this type of bug would have been squashed quickly considering the price for the product.

A really nice scale, looks good and seems to be fairly accurate in its readings. Have compared my weight against my weight on gym scale and it s within a few ounces. I love the fact that the scale transfers my weight to my fitbit account.

Bought this a couple of years ago, and I have lost 70 lbs since! Of course you don't lose weight by purchasing a scale, but a good wifi scale is a powerful weight loss tool. Literally zero complaints.

Great for tracking general progress, but...

Overall, I'm happy with the Aria scale, and think that it is a good tool to use in conjunction with the Fitbit to track progress over time. The charts on the Fitbit website are great, and it is extremely helpful to have the data sync automatically between the scale and Fitbit.com (entering my sleep and activities on a daily basis is enough work for me!). The scale was not too difficult to set up. The only problem is that I have reservations about the accuracy of the body fat readlings. I work out a lot, and have been on a serious fitness routine for years, so changing to the "lean" setting helped. That said, no bathroom scale is going to have extremely reliable results when it comes to body fat percentage due to limitations on the technology. If you are expecting an extremely accurate body fat measurement, a bathroom scale (even one on the more expensive side) is not the place to find it - a trained fitness professional needs to be involved. If you want a general analysis of progress on your weight loss goals as part of your Fitbit "fitness routine", the Aria is a useful addition.

    FitBit Aria

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

First let me say that I am an "anti-scale at home" person. I don't want to face having a scale in my home. I can generally tell where my weight is by the fit of my clothes and how I feel. That said, I had purchased the FitBit flex to use mostly as a pedometer at work. I love it - then looking at the app and reading reviews online, I saw many mentions of the Aria. So I decided to try it - It's been great. With the two systems working together - and me being honest about the data I put in - it's definitely motivation for me. I have recommended it to others. The down sides are the price and that you have to place the Aria on a solid flat surface. The directions even say not to put it on laminate - but that's the only choice in my home. (It's in the kitchen - as the bathroom is too small for it and the rest of the rooms are carpeted.) So far it seems to be pretty accurate.

I picked up this fit bit scale after buying the fit bit one. I was just being lazy to get on the scale and manually enter it (I know, not a big deal but) so far I love this scale. It seems to be very accurate and it is very simple. After you activate it, it does everything else for you. Just step on it and that's it.

Bought this to help me keep track of my steps and running. It is accurate not perfect but every time I check the treadmill and the surge they are very close. The battery doesnt last as long as I would hope but it does the trick.

I was looking for a scale that does body fat % and this was the best one in stock. After about 4 months use, I'm not sure how accurate the body fat reading is. I know it is dependent on a lot of things, but it tells a higher number than the thing they use at the gym. Over all, it makes things fun and it almost feels like a game show waiting for it to read the body fat. Works flawlessly with the fitbit app witch is worth using. Very happy with my choice.

It was a bit confusing to set up at the beginning. I had to either choose to download a quick setup for my computer or do it from the wifi on my phone. I did it on the computer. But once I signed up at FitBit and clicked on "Setup Aria" it actually did 4 steps by itself in about 2 min or less. I love this thing! Absolutely! I can step on without waiting for it to start up, AND AS SOON as I step off its automatically syncing to wifi. Finishes in about 15 seconds or less. Theres really no complaining. Honestly. Before you know it at the end of week/month you'll have a whole chart to see not only your weight progress but BMI and body fat %. Fitbit has a trial premier (which you CAN pay for if wanted to) and you can see how you measure up health wise to people of your age and gender in the FitBit Community with your results! Also can be paired with the FitBit tracker for all features such as activity and sleep recording. Which I think after seeing their Aria Product and the quality of it, I will be getting soon, too!

A bit expensive, but it works really well. Could I easily write down the measurements for less money? Yes. Am I as likely to do so? No. I felt the investment was worth it to complete the picture of my fitness goals, seeing the end result of weight and body fat % changes over time. Integrated perfectly with the Fitbit Ultra and the Fitbit website/app.

She has a Withings, I have this Aria. We both believe the Aria is far more accurate and far less finicky from day to day. Setups is rough if you use a hidden network, but it stays linked and syncs with the app flawlessly every time.
