    Great scale

It is a requirement to have a wireless device to be able to get the scale connected to your wifi. If you have a smart phone or wireless laptop, that should work. Tracks your weight on fitbit website. No need to wait for scale to calibrate. Just step onto the scale and it measures your weight. After telling you your weight it then connects to your wifi and uploads your info to the fitbit website. Issue I had was the device got confused during inital setup between my wife and I. To fix it had to log into the website and specifiy which weight went to which person. After this initial irritation everything else has been smooth sailing. Also, If there are two people close to the same weight the scale will be unable to tell who is who. It will guess and then allow you to accept or choose next user. Have not had to use this feature so am unsure how well it works. Just some good information to have.

Great motivator, well integrated with smartphone

A great product that helped me lose weight and maintain my current weight. It's integrated with the Fitbit mobile app and lets you track goals and progress. It's opens the door to Fitbit's ecosystem of tools to motivate you to stay fit. It's well designed, works seamlessly, and I haven't had to charge or really do anything to it other than stand to weigh myself. It's a high price to just weigh yourself, but it can be justifiable with using the app to it's fullest potentials and staying motivated. It's worth the price if you're willing to commit.

    Take all comments seriously...

Take to heart all the comments regarding initial setup. My husband (who is an IT guy) and I knew what to expect but after an hour we wanted to pack it in and take it back. Then I remembered a review suggesting set up on a Windows 7 computer. That was the key. However we had to also open the router security because it kept ERR at step 4. Opening router allowed it to successfully link. We won't have auto syncing now because of our security settings but we can live with that.

    Failed After Two Good Years

If you're in the Fitbit ecosytem, this is great while it works. For the amount of times I used the scale in the I weighed myself less than 100 times in the two years of ownership, so when it suddenly decided to fail, my specific failure = the scale prompts would stay on until the batteries died and after three days, I contacted customer service for resolution and the was no solution. NO offer to send in for repairs. I know that it is beyond the warranty period so I didn't expect an exchange, but there is NO SOLUTION. The agents suggested that I not place the scale on carpet. I don't have carpet....I initiallly informed the agent I did not have a warranty, but wanted to explore options and/or troubleshoot the device. After ruling out the carpet and misplaced batteries, I was informed that without a warranty, there was no solution. No option to repair (for which I would have been willing to pay). This originally scale replaced a non-smart scale and the whole Fitbit environment attracted me as a techie who loves device syncrhonization and apps and smooth user interface. For the price and features, there are other smart scales who would offer the backend customer support post warranty expiration. Seriously, the Aria is headed for dumpster when I build up the courage.

Really great scale took me about 10mins to setup don't know how people had issues connecting it to Wi-Fi got it first try but the only cons for this scale is you can only check your muscle mass and bmi on the fitbit website which isn't phone friendly currently you cant see them on the app only your body fat% and if you want someone else to use the scale they have to make an account to see there body fat% on the scale

This scale is amazing for connecting to your phone and anything else you have on your Wifi network, like your computer. This makes it a lot easier to track all of your measurements, and the body fat calculation appears to be quite accurate!

    Worked Flawlessly

I bought the Aria to make weight tracking easier. I've been using the fitbit for a couple of years and found it invaluable in helping me meet my exercise and calorie intake targets. The Aria helped me close the loop. It makes weight recording easier - no more having to remember what my weight and %BF from weigh in to logging time. Unlike some of the other users, I didn't have any trouble synching it up to my home wireless network using a laptop.

    Awesome Scale

This scale is awesome. Once you set the scale up with the FitBit website and app (which is free), the scale will upload all of your results every time you weigh yourself. It tracks weight, body fat %, and BMI. Best part, it remembers you. If I step on the scale it will automatically know to send my numbers to my account and if my husband steps on the scale it will send his results to his account. You just step and go. You can also make a weight goal and FitBit will track your progress and send you little achievement badges as your progress.

If youre purpose is to hide behind your weight and forget about it til the next weigh in, this scale is not for you! I love the Aria Scale because it connects to my fitbit tracking so each time I weigh in, it saves my stats. It helps me see how much I fluctuate throughout the weeks! Its been wonderful, sometimes I see progression and sometimes I laugh because I knew that sandwich was a little too much :)

Originally I was hooked on the Fitbit. As I began to exercise more I decided to get the Aria. Was a bit of a problem setting up but once I did, its incredible. Links to my fitbit account, reads weight and body fat percentage accurately. Really a nice compliment to the work I have been doing with the Fitbit.

    ERR message, repeated

I have enjoyed my fitbit so far, and decided to invest in Aria today. The set up was fairly easy, and I was excited to stop on it, until I got the ERR message. The device connects to my wifi with no issue, but I can't get passed the ERR. I spent a few hours trying all its website recommended (no phone number listed for support). It appears that this is a very common problem, which I should have researched more prior to my purchase. I just assumed the device setup would be seamless as my fitbit was, but that's not the case. Big disappointment.

Like the scale well enough. Didn't find set up to be as big an issue as others reported. Scale started giving a sensing error message. Emailed Fitbit support. They responded within a few hours saying the scale would need to be replaced, and asked for proof of purchase info, which I was able to get off Best Buy website. So am rating a 2 for lack of durability.

I recently purchase the FitBit Aria and so far its GREAT. The setup is a somewhat of a hassle ,but what I did was set it up with my IPhone and that took less than 5 minutes. The accuracy w/the body fat is as accurate as it can get. The fact that it syncs with the app is such amazing. I don't have to worry of adding it its automatically will update. I highly recommend this product and the FitBit Force to people that need some motivation to get in shape/healthy.

This scale is great! It syncs well with my Fitbit account and us accurate and provides quality data (that can be a little depressing if your body image is as you were in your skinny days). Some reviewers said it was hard to set up with their home network. While I did have an issue at the very being, as soon as I unplugged the ethernet cable from my computer, setup was a breeze! Highly recommended if you're ready to face the truth and get busy losing weight!
