This is a good scale. It holds up well, tracks my weight and body fat, and syncs the information to the Fitbit app and site.

I bought the Aria Wi-Fi scale by Fitbit as a companion to our Fitbit Charges to provide an additional data point as motivator for us in our fitness endeavors. The setup was much easier than other reviewers mentioned. It's connected to my wife and my accounts, and along with data from tracking our caloric intake, we can see trends in weight loss and gain and understand why it happened. What's not to love?

I got the scale for the weight and body composition tracking (even though I don't have a fitbit). I liked the idea of stepping on a scale and having the scale automatically upload the data to my fitbit account for long term trend analysis. However, the hardest part of the scale was setting it up. The instructions were a little vague and it took several tries. I'm still not sure how I did it.

*Packaging & Contents -The scale comes in a small box within the retail box. The scale comes ready to be put on the floor, just take a plastic tab from the battery compartment. Inside there is a flier that gives you the website to do the setup. *Setup -EASY!! I see many reviews complaining about the setup. Not my case. This are the steps I took. -Took scale out of the box and placed it in the floor without turning it on. -Downloaded the setup software from the fitbit website to my macbook and run it. -Logged into my previously created fitbit account. -I turned on the scale by quickly stepping on it and steeping off. -Then the software on the computer asks you if you want to use the wifi network you computer is using, and that's it. It will automatically find the scale and use your previously stored password to set it up. (if you have other wi-fi networks close to you, remember to put the scale as close to your router as possible. Your router has to be b/g compatible.) *Scale -I ordered the black glass scale and it looks good. When you step up, it weights you and recognizes the user to give you a fat %. Online you can look at your BMI and fat vs. lean mass. Guests users will only see their weight because there is no height to calculate a fat%. I think it is very accurate when it comes to fat% by "bio-electrical impedance analysis" versus my skin fold calculations. *Important note: It's important that you weight yourself at the same time everyday. I would recommend as soon as you wake up as a good daily reference. The Bio-electrical analysis depends on the electrical conductivity of your body (fat is not a good conductor). So remember that if you are dehydrated your conductivity is less (increasing your fat%), or if you have to much water in your system it will increase your conductivity (decreasing your fat%). This is not a medical equipment, don't expect an exact result.

After purchase of the FitBit watch I decided to complement it with the scale which proved to be very helpful with my fitness goals. The scale is easy to set-up wireless to your home network and able to determine a close estimate to your percentage of body fat which helped during the cutting phase of my workouts. Very pleased with the recognition and connection to my App profile on Fitbit also.

    The Aria Fitbit simplifies Tracking

I lost 70 pounds in 2014 to improve my health and I tracked my weight by updating a spreadsheet and my Fitbit account to trend my weight loss. When I reached my desired weight I quit tracking because it was just too much trouble. With the Aria I can track my weight swings in my Fitbit account without the extra effort of manually entering the weight. Seeing the trend helps me see when I am slipping and helps motivate me to get back on track. Great addition to my life style change!

The Aria was easy to setup and was simple to setup the integration into myfitnesspal. The icing on the cake was that Best Buy price matched this to meet an online retailers listed price, and I had it that day. One item of mote, if you have Comcast you will have to access your router to enable the slower WiFi standard this device uses, it is not hard to do and the how to is easily found on Google.

fitbit's entire ecosystem of products and its accompanying online reporting platform really are the enchanted forest of fitness tracking which is as yet unparalleled by any of the other fitness systems out there. I will give them this. I have the Aria scale and am keeping my fingers crossed that it will someday talk to my iPhone's Health app and not just their own proprietary fitbit app. Third party apps which will shuttle data out of fitbit and into other systems have been written, but I have yet to go that far to support my desire for one, comprehensive system that supports my movement activities and thirst for thumping bass while doing it. Aria is seamlessly weighing us and calculating our body compositions. There appears to be no difficulty recognizing us when we weigh in and cataloguing our info in its flat little brain. Connecting to our W-Fi network was easy and continued connectivity has been flawless. Battery life appears to be stable, but we haven't had it long enough to review that properly to-date. It would be awesome if I could get the weight data that the Aria is feeding to my fitbit app out of that system and into my iPhone's built in Health app. and other fitness trackers. Thus the four stars instead of five because I am the one who has to do the legwork to get my data out. Would be great if fitbit would start working on that! :)

I own the Fitbit charge HR & bought the scale to further track my progress. The scale works great, is simple to set up & can store 8 users. It tracks my body fat percentage, BMI, weight & can give you an in depth look at your progress either losing weight or putting on muscle. Works like a charm with the Fitbit.

You know why I got these? Because Aria City Center is my favorite hotel in Las Vegas. Not that the brands are actually linked or related in any way. I am just saying how cool it is to have a PIMP weight scale linked to your phone with your Fitbit wrist watch and have everything track while you get reminded how you miss the ARIA hotel. I also have the ARIA home setup and bed set at home. So look up YouTube videos on this scale. Its AWESOME. Lets go to Vegas and party!

Very simple and easy wireless setup. Gives accurate and genuinely mortifying information (weight and body fat percentage) quickly and Syncs to my fitbit in seconds to haunt me throughout the day. *grin* Lost 15 pounds the first month! This scale should be a required fitbit accessory. Makes it super easy to determine which activity regimen results in more effective body fat loss. It is also an indispensable tool to avoid panicking at weight gain from muscle gains. Gaining muscle will show a decrease in body fat percentage on the scale even when I gain weight since muscle is twice as heavy as fat. It has kept me motivated and increased my awareness of my eating habits as well. Best of all the fitbit phone app tracks my activity and the scale data and displays the info graphically making it easy to see fitness gains and weight/body fat losses over time so I don't fall into the daily weight obsession that demotivates everyone. Love this scale and would recommend this to anyone serious about improving their health and fitness.

This scale was a must have item to sync directly with our fitbits in our household. We have the fitbit flex, 2 fitbit charge HR, and a fitbit surge (fitbit flex on the way). The usability and sync technology with this scale is so user friendly and the accuracy seems up to par. Would definitely purchase again!

Very easy to set up and link with my Fitbit dash board. Syncs with ease everytime I weigh myself. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the price. I had some rewards to use or else I would have bought a less expensive scale.

I'm not sure how accurate the Aria is considering my body fat percentage varies by almost 5 points sometimes in the same day. I'm 5'7', 118lb. But I still like the looks of it, the way it recognizes different users, although occasionally it gets disconnected from the wifi and I need to set it up all over again. Very rarely, though. Still, the best scale I ever had!

My wife and I purchased this scale in May 2015. We both used it daily since then, along with Fitbit trackers (her a Flex, then a One, me a Charge HR), as part of an effort to get back to our pre-marriage weight and fitness levels (18 years and three children later). I particularly like how they all integrate into the Fitbit app, tracking activity, weight, body fat %, and for me heart rate and sleep. In February of 2016, the scale started to malfunction when I was changing the WiFi access point for the scale. I contacted support and, even though the warranty has long since expired, they evaluated the scale data and chose to send us a new scale at no cost to us. As an IT director, I have before never run in to a tech company that stands behind their products like this. I will remain with Fitbit for my connected heath devices and look forward to see where they go next.
