    Great Device, so-so battery life

I love almost everything about this device. I did a lot of research on various fitness devices before upgrading from my Fitbit One and choosing the Blaze. I was looking for a combination fitness tracker / smart watch with an emphasis on the fitness tracker and found this to be the perfect fit, with a reasonable (IMO) price. I love the optional screens as well as the ability to choose a specific exercise to track. The band is comfortable during normal daily wear as well as activity. The one thing I do not like is the battery life... right now I am getting 3 days at max.

    Design and performance need work!

Bought the Blaze hoping it would live up to my normal Fitbit performance. The only plus I to the Blaze for me was finally being able to change bands and clock faces. That being said, clock faces are a huge disappointment. Difficult to read steps etc. For a female the Blaze is MUCH too large and manly looking. The size of the frame and band could have been greatly reduced to accommodate a smaller tracker that looked more feminine since a lot of it appears largely design rather than function. I think options are limited with this tracker as well. Since I was looking to get more performance and options than this delivered, I am returning it. Also I wore it for approximately 2 days before it went completely dead. I had this on the charger for well over 12 hours yesterday and it didn't appear to be charging, finally at 10 pm it looked full. Unplugged it and as of 8am this morning, with no usage, it is blinking red with low battery warnings. Not sure if I got a defective unit or if this is normal. In either case way more cons than pros on this model. I have been a Fitbit fan and have a One, a Flex, and a charge HR and have loved them all but the Blaze is a dud.

    Excellent upgrade!

I upgraded from a Fitbit Flex to the Blaze a few days ago. I am blown away! I should state that my first Blaze had a problem and didn't vibrate. I went back to my Best Buy where I purchased it and they swapped it out for me no problem. The replacement Blaze works perfectly. I love the auto track activities (you can customize the amount of time spent before it auto tracks. Default is 15 minutes). I've used 3 of the exercise modes so far: running, walking and biking. The amount of detailed information the Blaze records is crazy! You can view it all right in the app on your smartphone. I don't mind that the Blaze doesn't have built in GPS because I always have my phone strapped in an armband for my music and in case I need it for an emergency. I don't have to worry about it falling off because unlike the flex this one has a watch band. I love having my notifications available right on my wrist and I no longer have to wear a watch and the flex. I'm in love with this!

    OK..but...

A lot of fun with the watch, initially. I enjoy the interface, and the step tracker seems to be a lot better than the one on my Charge HR. Had to fool around with my Note 5 to get the notifications to work. If you get multiple texts, you will not be able to read them per se. You may only see one text at a time, as it comes in. Bad news though, and I am rating this a 3, is because I've had this product for no more than 6 hours, and already the home button popped off the device (button on the left side of the screen). I now have to go back to the store and return it, or get an exchange. Not sure how you are supposed to be active with this watch if the buttons pop off of it. No idea how it happened, either, I just went for a run; this is quite frustrating. Otherwise, I would have given it a solid 4 or 5 so far for the use. Furthermore, I'd like to compliment the 4 optional watch clock faces you can change via the app.

Out of all of the smart watches I’ve had thus far this is by far my favorite! The watch is incredibly thin, durable and stylish. I have yet to have an issue with any of its features. I would highly recommend this watch to anyone interested in tracking their fitness goals!

    Great fit tracker

The Blaze does a good job tracking everything. I've actually counted my steps while it did and although it counted a few more steps than I did, it was fairly accurate. That being said, one problem I found was that incidental steps were added by just merely moving your hand and I did rack up extra steps just by playing with my daughter while sitting around. The GPS sync function is just okay. It is finicky but when it works it is accurate to the foot. The sleep function is surprisingly pretty spot on when it comes to sleeping and waking up however I don't understand how it knows restlessness. The sync function with your phone works well for the most part. Sometimes there is a delay between your phone ringing or texting and the watch alerting you. Overall a great product with a few issues that can be worked around.

I've owned a number of trackers but was ready for an upgrade. I weighed the pros and cons of this vs an Apple Watch and the Blaze does all I need. Since I always have my phone nearby, the Apple Watch features didn't win me over for the price. I like that I can read my texts and see who's calling. I like that it doubles as my watch. I sleep in it although I have friends who think it's too clunky for sleeping. The charge lasts long enough once I got used to it running down every few days. My main complaint is charging it. I agree with other reviews that having to remove it and put in a little charging box is not ideal. I travel a lot and I've already forgotten to pack it. It's not something I can or want to run out and buy extras of. Overall, it's a stylish enough and solid tracker.

    Solid performing fitness tracker

I recently purchased the FitBit Blaze myself and I am happy to say I'm in love with this watch. I didn't expect much of it in terms of technical prowess but i did expect it to be a FitBit first and a limited smart watch second. With that said it does what FitBit already does really well with fitness and sleep tracking. The build quality is a solid 8/10; I just wish it was water-proof and not resistant. Being able to glance at my wrist while running or working out to see a full SMS and not just a preview is essential to not having to interrupt my work out to read a non-emergency SMS. The music controls are great since I don't have to touch my phone mid-workout either. Silent alarm works for me but for some it might be too weak of a vibration. FitStar is poorly implemented, I should be able to pick different routines and sync them to the watch, and also have them tracked with a higher accuracy since FitBit owns that product too. The different 'Exercises" section is genius, customized monitoring to the activity you are doing gives me the impression that the accuracy is as close as you can get. I tested the Golf feature and all I could ask for is something to track swings as well. Over all its not a Garmin Fenix 3 and not a Charge HR. I would recommend the FitBit Blaze to anyone who wants a little more than the Charge HR but not a full fledged smart watch 2x or more the cost and 1/4 or less the battery life. 8/10 would buy again.

I bought this fitness watch for my husband after he destroyed the Fitbit charge HR in 3 months. I bought the warranty with this one just in case but so far it has held up well. He accidentally wore it when he jumped in the pool and after a couple minutes he realized but the watch was fine, no water got in and nothing was damaged. We love the heart rate monitor and sleep tracking. Helps us to keep fitness in mind and doing the weekly challenges with friends is a fun way to motivate you to get in extra exercise and steps!

I was hesitant and considered this product for quite a while. Now that I see that this is a HUGE improvement over the Fitbit Flex I had, I feel the price is justified. I use it with my iPhone 6+ and I get all my alerts that I choose. The heart monitor and step counter work very well and I like that you simply go to sleep and the device picks it up for you. No slapping my wrist like I had to with the Fitbit Flex. If you are in the market for a smartwatch with fitness capabilities, give this one a look.

I love my watch. I like having the flexibility to change my bands. It keeps me focused on my hourly step count. I love the Fit Star feature on this watch. I have the Surge as well and sometimes it would work with the watch however with the Blaze I don't have to worry about it. The battery life is good as well. One of my favorite new gadgets. Highly recommended. The only concern is after charging your watch listen for the click when placing it back on the band. If not it will fall out. Over all a must have!

I had a FitBit Charge HR before deciding to move up to the Blaze. As a fitness tracker it does the same as all the rest. But it has some major flaws. Postives: - Fairly large corporations screen. - Replaceable bands. - Larger more masculine design. Negatives: - Still suffers from the typical FitBit inaccurate heart rate readings. - Really, really dumb design concerning charging the device. It's needs to be disassembled to charge it. Just looking at it for a while, it seems they could of come up with something better. - The charging cradle is made of a cheap thin plastic with an integrated cable. The charging cradle lists at $20,ot should be more like $5 or less. It's cheap, delicate and of a poor design. After less than two weeks of use, mine stopped working. After contacting FitBit, they agreed to send a replacement overnight. Seven days after receiving tracking information, it was delivered. It sat in their shipping department for a week. - Nonexistent silent alarms. The silent alarm is so weak, it not noticeable when awake, let alone able to wake you up. My Charge HR would wake me easily. The Blaze of more of a buzz you can barely hear. Forget about feeling it. - Text notifications that do t work. The Blaze has different messaging options you can choose to match what you used on your device. Except it doesn't seem they've been tested. For example, Message+ is one that you can choose on the Blaze options, but it cannot receive texts from it. Just a white bar that says you have a message. But no wording from the text. Actually you receive it twice. For every text. - Lack of customization. The order of the menus are not very well thought out. Simply being able to choose the order of what it displayed would be awesome. But it cannot. - Upper and lower edges of the tracker are exposed and prone to damage. The gorilla glass face is rugged, but not the plastic that is exposed. It chips very easily with light use. Overall, this is a terribly designed fitness tracker that I wouldn't recommend and will be returning for a refund.

Very happy. But disappointed for charging need unplug it from the case and keep the strap separately which is annoying to me. This is not the case in Fitbit Charge 2 HR. This should been done better

I recently had the Fitbit HR and liked it, but wanted something that looked more like a watch. When I saw the new Blaze I decided to upgrade and I love it. It is very easy to use and comes with some great features. The features I love include notifications, the GPS feature and Fitstar. Fitstar is a section where it provides exercises for you to do right on the watch. It shows you hwo to do it and has a timer. IT makes exercise very easy. I would recommend the Blaze for sure!

I actually returned my Apple Watch once I saw fitbit made a update for the blaze that you get all your notifications and still have the amazing fitness tracking Fitbit can do. I now get all my notifications my phone gets and music control is amazing. Highly recommend this product and tell everyone to do research when purchasing a fitness activity tracker or smartwatch this is the best of both worlds.

    Outstanding tracker

I've had the Fitbit Blaze for a couple of months and it is fantastic. The brilliance of Fitbit as a company is that they provide products with a limited feature set, but they absolutely nail them all. The watch is comfortable, the metrics are accurate and the website and customer support is top-notch. But reviews have been mixed because IMHO I think people expect more. Allow me to respond to the most common call-outs. Some people look at this as a smartwatch. It is not. It is an advanced fitness tracker. Some say it's clunky and big. Sure, the styling could be improved but as is now is fine, with a focus on being practical and rugged and will get better. People don't like how you have to take the unit out of the band when you like it. I say the charger (which locks shut) keeps it secure and safe, ensures a reliable connection and isn't terribly difficult to remove and put back. I've had just about every smartwatch out there and I always wind up selling them on eBay because they try to do too much, and right now are not ready for prime time. This is. Keep your expectations reasonable, and you will love it.

I have had my fitbit for about 2 weeks now, it is excellent and does everything advertised. I wish the screen was the whole watch face instead of just some of it but i'm sure that will come in later years. It is very lightweight compared to the surge, and more comfortable in my opinion. Nice stylish design makes it looks like a apple watch. Call and text notification are a great feature when at the gym.
