So, I picked up my Blaze yesterday in Dublin, and couldn't wait to get home to checking it out. I'm upgrading from my Flex which was pretty nice as well. I like all the features expect I wish the display was a little brighter. Gym here I come!!

    Nothing new

Ok my biggest disappointment is NO GPS. How is an active watch not waterproof? Heart rate monitor is not very accurate and does not interface with an accurate chest band. Durability of watch and band are very questionable. Nothing new enough to justify a new Fitbit as I have had bad experience with previous models. Going to return. It's just a square snap in unit to a cheap band.

It a fitness tracker, not a smartwatch

I own a fitbit charge and the functionalities on the blaze is all the same. The only difference now is that you can control you music and get text/call notifications , get a Fitstar app(which show you how to warm up, and provide a 7-10 minutes workout session), 24/7 heart rate, and battery life roughly around 5 days (I don't touch it much, as there is nothing els you can do on it beside fitness). Yes, the display has color now and prettier, but overall, it is still only a fitness tracker. I feel that there is alot of wasted space on the cube, since the screen only take up roughly about 70% space of the square. I would expect 90% at least. When you wear it, it like a big watch, but the display is tiny when it turned on comparing to the overall size of the device. Overall, I'm not entire trilled with the fact that it label itself as a smart watch, because it isn't. Smartwatch would be something like the iWatch where you can control many different apps from your watch, reply to notifications, etc. Perhaps, in the near future with new software releases that can truly make this a smartwatch. If you are looking for smartwatch, then this isn't it. If you're looking for a fitness tracker device with colorful display, and ability to control music (rewind/forward/volume control) then this is the device for you.

Stylish and a very useful product

Looks great and is comfortable. I always get comments on it and people don't realize this is the next generation of Fitbit. Great to track your steps and activity level for each day. Love the sleep tracker and the silent alarm. Although I must say I prefer the silent alarm better on the Fitbit HR because the vibration was stronger. Color screen is awesome. Overall I am very satisfied and love the product.

    Improvement over other Fitbits

I have recently been trying the fairly new Fitbit Blaze. It is fairly comfortable and has excellent battery life. The data tracking is up to par as previous Fitbits. I enjoy the notifications on the device, which is becoming fairly standard in the wearable category. The only con I have so far is the touchscreen can be a bit tough to use. You might have to swipe a couple of times for it to register.

    Blaze Fitbit

I am very pleased with the Blaze. Comfortable and seems to be pretty accurate. Comfortable and easy to set up. Only draw back I have really found is that it will count steps as I am driving. Not sure if it's the bumps in the roads or what. I just turn it off while driving to get a accurate step count for the day. Was very easy to sync up with the fitbit app and map my walk app.

    New FitBit Blaze

When my FitBit HR died, I went to Best Buy website to check out the new FitBit Blaze. After reading the reviews which were all very positive I ordered my Blaze for Store pick up (best program ever). Picked up my new Blaze an hour later and have been super pleased with my purchase. I told 7 frieds in my FitBit circle to go get the new Blaze at Best Buy ASAP.

It was an excellent gift choice for my wife birthday. Not only it tracks all activities but also is very stylish and plum color is awesome. My wife liked the color and style of the watch. Watch description is very detailed online and Store pickup was quicker and was like just go to store and pickup.

Great Fitness watch, poor smart watch

Overall great product for fitness and exercise it really helps you track everything. However I feel I should state that this is not a smart watch they market it to look like one but it has no smart functionality. You cannot run apps on it period. You have the ability to get text messages and control music which is nice; however these both have one major flaw which needs to be addressed. If you are in exercise tracking mode you cannot change your music or look at your text messages. in order to do so you have to stop the exercise program and re-access the main menu again. This feels like a massive oversight considering I would like to chance my music while working out. If you want a Fitbit this is the nicest one out there. If you want a smart watch do not buy this product.

My first fitness watch and my last Fitbit

Compatibility listing on the box is misleading when it says "Windows Devices". If you are planning on using this with "any" windows mobile device, do your research before buying! Go to the fitbit help forums and read the windows 10 app section. When trying to connect your blaze with the computer to your fitbit account for the first time with the included sync/charge cradle, it doesn't work. The sync/charge cradle will only charge. When you start the fitbit software to sync your fitbit blaze to your account it asks you for a bluetooth dongle which you don't get with your blaze. You can call in to fitbit and request one. During my initial research before buying, shortly after the Blaze was released, I went to my local Academy and the store associate told me that I should order it online because it's missing some parts. They had several returned because of missing parts. Come to find out by my own experience, the missing part was the bluetooth dongle that fitbit software was asking for because the sync cradle doesn't sync. After numerous phone calls and emails to fitbit support trying to get the blaze to work correctly, I finally gave up after a month of trying to work with fitbit support. Also a particular email response from fitbit Support didn't help their cause either. I did a simple copy and paste (no alterations to it) to the help forums and it was immediately edited out. I asked the moderator why they edited out what fitbit support had sent me. Their response was "We didn't want our consumers to get the wrong idea or be mislead". Uh, fitbit, "your support team" sent me the email in a direct response to my question. At this point I was done with fitbit for good. I went in to my local Best Buy and let one of the managers read the posts in the help forums and the email exchanges. The manager was actually laughing out of disbelief and apologized for Fitbit when it wasn't even a Best Buy issue. The manager offered to take the Blaze back and give me store credit even though I had the Blaze for a month. I used the store credit to preorder the Garmin Vivoactive HR. And when I went to pay for the difference between the Blaze and the VHR, the manager said that Best Buy will take care of the difference in price after what I've read and saw for myself what fitbit had done. I've had the VHR for a few days now and I can honestly say you get a lot more bang and versatility for your buck. For me, the VHR is more comfortable to wear and has more options, a lot more. Garmin support has beat fitbit hands down in every category which says a lot about a company and the relationship with their customers.

Basic, but does basic well, great battery life

Battery actually lasts 3-4 days, as advertised. Has basic features, but they all work well. The sleep monitor is my favorite. You don't need to do anything to activate, you just wear it and go to sleep. Could use a few more watch face designs.

I had a surge before and like the fact that I could see the time always. The blaze is difficult to see the time because screen is always off. When working out screen stays off and u have to awckwardly hit the watch as your running. It vibrates for notifications but still they don't show up unless u hit the screen for it to light up. Other than that I like everything else about it and for the price and how long the battery last I rather have this than iwatch.

The blaze is a great fitness product I really liked the features and functions the only thing I did not like was the bulk of the blaze and the chargeing the tracker is easy to lose if you don't push it back in to the frame tightly.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Fitbit Blaze. Not only do you get a good looking tracker but the ability to let me control music and see my notifications is well worth the money. I would recommend this product to anyone...and I do.

This is for those people that don't want too much in a smart watch but just enough to keep them updated on daily activities. It has feature for missed calls or text messages, which is very useful when you're not close to your phone.

I had high hopes for this fitness tracker. It is supposed to track everything automatically, which it does. It also automatically disconnects from my phone. I have had it for less than 3 weeks and have had to pair it to my phone now 4 times.

    Clock faces are terrible

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The Fitbit Blog has hundreds of unhappy customer's comments about the clock faces on the Blaze. The 4 clock faces included look cheesy and are hard to read. The Zone clock face is yellow with white letters and is impossible to read in sunlight. I can't believe that I got rid of my ugly Surge (which was easier to read) for this worse piece of junk. It looks like Ftbit was in a big hurry to produce a cheap imitation of the Apple Watch, and gave little consideration to how this device is used. Save your money!
