Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the Charge 2's accurate heart rate and sleep tracking capabilities, along with its long battery life and ease of use. Many appreciate the device's features and smaller size, finding it comfortable to wear. However, some users express concerns about the band's durability and the display's visibility. The lack of full waterproofing is also a recurring point of feedback.

Be careful when choosing the black fitbit. There is a gunmetal black and a regular black. The gunmetal is horrible, I happened to pick up the incorrect one so do not choose the gunmetal black

    Excellent product for athletes

I was given the Fitbit Charge 2 as a gift for Christmas. I have heard many good reviews on this product and was glad to get to have one for myself. The Fitbit Charge 2 is a comfortable, durable product with a ton of practicality for your everyday life of an athlete. As a runner, I had to do work outside of regular practices, and the coach would give us goals we needed to reach in that time. This helped me keep track of my running stats and complete the goals. This is a product that can really impact an athlete and help them track their progress with ease to keep the coaches happy. Comfortability This Fitbit is very comfortable to wear. It has a soft rubber band that allows it to feel softer on your wrist. The bottom of the face is flat to fit the top of your wrist without causing it to feel like a large bulge poking into you. This is a watch with an adjustable band just like most watches you see now, so you can change it to however you like. It allows for a looser fit when wearing it casually or tighter when active. When I am running I can barely tell it’s there. It is also comfortable enough to wear to bed to track your sleep. I have fallen asleep with it on and it has never bothered me. It gives gentle vibration reminders for alerts such as accomplishing a step goal, when you should get moving again, or when you are receiving a call or message. Practicality I find this device very practical and useful for my everyday life. It keeps track of so many things for you. Through the day, it will track your steps calculating the miles you’ve walked, stairs you’ve climbed as well as your heart rate through the day. It will graph out your sleep schedule and record the times you’ve been restless or awake then tell you how many hours you got to sleep. You can set times to go to bed and it will give you a vibration reminder when it is time for bed. It also can track where you have gone. So, if you go on a run sometime and find this cool spot you want to go back to you just go to the app on your phone and it will give you a map of where you’ve been. It also has settings that you can use to just track your workouts. You can track them even more specifically. You can specifically say whether you’re on a bike, treadmill, lifting weights, or just running. The Fitbit Charge 2 can be used in an athlete’s life to help them continue their fitness tracking and keep it all organized. Durability This Fitbit seems fairly durable. The rubber band allows long time usage with less ware. It has a small screen that makes it harder to break or damage. It can get wet but not fully submerged in water. So, when working out sweating wont damage the product. The Fitbit does require a charge. The battery takes around an hour to fully charge from dead. As I have found, it can last about a week to a week and a half before needing to be charged again. Overall I give this product a five-star review. As an athlete, I will definitely be recommending this to others. This purchase will prove to be worthwhile and will not disappoint. I encourage any athlete reading this to purchase this Fitbit, so you can get the many great benefits I have had.

    Inconsistent monitoring

I bought this specific model for the heart rate monitor and it’s so inconsistent and incorrect that it’s borderline worthless. The steps tracking is interesting but that doesn’t make up for the lack of an actual HR capability.

The Fitbit used to be the go-to fitness tracker but has been falling behind as other smartwatches gain fitness tracking abilities. This provides very basic notifications but your money would be better spent getting a smartwatch.

The second generation is okay but the 3rd generation is much bettter so return it and get latest and greatest one then. The funny thing is that Bestbuy sells the same price almost at the same time.

Huge waste of money as far as I’m concerned. Product looked and preformed well around the house and local area. However I drive a tanker truck for a living and after a couple of weeks I realized that thousands of steps and dozens of floors climbed were being falsely added during my workday. A search of the internet quickly told me that this was a common problem for people driving vehicles with stiff suspensions. The only workaround was to install a third party app called Drivebit that you had to manually start and stop at the beginning of each trip that would subtract the steps; no workaround for the floors climbed. I tried that a few days and found it ridiculous as I often forgot to push start or stop on a trip, and other times I did but the app did not sync to Fitbit to subtract. At this point I had the thing for about 3+ weeks and contacted Best Buy to return only to find they had a 14 day return policy on such. So as far as their customer service was concerned I just donated $175 (gunmetal edition) to that great pile of should have acted quicker lessons. Fitbit themselves could care less either, even though the product does not work as advertised. I am filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for pushing a product with known limits and no warnings for such.

Good to see my health being tracked, but the App takes time to sync and slows down my phone. Crashed twice. I finally uninstalled it. Has many other good features though.

I like the Fitbit but it doesn’t wear on my wrist as well as some. It’s a deep watch. Also seems to be pretty waterproof. Worn in the shower a few times

Never registered sleep cycles and I often had 50-100 steps before getting out of bed. Also, I'd clock 1k plus steps driving down the highway. I kept the charge2 for almost two weeks and found it useful if I was running or walking, but not for a continuous monitor. In my opinion, the technology isn't quite developed yet.

I knew what I was buying - I read the reviews. But, I am not credulous. So, I decided to go ahead and try it for myself. This is the perfect device for the uninitiated folks who just want to think they've walked 10,000 steps. Also good for those who have to step for work, but don't really want to. That theory is supported by the lack of water resistance... I understand that there is inherent flaws and that nothing is perfect. I accounted for several variables in my assessment. Therefore, it is my opinion: Until this device can determine if you are stationary, or traveling at 90mph... don't waste your money. I returned it in two weeks after giving it an honest shot. Seems like the Heart Rate Monitor and the clock are the two best features. Even tho, the HR monitor fails under vigorous activity. The clock counts time... Someone who drives a lot and is very active when not driving would benefit from a device with GPS... in my opinion - it doesn exist yet. So, maybe in a few more years they'll perfect the logic and offer a basic unit that actually works without contingency.
