    I had the original Fitbit which worked just fine but after seeing what the Alta could do I was interested in the extra features. I am particularly happy that the Alta includes the ability to vibrate and see the names of incoming calls and texts which allows me during meetings to decide whether or not I need to respond to the incoming call. It also doubles handily as a watch!
