Does everything you need in an activity tracker. Perfect size for someone not wanting a big screen. Stays charged for a long time.

    I love it already

I am a previous Vivosport and Gear Fit2 Pro owner... I must say that after only 2 days I'm already in love with this tracker. It just feels great to wear it. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to count floors well (I live on a 6th floor and it logs 16 when I walk upstairs) I hope that it gets fixed with an update.

Why does this Fitbit get the high ratings here at B.B., but other places say it's a 3.2 at best...out of 2,121 customer reviews 3.2 out of 5 stars 5 star 42% 4 star 9% 3 star 7% 2 star 10% 1 STAR 32% I bought one for my sons birthday tomorrow, but after reading about them and their chincy warranty, it's not even going to see air. It stays in the box and Charles gets money instead.

    Pedometer not accurate

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Minus three stars for the extremely inaccurate pedometer measurements. I assumed that since the watch (and, ultimately, pedometer) is worn on the wrist, the count would be overestimated but not by thousands of steps; even after adjusting the stride length. The heart rate monitoring and sleep tracking functions are great but because of the consistently inaccurate steps (2-4 THOUSAND steps above the true value) the calories burned calculations were also inaccurate. This, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of the fitness monitoring concept. I will be searching for a smart watch/device that soley measures HR, or at least one with the option to disable the pedometer function.

    My first fitbit, works great

I purchased this fitbit 3 weeks ago and love it, however the rubber band is getting irritating and I broke out in a rash. I'm in the process of ordering a different type of band to switch out. Other than that, I truly love it. The app is downloaded to my phone and keeps track of everything you do which gives me motivation.

    Love it!!

I love this thing. I don’t think the battery actually lasts anywhere up to 7 days. It’s been 24 hours and my battery is currently sitting at 69%. I also don’t have it automatically sync to my phone all. So I am not sure where or how they got there 7 day battery estimate, but if that is the selling factor for you, don’t buy. This battery does last longer than the inspire hr though.

This watches honestly lacking for the price point

I had the Samsung equivalent watch before I bought this. I wanted to save a little money, so I got the Fitbit when my Samsung broke. The Fitbit has problems with accuracy and syncing to my phone. To me this watch is only good for telling the time, but don't leave the time zone because it'll take your watch forever to go back. The Samsung is at about 80% more useful and completely interfaces with your phone with better apps. For a purpose built Fitness watch this thing sucks.

    Constantly Breaks

Purchased the charge 3 on 03/03/2020. Within a couple days the screen completely stopped working and Fitbit sent me a replacement device. Less than 4 months later the screen has stopped working once again. Fitbit has offered a 50% discount on a he device but I can't even use it on the charge 4 so I'm stuck with the same terrible device or buying an older model.

    Charge 3 is not reliable

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

In late-October 2018, I purchased my first FitBit, a Charge 3. It lasted for 16-days, just 2 days longer than the default return period. Frustrated, I called FitBit customer support and spent some time working with them to revive my device. We failed, and a replacement was sent out in mid November. It arrived 1 week later, and I immediate put it back into service. That replacement has now lasted 4 days, and it has also died. At no point have I mistreated any of these devices. Frankly, I haven't even worked them that hard as I'm not that active. Yet, here I sit with a dead warranty replacement, and I'll have to do the customer support dance tonight for the second time. At this point, I wish I had never purchased this device, and I had bought one of the other fitness trackers available at Best Buy in this price class. This Charge 3 just isn't reliable.

I had purchased a Alta Fitbit for myself and was so pleased I wanted to get my spouse something similar and made the purchase for the Charge 3. I was amazed how many more features it has than my Alta that I’ve told Santa I’ve been good so maybe I’ll get one for Christmas.

BlueTooth has issues. Worst customer care

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I bought one for my daughter's birthday's gift from Clever Training. Worked fine for the first two months and its sync with her phone and her Windows tablet got very unstable. The troubleshooting says the BlueTooth set up should be unpaired and paired again. Once when it's unpaired, it won't be able to get paired any more. Since then, her charger is useless. Chatted with customer support and told that it is a known issue. We have to wait for a new application update, which is the only way we can fix this "known" issue. We paid $120 for this, and it became useless because of the flaw of the product. They never refund and replace — worst customer care. I had a similar problem with Sony's product. They replaced it with a new one. Garmin did give me a refund. Fitbit is the worst.

Close, but not what it should be

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I loved the idea of giving myself more data for working out and improving. I still WISH it worked out actually... here were the problems: They have updated it twice, and successfully broke it both times... My fitbit stops connecting to my phone, data is lost, and it becomes pointless. Not a comfortable fit. It's pretty thick, making it not work well when i wore collard shirts (which means i had to take it off, making it an inconvenience.) Band broke after having it for only 2 months. (you'd think these would be built to last...) also screen gets scratched pretty easily and that was a dissapointment. the UX (user experience) could be more involving, they gather all this data but they don't do anything with it... Overall i really do wish it worked and i could have it incorporated in my life, but due to those faults it doesn't.

Needs a redesign. Bands break easily

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

The items works great when it holds up but the physical design needs a redesign. This product does not hold up well over time. The band break off from the watch after a short period of time. I’m not sure if it’s the rubber or what but this is my second one and they have both had this issue on mine and one on my partner’s did it on him to. What gives Fitbit? Fix the flaw or you’ll lose a customer. $150 bucks it should last at least a year.

I had the second version of the charge and this one is so much better. The feature I had no idea existed is the text messages to the screen, I didn't want a smart watch and this is just smart enough for me.

Good design but has significant drawback

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I was impressed with the watch design and fit when I got this tracker but quickly learned that there is no option to adjust the screen timeout setting, which screen on time lasts about 4 seconds before shutting off. This is just plain unacceptable for a $150 fitness tracker. I checked the fitbit support portal to get an idea of if/when there might be a software update to fix this glaring software design flaw but it doesn't appear to be coming anytime soon. I wound up returning this and upgrading to a smartwatch.

    Garbage.

The first Charge 3 ended up having pixels go out on the face. It was replaced under warranty. The replacement has now become so dim that it is unusable. This is a very widespread problem on the Charge 3 that is not being supported, corrected, or covered by Fitbit. Spend your money on another brand.
