The Charge 3 has major syncing & pairing issues with all types of devices. Reference the Fitbit Community message boards. I spent 2 hours with a Geek Squad person and he couldn't get it to work either. Buy a Charge 2, it doesn't have these issues but is NOT waterproof.

I decided to buy a Fitbit as a birthday gift for myself. Setup was simple and downloaded the app to my phone. I've had it for 30 days and had a minor inconvenience 3 days ago where the Fitbit didn't sync to my phone, but it fixed itself 24 hours later. No other issues. The Fitbit step counter is more liberal than the IPhone. In 30 days, I have carried both devices at the same time and I take 3000 - 4000 more steps on the Fitbit than the IPhone step tracker.

Took a few days to figure it out. Fitbit Forum answered all my questions. 6 weeks later I have TOTALLY MASTERED the food and nutrition section. I figured out where my eating habits nutritionally, adjusted my eating accordingly an feel fabulous. I have set AND updated my goals and have lost 12 pounds. I am retired so I have time to devote to my treadmill or walking when it's not too hot. Hope you find this helpful.

Does a good job of tracking steps but not so sure about accuracy of the heart rate monitor. I know it's not meant to be perfect but there are times when wearing my Polar H10 heart rate sensor (worn around the chest) at the same time as the FitBit that there could be a 20 bpm difference in the heart rate shown. Still, I don't leave home without it. Does a nice job of tracking my steps and overall fitness.

    Charge 3 Problems

This is my first ever review on Best Buy. I bought the Charge 3 the day it came out as the screen on my Charge 2 went out in September. The setup was easy on the Charge 3 and I like the new band, but the sliding mechanism is a bit sensitive, and more importantly, the Charge 3 does not sync to your phonem. I have tried many steps in the Fitbit Community and called Fitbit support and it still wont sync. This product was not market ready.

This FitBit is smaller and more streamlined then an apple watch. It can show you your texts, notify you of texts, phone calls, etc.. alarms, vibrate alerts, steps, heart rate, detailed sleep info, and so much more. I’ve had the different models of FitBits for years and they keep getting better and better.

Since I made this purchase I have had one FitBit Charge 3 replaced by Fitbit and had to buy 2 new Fitbit Charge trackers since buying this one. First, the tracker quit syncing with my pc and smart phone and their tech support couldn't get it working. FitBit sent me a replacement unit at no charge. It worked OK for a few months, but I had problems again with the sync. So I bought a Charge 4. It worked fine, except after a few months, I developed a rash from the plastic band. I ordered a leather band. So all was well until I bumped the watch on a yoga block and broke the piece where the tracker connects to the band. So I bought another FitBit as well as a metal band for it. So I have had 4 FitBit Trackers in less than 2 years. I like the information they provide, but the plastic wrist bands are awful! I wish they came with a choice of bands - plastic, leather, and metal.
