It is doing what I expected except for notifying with a vibration. I never feel it. I mainly use it for counting steps.

So far so good. Mine seems to have an altimeter and counts stairs so I don't understand all the reviews stating that they took it away on this model. My only complaint is sometimes the heart rate monitor deactivates itself from time to time.

Starting this off bluntly. I have had multiple Fitbit charges over the years and never have I had such a poor experience. I am only giving this 2 stars because I like the functionality and it all seems to be accurate. Me and the wife both picked one up, luckily hers seems fine. Mine however has not been great. The first one I spent an entire Saturday evening trying to get to work and just could not get it to get out of an update loop where it kept restarting itself. I exchanged it and had no update issues with the second one, but am having very horrible battery life. I have turned everything down as low as it can be and turned GPS off entirely and I barely get 24 hours, while my wife is currently at ~40% on her 5th day of usage. I really cant see mine lasting the ADVERTISED 7 days. If this is a bad batch Fitbit needs to do a recall on these. I'm about to exchange AGAIN and if the next one doesn't work right I am done with Fitbit. The point of the charge is to not have to recharge it every day. If I wanted to recharge a watch daily I would get an Apple Watch. Normally I would chalk my issues up to bad luck, but Fitbit forums seem to indicate that I am not the only one with issues and this is not isolated.

I keep expecting Fitbit product quality to get better but am consistently disappointed. Had my Charge 5 for 11 months and it won't turn on, reset, or connect via bluetooth. Will be looking to another vendor for my next fitness tracker. When it works, it works great, but not for long.

Love it- while it works. My bf and I each purchased one on April 18, 2023. On April 16, just shy of one year, and mine stopped working. Fitbit sent a new one since it was within a year. Fast forward another 3 months. While watering the garden, my watch got damp. Dried it out. Next day, the screen goes out. Still vibrates. Two days later and it completely died. Called Fitbit again as it was only 3 months old. They offered 35% off a new one. While that's a decent discount, the fact I'd be on my third watch within 16 months is insane. The boyfriends watch also died last week which is about 16.5 months into owning them. The screen turned yellow and it completely died the following day, prompting me to write this review. We are switching to a different fitness tracker brand completely.

I hesitantly traded in my Charge 4. They gave me a $35 gift card to use on anything. I upgraded to the Charge 5. What an improvement. I couldn't be happier.

Great, but look out for defective seal

Girlfriend loves her Fitbit, but after almost a year of owning it she had to get the pebble (the device minus the strap) replaced due to it going dead the first time she went in a pool with it. I've read online and found out that the first batch of this items had a defective seal on the back around the center where the light indicators are located. Beware if the seal is defective that this part will kind of wiggle, so make note when rubbing a finger across the back portion to determine that the seal is secure and will be protected when swimming. If it's loose, return it. Thankfully, since the item was still under warranty, we were able to replace it and the seal is secure. Love Fitbit products and would recommend them to anyone trying to keep track of their health goals.

Great version of the fitbit and Smartwatch in a sense. The only negative part is that there's no charging brick.

Best watch I have ever owned. Have owned Samsung and three "Fitbit" watches. The "Charge 5" is the absolute best smart watch for Health parameters. There is a learning curve but after that is mastered you will never want another watch.

This a one of the latest trackers from Fitbit. It is a big step up from the Charge 2 which I owned. It has many features which makes it the very best Fitbit tracker. I like the Fitbit pay capability and the ECG.

    Good Upgrade From Charge 4

Bought this to replace a Charge 4 that died after salt water exposure on a recent beach visit. So far it seems to be a nice upgrade and has some nice new features, including the color screen. Time will tell how durable it is. The Charge 4 lasted 2 years, while my husband's Charge 3 is 4 years old. So far, very pleased, and you don't have to purchase the premium services for this device to be useful.
