    Disappointed longtime user

This is my fifth purchase of a Fitbit product. Likely my last. First I had to abandon (forced) my active Fitbit account and sign up with a gmail account that I never use and now don’t get my emails and notifications unless I check the mandatory gmail account. Not convenient. The durability of the device has not been as strong as previous models. Chaulk me up as a disappointed loyal user who does not support the manufacturer dictates and mandates to their products and platforms. Not a good customer experience.

These devices are banned for kids under 13

Turns out that this cannot be used for a kid under 13 as they're banned for privacy reasons, which is an awful thing to find out on Christmas. So now I have to trudge the thing back to the store and get maybe a Fitbit ACE for kids or something, but naturally they're not on sale anymore or anything. I'm rather miffed.

DON'T GET IF YOU USE ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUTUBE MUSIC!!!! If you want to workout with music playing from Spotify or Apple music, know that you can not change the track from your watch. On the other hand, this might be a great fitness tracker, but i immediately returned it after finding out you can only control YouTube music with it, not any other kind of music player. Very disappointing. Especially since Google is known to be the open os platform yet they force you to pay for music services through them to get the full experience of this health tracker.

Fitbits blow. The predecessors and the Charge 5, 6 only last about a year until they stop working, or fitbit decides to brick them with an update. You can count on that. The app is meh and is ridiculously overpriced for premium data. They are however, the most comfortable to wear.

Absolute crap. I've ordered 2 of these, both are broken and will not hold a charge. I've went online, youtube, google, and talked to 3 customer service representatives, HORRIBLE product, returning the 2nd tomorrow. Nobody can explain why this is happening, all of the plastic has been removed that they were shipped in. DON'T BUY! If you do make sure you get the warranty- you'll need it!

Charge 6 - Inaccurate step count

Purchased for a friend as an upgrade to a sub $50 sport watch. The Charge 6 looks great, and has more features than the less expensive watch, but it is less accurate in counting steps. A 100 step test with the cheap watch returned a 100 step count. The Charge 6 test returned 112. We changed the dominant hand setting to dominant to lessen sensitivity and the test resulted in 92 counted. I own a Versa 3, which I've found to be quite accurate. They need to fix the Charge 6.

Hey there, Sergio. Sorry to hear you’re running into charging issues on the Charge 6 — that’s out of the ordinary. Here are things which may impact your device and some solutions:

      1. The pins on the device or charging cable are dirty: Dust and debris can accumulate over time. Clean the charging contacts on the back of your device and the pins on your charging cable
      2. The USB port or outlet is faulty: Try a different USB port or a UL-certified wall charger.
      3. The device isn't securely connected or you're using the wrong charging cable: Ensure the original charging cable is correctly and securely connected to your device.

That device has the worst charging system; it comes off without any effort. The sleeves come off; they don't hold up to a good workout, which is what it was designed for.

Hi there, DavidR. Sorry to know you’re having trouble keeping the Charge 6 on your wrist — we understand how frustrating this is. You may benefit from changing the band to something that should work better for you. Here’s how to change it out:

      1. Turn over your tracker and find the band latches.
      2. To release the latch, use your fingernail to press the flat button toward the band.
      3. Gently pull the band away from the tracker to release it.
      4. Repeat on the other side.
      5. To attach a band, press it into the end of the tracker until you hear a click and it snaps into place.

Bought my Fitbit in February 2024. In November 2024 it stopped pairing with my Samsung phone. Brought it to Best Buy Kenosha, they couldn't get it to work. The employee said that the product often doesn't last that long. Would not buy again.

Hey there, WilliamK. Sorry to hear you’ve experienced pairing issues with the Charge 6 — that isn’t normal. Here’s some steps to get your device paired and running smooth again:

      1. Uninstall and reinstall the Fitbit app
      2. Remove your Fitbit device from your account and phone
      3. Check your phone’s Bluetooth and internet access

DO NOT BUY FOR TEENS! Fitbit used to allow teens over 13 to have their own accounts but now that Google has acquired Fitbit the rules have changed. My 15 year old is apparently only allowed to use a Fitbit Ace. Spent the whole afternoon trying to make it work but it's just not possible.

Hi, KrisA. We're sorry to hear that you're unable to create a standard account for your teen child. Similar to many online services, our Terms of Service don't allow customers who are under the minimum age to create standard Fitbit accounts. The minimum age is 13 (customers in the EU may have different minimum age guidelines based on their country).
