I have had three different fitbits (force, charge, and charge hr) and must say the features of the charge hr are great. I love not having to tell it to start tracking sleep, the improved watch band, and the heart rate monitor. It does everything it is supposed to and so much more than the last two models. It is great. Highly recommended.

I had owned an original Fitbit flex a few years ago, and decided after my band broke that it was time for an upgrade. I love the additional features that the Charge HR offers. The first one I bought was defective, but loved that Best Buy exchanged it with no hassles. The one I have now works perfectly fine. As with the other Fitbit models, you can also sync with other apps that you may be using (i.e my fitness pal, etc) which makes tracking a breeze. I also love that it monitors my heart rate and let's me know when I'm in the different "zones". The sleep tracking feature on this model no longer requires that you tap and set it when you fall asleep. Just go to sleep, and the tracker senses the lack of movement, and will begin tracking. My condo has stairs, and always says I average between 1-3 floors, so I'm unsure how accurate the stair tracker is. Or maybe it would've been nice to know the measurement to which they do the tracking, and how many stairs is considered a "floor". I had read some reviews on the Fitbit community wall, and apparently it was inaccurate and not tracking properly prior to the update. I havent figured out how to make the notification feature work that allows phone notifications to appear on the face of the tracker. Seemed like it drained my battery Overall, a great product, and would recommend.

I've tried several less expensive trackers, but non have been as easy to set up and use as this one. Having the heart rate monitor is a big plus when exercising to see max rate and duration. My only complaint is knowing when to recharge. This should be ON the device and not an email notification.

The Fitbit Charge HR is a great product with one fault. It is NOT waterproof. This keeps the time, my heart rate,my sleep patterns, my steps/activity, distance, calories and more. It has help me be accountable to myself, which I was lacking. This also helps me identify/screen calls from my iPhone. It is a great product. If this item was waterproof it would be worth 10 stars!

I had the Fitbit Flex at first, but wanted to have the additional heart rate monitoring. I am very happy with the Charge HR. It is a little bulkier then the flex, but after the first day or so I don't notice a difference. My only complaint, and I expected it, is the battery life is significantly less then the flex. I does a lot more so I would expect a shorter battery life. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Let me start by saying that if you have a product, it should cater to all people. One would assume that if it is a fitness tracker, it would cater to those of us who are "bigger" than others. I love the product, I love the heart monitor and sleep tracker. I hate the size of the band. Large is stretched on me...... once I drop 20lbs it will be perfect but it sucks right now.

The ChargeHR is a great tool to tracking my daily activity and heart rate. I use it in conjunction with the app on my iPhone to monitor my diet & weight. It keeps me honest in pursuing my fitness goals and helps me understand the impact that each meal, workout, and regular activity has on my success.

I've had 2 prior Fitbit devices And each one has been better. This one is great in that it senses when you've done something so you don't have to log things. It's a little too sensitive on sensing sleep - either that or I spend more time sleeping in front of the TV than I know! Heart rate monitor is helpful to monitor stress levels in addition to exercise effectiveness.

I was one of the last ones in my office to pick up and fitbit. Man do I regret that decision. I have always said I am going to start working out or I am going to start going back to the gym. Only to never go or start working out. The fitbit allows is fun way to get going again with whole exercising. It first made me realize how much little walking I do the days I am in the office compared to the days in the field. The biggest motivation for me is on the app. The app has a feature where you see all of your friends who have fitbits. Being the competitive person I am, I refuse to lose to someone of my co-workers. If you are someone like me who is always say that they are going to start going to the gym or start working out. The fitbit is a nice kick in the pants to get you headed down the right direction.

    BEWARE OF SIZING BEFORE BUYING

I cannot say anything good or bad about how the Charge HR actually tracks activity. The reason being that it was way too small to fit on my wrist. I'm a guy with average wrists so I bought a large. Seems reasonable, right? Not exactly. It would barely fit around my wrist and I could just buckle into the very last hole on the band. I talked to a couple of female friends one of which wished she had bought the large as the small was too small for her and another that was glad she bought the large because it fit her just right. It should be noted that she has small to average wrists for a woman. I did find out that Fitbit makes the Charge HR in XL but it is only available on their website and when I checked there was a 10-12 week backorder to fulfillment time. The bottom line is that if you are anything over 90 lbs. you should buy the large because the small will be too small. Most women and men with very small wrists should be able to wear the large just fine. It's too bad that Fitbit doesn't make that clear up front. I gave it 3 stars because I did get good feedback on functionality from my friends. That is what prompted me to purchase it to begin with. I withheld the other 2 stars because Fitbit does not make the XL more readily available.

The Charge is great because it displays the time so you don't have to wear two pieces of equipment. It provides a decent account for sleep behavior and a detailed patten of heart rate. With the push of a button you can track your steps/disgrace and setup your own personal daily goals. I wish the device had the battery level (you gave to look at the app on phone or get email).

Overall, fit is nice, watchband type definitely stays on I imagine better than charge without HR (They are different clasp types). heart rate tracking is fairly accurate, confirmed with hospital pulse ox machine. stairs tracking is accurate HR data is encoded, so can output to strava but not see in real time on strava. app is great easy to navigate battery life is accurate no skin issues after three months

I Haven't worn a watch in years but couldn't give this up now! Tried the Vivosmart but really wanted a heart monitor & having to take the extra step of putting one on just wasn't going to happen for me or my husband. (I got us both one for an anniversary gift) My husband isn't usually vocal about gifts, but he has been on this! He really loves his. I couldn't believe how few steps I was getting in a day. I'd had surgery earlier this year so had a bit of an excuse but this has really helped me & my recovery. It does show incoming calls but I wish this showed texts & Facebook like the vivosmart - that is the only reason for my four star rating, otherwise it is a five star product. I know this won't be my last activity monitor, I'll always have one now. So when one comes out with everything I want on it and it's good quality I'm sure I'll be in the market for another activity tracker. I did purchase Best Buys service agreement with these as some of the reviews I'd read from fit bit owners -who loved their device - mentioned theirs had just up & quit. I know the ones they were reviewing were much earlier devices but I figured this way I'm covered regardless. Both my husband & I are using these on Android devices. Sometimes the steps it counts are off a bit but the heart rate monitor has been pretty well spot on.

I bought the HR version to check my pulse during workouts. The HR monitor seems a little suspect, as it bounces around 20-30 bpm within a short time. However it is only $20 more than Charge so can't expect a whole lot, it works well during non-activity monitoring. Other features are great. interactive website support where you can enter goals and track progress.

I bought the HR versus the regular Fitbit so that I could track my heart rate post surgery. As I am recuperating I am tracking my mobility by the steps taken, and the Heart Rate gives me an idea of the effort involved. I recharge it about twice a week. Added benefit.. when I get up at night I have a night light on my wrist. I have a thicker wrist and the large fits perfectly on the 4th opening from the end.

I am an older, sedentary woman who wants to improve my activity, but on a gradual basis due to health issues. I also have meds to take whenever my heart rate gets too fast. The Fitbit Charge HR keeps track of my activity and my heart rate accurately. I find it very motivating- I try to increase my total steps day to day.

I really like all aspects of this device! The heart rate monitor is very informative and gives an extra bonus to the other items it tracks. I also like the sleep monitor as it helps me understand some of my sleep habits. Only drawback is the battery only last about 3 days instead of the stated 5 days but it charges up so fast that it really doesn't cause any issues. I would definitely buy this again!

Flex worked good but Charge HR has nice improvements. I was mostly interested in the heart rate monitor. I have taken my pulse and see if the Fitbit is accurate a couple of times. Was the same. I did not think the watch feature would be very useful but I've found it more convenient than looking at my phone. Also the Charge HR does sleep times without telling when you go to bed and get up. Nice improvement.

This is an amazing piece of wearable tracking equipment. Worn like a watch, it gives you time of day. But with a tap it will give you an immediate reading on your chosen fitness measurement. (Mine is heart rate.) It continuously tracks your heart rate and your steps. It recognizes several types of exercise automatically - walking/hiking, running, outdoor cycling, and elliptical training. Or at any time you can press a button to tell it to track a specific exercise period. It will tell you calories burned, calories eaten (when entered or shared from another app) floors climbed, and more. The Fitbit app for your smartphone or tablet will share information with other apps such as MyFitnessPal, informing about exercise and calories burned, and collecting data on food intake. Or you can enter food consumption manually through the day. There is a long list of complementary apps that you can research before you buy - or after. I purchased a size small wristband but I am at the last one or two notches in the band. I have developed tender areas on my wrist where the device reads pulse with two lights. I've decided not to wear the Fitbit when I sleep; I have established my resting heart rate and can enter the amount of sleep manually. Also, I alternate between left and right wrist to reduce pressure or bruising over time. Try on the wristband before you purchase. And give your skin a rest routinely. Enjoy the tracking of your health and activity.

I love the FitBit Charge HR. It is easy to set up and easy to use. The features are great and I find them to be very accurate. Being able to monitor my heart rate is a big help. It definitely keeps me motivated when you see the results of your activity. The only downfall is the battery life. It only lasts about 5 days before you have to charge it again. It would be nice not to have to charge it as often.
