Great Activity Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I previously owned a Jawbone UP and a Wahoo bluetooth chest strap heart rate monitor for a year. I wanted an all in one activity tracker with heart rate monitor and watch. I also wanted something very minimal in appearance. The Fit Bit HR is a grand slam. When compared to my previous tracker and hr monitor the fit bit outshines it in every way possible. The tracking is very accurate for steps and HR. I did a side by side comparison of both. The fit bit also syncs wirelesly to your phone or (home computer with micro usb wireless adapter). The app that fit bit uses is very easy to use and tracks your food, sleep, hr, steps walked, stairs climbed, active calories, water consumed. The display on the fit bit is great too as all information displays with a touch of a button.

Good product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this one because I could monitor my heart rate and the cheaper products could not. I have an issue with the Fitbit's ability to track my exercise on stationery bike. Nothing shows up. Also, it runs down in three to four days. It only ran for five days the first couple of times. I have yet to find out how to add in more exercises to the app or just add my total calories for the day. But I have lost weight since owning the Fitbit. And I love the feature that track how I sleep each night. I see more and more people with one now that I own too. Awesome!

Great for beginners
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved it, but it counted to many steps when I constantly moved my arms at work! My fit bit force it not made anymore. I hope the clasp is made better so clasp stays together after a year. I Love the size, the use of a watch, and fun motivation!

Great Fitness band if you only need the basics.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this band for my wife and she loves it! The band tracks all day activities, steps, stairs and heart rate (the HR designation and difference between the Charge and the Charge HR). The band also has a silent vibrating alarm that can be set through the computer or via a phone or tablet. The Charge HR also allows you to receive call notifications with caller ID. This feature works flawlessly on iPhone but lags on Android. If all you are looking for is the above I would highly recommend, however if you are looking for more check out the Fitbit Surge!

Very Helpful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been working out but my gym's equipment wasn't telling me how many calories I was burning accurately. So my sister bought me this Fitbit through Best Buy and I picked it up at my local BB. I LOVE IT! It's amazing. It tells me how many calories I've burned and it keeps me motivated to walk more and get more steps in a day. The HR monitor in it also helps me because I can see how much my HIIT is helping. Since getting the fitbit about 2 weeks ago, I'm down 9 lbs. Another great aspect of it is that I don't have to wear anything around my chest or waist for my heart rate. The fitbit just takes the heart rate directly from my wrist.

Simple
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. That's what I really like about this health device. It doesn't try to do too much. It gives me time and date by just looking at my wrist. Push the button a few times and I get some additional information (HR, steps, calories, etc.). Very easy. It's also very easy to synch with your phone and the app is also very easy to use. Battery last a couple days. It's comfortable enough to sleep with as well. It's interesting to see how much sleep I actually get. I also have the Samsung Gear fitness watch and must say that this one is much better and easier to use. The Gear may have more options but sometimes more things just creates confusion and makes it more difficult to navigate. The Gear was also horrible at reading the heart rate while the fitbit continuously read it without any problems.

Has Its Shortcommings. Buyer Beware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using Fitbit products for over two years and the Charge HR does not hit the mark in my opinion. The display is much dimmer than the standard Charge model-- this is likely to help prolong battery life. The heart rate feature did not work well for me. I ran the Charge HR along with Endomondo/Garmin chest strap while walking around my house, up/down stairs and the Charge HR lags and if not worn snuggly would not display heart rate or the value would remain high/low. I personally believe optical HR sensing is still way inferior to chast strap monitoring. Note: heart rate works well once pulse is detected and the arm is kept relatively still. I didn't test the unit long enough (I quickly returned the unit due to major letdown) to determine battery life, however based on the battery strength symbol-- it wasn't going to last more than 3-4 days. Unit is comfortable to wear. I returned the Charge HR and plan to stick with the standard Charge which I've had for over 2 months with a very high level of satisfaction. Note, I had the same result with the PurePulse heart rate feature on the Fitbit Surge... I returned it too. I will be looking at Garmin's new VivoActive model.

Good but ....
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like my FB HR but ... if you use the app, it decides to it decides to credit you with mythical calories from every day before you bought the FB. There is no way to remove/reset these days and their calories and they show up in the charts too. FB says they are "estimated" but they are included in weekly, monthly and yearly numbers without any indication that they are estimated. I really don't understand why anyone would want to track these mythical calories or why FB thinks they should do it. Also, it needs to be re-charged about every 3 days.

Great for tracking so your not lazy anymore!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm 60 yrs old and retired and been sitting around so I joined a gym and wanted something to track my activity. I'm a bad sleeper and thought it would be good to see what it read which was very interesting. If you sit and watch TV for a long period it thinks your sleeping. If I didn't have a smart phone I don't think I would register my activity but with the app on my phone it is very easy to keep up on the sync. Just by wearing the Fitbit HR it makes me want to move more and I see I'm not getting in 10,000 steps like I should so I really need this to make me keep moving. As you get older they say keep moving and it's very easy to sit around and do nothing so I'm hoping this works for me.

Great !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this for monitoring my heart rate and exercise plus just for telling the time. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I wish it was waterproof as most of my exercise is in the form of swimming .
