    Disappointed

I was really looking forward to getting this as an upgrade for an old Fitbit Ultra. Very disappointed with it though as the step counter seemed to be much less accurate that the Ultra was. Normal walking seemed to be fairly close, but if you are in a store pushing a cart the steps are undercounted due to the fact your arm is not moving. Heart rate function was nice, and seemed to be somewhat accurate when at rest but unsure about its accuracy when working out. The stairs counter seemed to be way off with the Charge HR. Ended up returning the item as it did not meet my expectations.

Great way to stay on top of that fitness goal

I have both the Fitbit flex and Charge, and purchased the Charge HR for my uncle for Christmas. It's a great way for the family to stay on top of our fitness goals together. I personally prefer the smaller, simpler Flex because I have small wrists and the Charge/Charge HR is rather rigid and uncomfortable for me. My uncle loves it.

I bought my husband and I, each, a Fitbit Charge HR and the Aria scale for Valentine's Day. Once we worked through a few minor glitches in the beginning, we were really enjoying them. However, when they say "water resistant", they mean "resistant" NOT "water proof" in any way. We, both, are used to wearing water-proof watches and accidentally wore our Fitbits into the ocean on vacation (no diving, only surface swimming/snorkeling). By the time we got back to the ship, both Fitbits were dead and could not be revived, even after 5 days in rice! Even though we're disappointed in the lack of durability, we, probably, will purchase again because we were enjoying all the HR's were able to do - just NO water whatsoever this time!

Since purchasing the fitbit charge hr, I am pushing myself to get fit as well as lowering my heart rate. I also love the fact that this tracks sleeping habits. Best Buy has a huge selection and did not steer me wrong with this product! Very happy customer and fitbit user!

No complaints about the performance of the Fitbit Charge HR. Consistent measurements over the 3 months I have owned so far. Easy to use app and dashboard. Would love to see an inactivity alarm for those of us that work at a desk all day. Currently my only downfall is that I recently replaced my smartphone with a different one - LG L21G -that is not a compatible model with the Fitbit. This makes me oh-so-sad.

Bad overall product if you are in vehicles lots.

We have had the Fitbit HR for around a week now. The premise of the fitbit is good but if you work in and out of vehicles much it is a waste of money! While driving it logs steps taken and stairs/flights climbed. Which in turn shows you have burned more calories than you really do. Adding to the poor quality of Fitbit is you go into the dashboard to review your activity but it will not allow you to delete anything from your activity. Which would be a good start to get rid of false steps and stairs. But for me which I am in and out of my vehicle all day, there would be no way to delete due to not knowing when I was driving and actually walking to climbing stairs. Also, as with every product now, to get what you are thinking from the dashboard you have to pay either 9.99 per month or 49.99 annually for the "Premier" membership. Go figure. Like 149.99 is not enough of a waste of money for essentially a useless tool, now they want 10 more per month. I would not recommend this to anyone who drives/motorcycles during the day.

Good product with a few exceptions

Over all happy with it but there a couple of things you need to consider when buying. First the band runs smaller than the other bands on there products so you need to order the next size up. If you use the large on a older fitbit you will need a xlarge on this model. They have changed the logic on how it count steps so if you hold on to the handles on your tread mill, push a stroller or shopping cart it will not count the steps or will under count them for sure. I have checked this with Fitbit and they confirmed this to me as one of there latest changes

Fell short on one of the most important features

Majorly disappointed! I just purchased the Fit Bit Charge HR last night and to my disappointment it is not water resistant. You c an't wear in the pool or shower. Not sure this is going to work for me. I'll have to remember to take off before showers (which I know I won't always remember to do) and I can't use to track steps during my pool workouts which is the majority of my workout right now. They got so many things right on this thing but one of the most important they got wrong. I'm likely going to take this $150.00 item back and stick with the regular Fitbit until they come up with a better solution for water resistance.

Don't get caught up with the negatives

I researched all the fitness trackers extensively. I noticed that all of them had some sort of bad reviews. The fitbit best met my needs and my wife's needs, but I got hung up on all the negative reviews on all the sites. I can say that so far it and my wife's has worked flawlessly. I decided on buying the extended warranty for $30 from best buy and it was a no brainer at that point. Anything goes wrong in 2 years and it's replaced no questions asked. Even if I mess up. With that in mind, why wouldn't I try it? I highly recommend it and get the extended warranty, then you are worry free. In 2 years it's outdated anyway. The app is great and the dongle for your computer works well too. Battery is only a couple of days but put it on charge every day when you shower and when you get out, you are ready to go. BUY IT and get FIT!!!
