This FitBit has been doing just what we wanted it to do. Setup on Windows 10 was a bit tricky, but got it working on Windows 10 and Smart Phone.

Excellent product to improve the overall activity. This helps keep us motivated and app sync is really good. May take a few days initially to get our wrist used to it but it is all worth it.

Bought this as a gift for my mom. She has absolutely loved it and wears it without hesitation. I purchased the "Plum" colored Fitbit and the color is really nice.

Love this thing. Comfortable and looks better than the flex. I would suggest getting it on sale, 149 a bit much. Do not buy if u are looking for a smart watch. For a fitness watch this is far ahead of the competition. The constant heart rate and actual calories burned are a must. The app is one of the best I've used I actually took mine back and got the blaze for the smart watch features. But for fitness only this is the must buy.

Love that I have the time and date on my wrist. Love that it vibrates when I'm getting a phone call. It's kept me from missing a few important calls. It kept track of my heart rate well. Now, on for the other stuff . . . for $150, I'd expect a little more. Every time I hopped on my riding lawnmower while wearing this, I racked up A LOT of "steps." It logged it as a bike ride. If I'm sedentary in the evening, say reading a book perhaps or sitting at the table paying bills, it logs me as asleep, but restless. So, let's just say it's not accurate on logging your sleep. It's not worth the price for the functionality. I'd love to return it to the fitbit manufacturer and get my money back. It's become more of a social tool. My friends and coworkers do challenges with one another, and that's fun. Overall, too expensive for what it can do.

The Fitbit is inaccurate and unreliable

    Posted .

I bought my Fitbit Charge HR in June 2015. At first it seemed to be this awesome way of tracking my fitness progress. I soon realized that there are a few problems that make the Fitbit useless. 1st. The device is supposed to track the steps you take, any significant are movement (i.e. reaching for the phone, lifting a cup, picking something off of the floor, washing the dishes) will increase the counter. I want to know how many true steps I take not how much my arm moves. 2nd. The heart monitor is grossly inaccurate. I have used the Fitbit in conjunction with two other monitoring devices. The fitbit was always 5-20 points higher than 2 devices I know are accurate. I have a real need for accuracy, with out that I can exacerbate a medical condition I have. 3rd. I walk 3 miles at a fast pace every morning. The last mile of my walk is all up hill. This is generally when I want to see my heart rate. When I go to check it, there are no numbers displayed just dashes. It may be that its because I have a sweating, hairy wrist. I cant help the seating part. Its the South, in the summer. For $150.00 the thing should at least be reliable. For those three things I give it one star. I officially rated it two stars because the iphone app is very cool. It was well thought out and easy to use. I have been told that the distance tracker is also inaccurate as well but I have no observations with this.

I love this Fitbit! However, I would love it even more if it would count steps when pushing a stroller, as all of my walking is done pushing my children around! The heart rate monitor is great to track intensity. I would recommend getting this for accountability. However, for a mom keep in mind while you're pushing your stroller, your step count will be significantly lower!

I was looking to buy a step counter to help myself get motivated. I looked at various ones once I was in the store. Right away the Charge + HR caught my eyes. It appeared light and stylish. Took it home, charged the FitBit,and instantly synced it to my phone. It was as easy as 1,2,3. I'm impressed by the product and the fact that i got a few more bonuses out of it, like a watch. Only had it for about 3 weeks.

Bad Sync issues with CHARGE HR.

What a MAJOR disappointment the FITBIT HR has been for me. I've had nothing but sync issues since I received it as my Christmas present from my lovely wife. Please also look at their community help forum to confirm this review I worked in the computer industry for over 25 years for some of the biggest players, and have an electrical engineering degree. So setting up the HR should not have been an issue or following the directions supplied. I have done numerous test to see if the Bluetooth is broadcasting. My iPhone most reliably finds the HR, but my PC and iPad have many difficulties. Those difficulties are found when the settings screen of my iPhone shows the device is being found, but yet the iPad and the PC say to “turn on the Bluetooth of the HR” or 'can't sync.” All of these devices are within one foot of the HR, and are there at the same time. Seems very strange that an iPhone will find the device and iPad won't when BOTH are less than a foot from the HR. All of my devices will sync, but none will do so consistently or reliably. Clearly a HR issue!! The iPad consistently finds my other Bluetooth devices. Even when I do get the devices to sync, it's just a matter of time when they will no longer work as advertised by FITBIT. Try as you might, FITBIT's solutions are only temporary and from hours to days, the HR will again not reliably sync. With the overwhelming number of inquires to the help forum, long response times to emails and to calls to the help desk, clearly this is a major issue to FITBIT. But sadly they are nearly radio silent to the issue other than their stock answers of how to fix the problem with reboots, resets, forget the device... Everything said but, “we don't have a reliable Bluetooth on the HR,” or telling us “when the issue would be resolved”. The biggest disappointment for me is the response of FITBIT to the issue. When working and syncing properly, the HR is wonderful. When it isn't it is really a MAJOR headache. FITBIT, let's step up and admit you have an issue and then let the world know how you are going to fix the issue. Otherwise many of your disappointment customers will return your device and look at your competitors.

I do a lot of sewing by hand, one day during a crafting session, I discovered I had "walked" 500+ steps sitting on my fanny for an hour. Device is way too sensitive to subtle wrist movements (I wear it on my non dominant hand too boot). When I'm asked how I like the product by prospective buyers (and those who already wear one), I tell them I'm glad I didn't spend my $$ on it (it was a gift from my physician employer) and that it works great was a watch!!

My Girlfriend has one and she loves it. We are trying to up our walking time and our water intake and this is a easy way to keep track. Very informational on sleeping, which has make some changes on my evening habits. I recommend this if you don't want to carry your phone with you everywhere. Between the app and the wrist band we are keeping track of many things and it's working!

I chose the Fitbit - Charge HR after comparing to several others, and couldn't be happier. This device has motivated me to substantially increase my daily physical activity. I love the user-friendly app that allows me to compete with others without needing to schedule a time to workout together, and I appreciate the sleep monitoring component, too. Definitely the right choice for me!

I have owned a FitBit Flex and I loved it. So I upgraded to the Charge HR. The heart rate monitor is accurate enough for me. It was 1 number off from the nurse's machine. Great way to visualize the exercise you are doing. Get App as well. Although they do have the tendency to bubble up (space between the rubber and device) but it can easily be replaced or repaired or get a cover.

Really like my Fitbit HR. On the positive side - like knowing how many steps I've taken, distance walked, seeing time and date, knowing my heart rate and calorie count, and sleep patterns. On the negative side - need to charge it every 4 days or so, stair total not always accurate (guessing due to arm movement). The pros far outweigh the cons.

    Extremely inaccurate for most stuff

I'm very disappointed in this device. After reading the reviews I decided to go with a Charge HR to be a companion tracker in my new get fit journey. But the inaccuracies of this devices are completely awful. First lets look at the steps counter. The few days I've been wearing it now each show me having over 1k steps before even getting out of bed!!! Any slight movement of the arm you are wearing the device on gets registered as a step. It's way over sensitive and not a true measure of the steps you take. The distance traveled is also inaccurate due to this, and I also can find no way to try and calibrate the device based on your real steps or traveling distance per step. So if you have a shorter or longer stride than whatever magical number they use to calculate that, it's going to be wrong. Next the calories burned counter. They use a base BMR based on your height, weight, and age, but there is no way to customize it for your fitness or metabolism level. Meaning for people trying to use this as a tracker to get in shape / loose weight, it's going to be largely inaccurate as well. Me as a 33 year old 6' 1" male at 231 lbs, it shows me with an average BMR of just over 3k calories per day. I rarely eat more than 2k calories a day so if this were anywhere near accurate, I should be shedding weight without even trying! It really needs a way to customize the BMR for your fitness / metabolism level. The sleep monitoring is inaccurate as well. All 3 nights I've worn the thing so far it has shown me awake for 2+ hours in the middle of the night, when I most certainly have not been. Last night I slept a good 8 hours yet it only shows me getting 4 hours 23 minutes of sleep lol. I don't know if it's basing sleep off not moving or having a low heart rate or what, but whatever it is, I apparently do not conform to it. I could understand some restlessness in the sleep throwing it off, but 4 hour of sleep missing due to it yet I feel rested? And finally we get to the only aspect of the device that seems to be somewhat accurate, the heart rate monitor Using a timer and manually counting my heart rate for one minute while comparing to the device yields counts within a couple of beats per minute. So the heart rate sensor on this device is the only one that actually works fairly well IMO. I most likely will be returning this device by the end of the week if I don't find some aspect of it that makes it feel extremely useful to me. I don't know if a heart rate monitor alone is worth the cost of this device. I have not used it during an actual work out yet, going to attempt my first work out at a gym today. So maybe I'll see if it gives me any useful information today during an actual workout. Other than hitting a target heart rate though, I don't know who what else it would really be good for in this situation.
