    DO. NOT. BUY. EVER.

I bought my initial device in August 2015. About every three months or so, the textured covering would begin to peel off just underneath the display. As Best Buy only has a 15 day return policy, I contacted FitBit support and each time I received a new device due to their 1 year warranty. With the latest device, which I have not yet had for 3 months, it went dead after less than 3 days since it's last full charge. Unfortunately, this seems to be a problem within the FitBit support community. When this happens, it no longer syncs to your device (I have an iPhone 5S). I even tried to reconnect the devices as you would with a new tracker but to no avail. Now fully charged, it sits with a half empty software update bar but with no internet connection and no further progress. After exploring this situation, it seems that when this occurs, it's dead. Useless. Like the blue screen of death when a computer crashes. I've had nothing but problems with these devices in the past year. For $150, you expect it to last much longer if you take reasonable care of it. I never wore them in the shower, swimming or even washing dishes. Other than when charging, I wore it always, except in the previous mentioned situations. The concept is a good one, the execution is terrible. I wanted to upgrade, but now I'm concerned with spending additional money on a repeatedly failing product. Next time, if there is one, I'll choose a different brand. I'm very disappointed as this kept me motivated to move more, whether in the gym or outside exercising.

Good product, app needs bug fixes

I really like this product. This particular model can have a syncing issue with the app, which I guess they're working on. I did have to reset the tracker within the first few days, but now it usually works fine. Occasionally I have to try syncing more than once to get it to sync.

    Good Product, Poor Quality

I got my Fitbit Charge HR as a Christmas gift. It had been doing pretty good until a couple of days ago. The plastic back where the charger connects fell off. Now I'm having a very hard time charging the thing. I like the product, I'm just disappointed in the quality of the device. I had hoped it would last longer than five months before it started having problems.

The Fitbit Charge HR really has ways of making you get motivated to get your steps in. Making challenges with friends is a lot of fun and is a real motivator. The only downside is they seem to break relatively often -- but they have a great warranty that bestbuy fulfills.

Have purchased a number of Fitbits for myself and for gifts. They have all been used extensively. Wish the rubber covering was better designed so as not to become unattached. Changes to the strap from earlier versions were very effective. Great value for the price!

Two HR's died within 5 months

I purchased a HR in April of 2015 and the battery died in August 2015. Forgetting about it, chalking it up to a bad product I left it in my drawer. A friend reminded me about it and informed me that there was a 365 day warranty and I should try to get a replacement (it was $150 after all). Called and got a replacement quite quickly in February 2016. Here we are, 5 months later and my HR is broken once again, with the screen not functioning and the battery not holding a charge. I know what you're thinking, "this guy beat it up I bet" Well, you'd be wrong. With no more damage than what you would get from normal everyday use my TWO HR's have broken within 5 months. Is this a cool product? Yes, when it's working I loved it but in my experience they only last about 4.5 months and don't worry, if you have had an experience like this and your HR is out of warranty (even though you've only gotten to use you HR a COMBINED 9 months) Fitbit will offer you 25% off.

I bought this for my wife and she love's it. She competes with her friends so she's motivated. She doesn't use the heart rate/sleep analysis that much so probably would've gone with a lower model.

Great reviews but has not synced for 3 weeks out of 6. Company web site says they are aware of the problem for that long. Go with something else.

The ChargeHR has been a wonderful motivator for me to get moving. The tracker along with tracking my food has been an eye-opening experience. Not sure how accurate the sleep tracker is, but it's interesting information. Would recommend for people of all activity levels.

    Only one issue

Keeps track pretty accurately but the only issue is that while I'm working out that it loses heart rate I'm guessing because of the sweat. And compared to my heart monitor with a chest strap fit bit is 250 calories less than my monitor.

I had first bought the regular Fitbit flex but it fell off my daughters wrist a few time so I went with the HR. Now my 7 yr old daughter is enjoying her fit bit challenges with me and my wife with no worries of loosing it. It's a good product.

Battery life short and the only way you learn that the battery is low is via e-mail or checking the app on your phone. Further, battery rechargin method is awkward.

I love my new Fitbit. The only thing I don't like about it is the band. It took some time to get used too and it still does bother me at times. I really am hooked on it know and it is a great motivator.

Great idea, but it didn't work

So disappointed in this device. I thought it would be great, but about the only thing it does reliably is measure steps. Heart rate seems wildly inaccurate, and the sleep monitoring function is worthless. I've lain awake for an hour or more at night, and it didn't even register on the sleep log the next day. Worst of all is the sync function is a complete joke. I have to reset my tracker 4-5 times a week to get it sync, and there have been times (yesterday and today, for example) that it simply would not sync at all. My Mac could *not* find the tracker (hint: it's on my wrist as I type) at all. Not that day, and not until the next, after probably 10 or 15 restarts. Fitbit seems not to care, as they only say, "There's a known issue; we're working on it." It's been 4 months now, and they're still working on it. Finally, durability of the unit is weak. Scratches like mad, and it not waterproof. So, if you wash your hands vigorously, you better take it off or you could kill it. Its only advantage is that it's pretty small and light; flip side is the display is pretty small as well. I live in Mexico and bought this on a trip to the US, or I'd have returned it and gotten something else. The price was appealing, but not at the expense of all the hassle and poor performance.
