    Functional, but not durable

I love the app and functionality, but I've purchased 4 of these for my family and every single one has fallen apart inside of year.

It's perfect for my needs. I tried others and this one is the one!! It takes a little getting used to if you're not used to wearing a watch but after a few days I completely forgot I was wearing it.

Did I just buy 2 clunkers?

With all of the positive reviews, I thought a company FINALLY figured out the nuances to wearable tech. Not so much. I purchased 2 Charge HR's and neither one counts every step (shouldn't the pedometer portion of the device be the easiest to get right??). In addition, my Fitbit will tell me I am sleeping at 10 AM after awaking at 6. Tried multiple solutions from Nike's help site. Great concept Nike. Poor execution, unless the goal was a holiday money grab. I will be returning mine and the Charge HR I purchased as a gift.

    Ok, but had some bugs

It has worked OK, except that getting it to sync with an iPhone was buggy. Setup with a computer seemed to work easier. Wish it came with actual directions in the package.

great device with feature-free (bad!) software

    Posted .

After reading the rave reviews I was pretty shocked at how bad the software application is that captures and analyzed the stats. First, the app is not approved by Apple and is not available through the Ap Store. That means there is no sharing of the data with the iphone Health ap, and no ability to sync step data with what's captured by the phone. In short, claims that the device is compatible with iPhone are overstated. Second, while the device will let me know I have a phone call (I really don't care about that feature) it won't allow me to program more meaningful alerts. I can't, for instance, have it remind me to take medication, let me know I've reached goals other than total steps, or have it tell me that it's been an hour since I last got up and walked. That last missing alert (let's move) is particularly annoying, since Fitbit advertising implies that the device will do that. Fitbit forums indicate users have been asking for that for months with no response from Fitbit. Third, there is very limited personalization of data displayed. For such a popular item, it's frustrating that the accompanying software is so rudimentary and feature-free.

    It worked 9 days,

    Posted .

after 9 days the screen went blank. contacted Fitbit customer service. They sent me the wrong replacement (I bought a Charge HR, they sent a regular charge). Re contacted them and they apologized. Fitbit promised me they would send me a fedex label to ship the wrong product back. To date I have received nothing from fedex or Fitbit. I have spent more time trying to get this thing replaced than actually using it.

I love the way I can slide to see various data. It helps me keep track of running times and distances when I travel. I love the MOVE reminder for when I'm at work.

It was a gift for my son, he wanted this instead of a smartwatch. He said that a smartwatch would be too distracting to him. Look for it on sale! It goes on sale alot!

    Nice, sleek, and not flashy

It's a nice gadget that doesn't get too complicated. I wasn't sure about calibrating this watch but the distance was off and the "calories burned" always seemed far-fetched. I was able to remove those features from the watch so that was nice. As for "steps taken" throughout the day it looks like I was able to move my arm back and forth and it counted towards my steps. So the accuracy is off. I wouldn't recommend this product for the dedicated marathon runners.

Not for anyone wanting to track heart rate

This device cannot accurately gauge heart rate. Period. End-of-story! Took the Fitbit to a cardio rehab program, and compared both my resting pulse and my post exercise pulse. Both times the Fitbit indicated I was arund 70 BPM, when actually I was at 155 BPM. The only other feature I wanted thi8s for was step tracking, and I can do that with a $15 pedometer. Stay away!!!!!!!!!!!c

Father's day present for my husband from the kids so he could compare his steps to his teens. They are having fun with it. He likes the display and it works well.

This FitBit brand watch has a thicker band and a more secure way to enclose it than the smaller ones. It has more functions and can be synced to your other devices.

Bluetooth setup not that straight forward at first. But once setup, nice features. Too soon to tell anything about quality of potential issues.

My 3rd replaced Charge HR doesn't work anymore...

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'm not a negative person and can look on the bright side of things. But after having to contact Fitbit support 3 times because of various issues (stopped working/bricked, condensation, stuck on update/unknown error)...I honestly cannot recommend this product to anyone. The support has been great to respond...and even sent out replacement devices...but I'm over this. I would love my money back, but unfortunately I can't ask Best Buy after 9 months and Fitbit already said they can't refund me because I didn't purchase it directly from them. I'd honestly recommend NOT dealing with this issue and go with another brand. The picture is a bricked Fitbit Charge HR.

Syncing is a known issue with this model

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've tried two of this particular model. The heart rate sensor is pretty accurate (always matches what the elliptical or tread mill says) and the step counter is pretty accurate once you've been wearing it a few weeks. The biggest issue with this model is its ability to sync to your phone, computer, etc. It worked great the first 2 weeks. Since then, I have read dozens of online forums detailing the syncing problem that I'm having. There seems to be a honeymoon phase where it works great with each new device I sync it with for a week or so and then it stops. I have followed all of the steps to resolve the issue and find myself having to reboot my Charge HR daily. It won't sync with my Mac, my Windows desktop, or my Android phone. All of them worked once or twice, then stop working. If you only care about reaching today's goals, then you don't need that. If you would like to see your progress over the past few weeks, then I suggest you buy a different product. I know I will next time.
