I mainly purchased this for the heart rate monitor and sleep tracker. I'm unsure how accurate the sleep tracker is. I have had one day where the HR monitor seemed to be completely inaccurate. After cleaning the device and leaving it off for awhile, however, it seemed to return to normal functioning.

I had the fit bit for one year and when I saw the charge HR I was excited because it had all the features that I wanted, for a good price too! It syncs awesomely with weight watchers too so I don't have to track my activity points, it does it automatically :)

My daughter uses this not only for everyday use as a watch, tracker, heart rate. She uses it to help improve her endurance and speed for track she comments on it almost daily and is very pleased with it.

the fitbit does not stay charged properly otherwise I would have given a better rating. The time randomly comes on throughout the date without pushing the button or tapping the screen.

The heart rate isn't always spot on. Sometimes it spikes when I stop running or it decreases after I have started. I think it's pretty laggy but gives me an idea for the most part during workouts. Not sure the sleep tracker knows what it's really doing either. Everything else seems pretty accurate.

Great activity tracker, my wife loves hers. She first bought the Fitbit Charge (without heart rate monitor). Then somewhere along her travels (due to the weird buckle) it popped of and was lost. I then bought her the Fitbit Charge HR for $30 more than the one without the heart rate monitor. The main reason was for the normal wrist watch like band so that it can't pop off. The heart rate monitor helps the Fitbit know when your exercising or resting. Kind of cool but not necessary unless you want to hit a target heart rate during your exercise. So if your in the market for a Fitbit get the Charge HR or you'll possibly be buying another one down the road.
