I've only had this item for a couple days, but I love it. the only thing I haven't figured out is how to sinc it with the Apple Health app. Other than that I love the way it looks, performs and tracks my sleep and heart rate. I bought this over the regular Charge because I was looking for something to track my pulse through out the day, and this has done a great job, and after logging on to the fitbit website and getting the application on my iPhone, it keeps everything up to date for me.

This is a great fitness tool. It really helps you Tay accountable. Track steps, exercise, calories, weight loss, BPM, how you slept, great to lee up with or challenge friends. Still have a big goal to hit, but my Fitbit is helping stay on track.

    best weight loss tool

My wife purchased this for me for my birthday at the start of my weight loss journey, and WOW has it helped tremendously. Not only does it show calories burned you can log your food intake as well as water. It shows floors stepped, and heart rate which was key to weight loss success, as I had high blood pressure. There are so many tools to help you succeed, such as the sleep tracker that is triggered on its own as opposed to other trackers that you have to set. The one con is that it is not water proof, I have to remove it for showering and swimming. To avoid forgetting to put it back on I place it on top of my cell phone or hook to shower curtain hook while i shower. Overall a great asset to my weight loss journey. I have lost a bit over 25LBS since I have got this paired with gym membership due to all its positive pluses. MUST BUY

I'm a Fitbit user for a couple of years and have used the Fitbit Flex during that time. I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the Fitbit Charge HR. I am VERY happy with the purchase. The heart rate function is helpful during runs to ensure I get the most of my workout. I'm also pleased with the watch style clasp and consider it a welcome upgrade to the Flex. I love the call notification feature too! Despite a slightly shorter battery life, I find I can fully charge it in 1-2 hours making that a non-issue for me. Highly recommend the Fitbit Charge HR.

Purchased as a gift during a super online sale and it does it all. Sleep, heart, steps. Everything. Note: it should be worn further up the arm than a watch and loosely. Which means that if fits tight and hen purchase the next size larger.

Really love the new Charge HR. It is so worth spending a few extra dollars to get the HR function, and love that I can see my steps, time, calories burned, and stairs with a click of a button on the side. The syncing of more than one Fitbit device is a bit quirky right now, but otherwise the Fitbit app is the best I've ever used!!! The Charge HR band does seem to run a little smaller, as I went from a small flex band to a large Charge HR...good thing because the small purple band was typically out of stock or on back order in most store locations. Very happy with my purchase and have already been talking it up to my friends that are thinking of getting one!!

This is my second activity tracker. I had a Jawbone UP and although I liked their alarm when you're in "light sleep" option, it never sync'd properly. Fitbit Charge +HR actually syncs properly and have not had any issues. Silent alarm vibrates enough that i would wake up no matter what. Heart rate tracking works well. I recommend this before Jawbone because it just simply works. The battery life is around 4-5 days with normal use so if you're used to 14 days by Jawbone, it feels like you're charging a lot but this is a great trade off considering I've had zero issues with syncing.

Great gadget monitoring sleep, heart rate, and activities. It also notifies you if somebody's calling your fone by vibrating and flashing your caller's name, esp. useful if your fone's on silent mode. I just wish it was waterproof.

The Fitbit Charge HR is great little tool, I like how it's easy to read and sync with my iphone. The accuracy is a bit off but they'll get better over time as technology advances forward. It actually helped me increase my activity since it keeps a record of my daily physical activity. An unexpected plus is the that it also doubles as an alert for incoming calls which helps because i typically leave my phone in my pocket throughout my work day. Overall, it has been a good tool for me & I look forward to the future models.

I reviewed various trackers before selecting the Charge HR. I purchased this one for a different color. It has really motivated me to get up and go. Steps are very accurate as is the heart rate. It tracks the same HR as my Garmin HR strap when I go on runs. Only issue seems to be with stair count which based on forums seems to be a problem with the Charge HR but I really don't care about the stair count so it's okay for me. Just note that you can't have multiple colors of the Charge HR as you can't use them on the same account without completely removing the other one each time you want to wear a different color. It's a real pain if you just want to wear a different colored one with one outfit.

Before using fitbit as my fitness tracker I had been a jawbone user. I went all the way from the original up, the 24 and the 2. The up2 I ended up giving to my sister and got myself the charge hr. The reason for getting the charge hr was because of the heart rate monitor to track my sleep and measure if my blood pressure was getting too high. Also the food database of fitbit is a lot more extensive than jawbone and the accuracy of calories in vs out is pretty spot on. I know that a fitness tracker and app aren't true measurements of accuracy to track health, but at least it keeps me on the right track towards reaching my goals for 2016. If anyone is looking for a fitness tracker with a screen and heart rate monitor, for the price the charge hr can't be beat.

This fitness band still reigns supreme I believe compared to "smart" watches, the biggest reason for this is battery life and ease of use! No frills attached here, slap the tracker on your wrist and pair with your phone and you're ready to go - the app for Android is fantastic and leads you through the quick easy setup process. The ability to connect with friends and whatnot through the website or app is awesome. Heart rate monitoring and calorie burn tracking seems to be very accurate, heart rate monitoring less so until you let it settle down (it tends to read high at first for a couple of seconds and then settle in to your actual rate). The settling of the heart rate didn't start until the latest firmware update so perhaps it'll change back. Battery life is fantastic, lasting typically around four days but this might vary depending on how much physical activity you have throughout the day. Turning off auto exercise detection for the various activities it can track helps with the battery life. Going into exercise session tracking mode couldn't be more simple, just hold the side button until you see a stopwatch timer appear on the screen and when you're finished with your exercise press and hold the same button again until you see the stopwatch stopped on the screen. Sleep tracking is another thing this unit does very well and it's helped me tremendously figure out things to improve my sleep throughout the night, usually by cutting off things before bedtime :( As a programmer and general tech enthusiast I've worn lots of different "smart" devices and every one of them except this has annoyed me too much when typing as my wrists get uncomfortable resting on the thicker bands of some devices.

Both my spouse and I purchased bands to try to keep up competitively. Who can reach 10,000 steps first and get a "wrist buzz"? I like this band because it tells steps, it syncs well with my iphone, and shows lots of choices on the band, heart rate-steps for the day. Also monitors sleep, but that can only be viewed on the app. I would recommend charging while in the shower or if you have a car power source, that you recharge while in the car (you are not accumulating steps at that time anyway).

This tells the time, number of steps walked, heart rate, hours of sleep and quality of sleep, etc. I wear mine every day (and night). It is comfortable. The battery last several days before needing to be charged. I like it.
