Love Fitbit but not this model. Battery life is bad needing charged every 2.5 days- the great thing about Fitbit is the Fitbit customer service - they are awesome & they are sending me a replacement

I've had my Fitbit Charge HR for 2 weeks now. I was very hesitant to try one after I read through all the reviews on the product, but I decided to go ahead and try it for myself. I would like to begin by addressing the issues some people have with the heart rate tracking feature. Those of you who are having issues with the HR tracking must just have a defective unit, as my tracker does an excellent job estimating my heart rate at rest and when I'm exercising. Some people complain that their unit cannot track a heart rate greater than 160 bpm, but I consistently get my tracker to read bpm in excess of 190 bpm when I'm running. The step counter seems to be very accurate, although it will add a dozen or two steps while you're out driving or making excessive movements with your arms. The distance tracker is one feature that might not be entirely accurate. I walk/run tracks that are marked to be a certain distance around, yet the Fitbit always UNDERESTIMATES the distance. A lot of reviews here say that the Fitbit overestimates, but through my own experience, I don't believe that to be true. The tracker, however, is never off by too much, though. For example, one track I run is marked as a quarter mile, yet the tracker will estimate the distance to be about ~.21 - .23. No big deal. In my opinion, I'd rather have the tracker telling me I'm doing less than I actually am so I have that extra drive to do more (and to make up for the extra steps added on while driving). I can't say much for the calories burned feature on the device, because I take it with a grain of salt anyhow. So far, my Fitbit experience has been a success. In 2 weeks, I've lost about 10 pounds, partially because the Fitbit makes it fun for me to challenge myself. Diet and exercise are obviously the reasons I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks, but the Fitbit helps me keep myself accountable; for that reason, I am satisfied with my tracker. I encourage anyone to try this product for themselves before making a judgment on whether it is the right choice for you.

It started out great, until the first one just stopped working out of the blue. The replacement one the whole band ripped and the digital part fell out of the band.

I love my Fit Bit. I also have an Apple Watch and feel the fitbit is a much better choice for a fitness watch. It is easier to use and I like that it looks at steps not just %of goal. It is easy to add calories in, too. I like to see my stats on the app. Interesting to see my sleep patterns. We have step goal challenges at work, too which is motivating and fun. It is great that we can all link up and follow each other.

    Awesome Product

I have had my device for approximately 6 weeks now and I have to say overall it is a great product. I was skeptical on how accurate the HR monitor would be since there is no chest strap - but it is very accurate. I wore my old Polar HR monitor while wearing the Fitbit Chart HR just to compare and both products gave the same readings. I am now down 7 lbs and well on my way to my fitness goal. I love having a product that tracks all of my activity throughout the day. It helps me keep stay mindful that I need to stay active throughout the day - especially on the days I can't make it to the gym. I also love the sleep tracking feature as well. Getting an adequate amount of sleep is very important in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I do have a few things that I wish were better: 1) I find that I have to charge my device every 3-4 days - which is a bit annoying. I wish it could last longer without having to charge it. I would prefer to charge it once a week. 2) The mileage calculation is not quite accurate - when I run 2 miles on the treadmill - my Fitbit HR will say I only ran 1.75 miles. 3) I wish the charging port was not unique. In my first week of having my device I lost the charging cable and could not use any other USB cords to charge it. I had to order another charging cable which cost me $19.95 - ridiculous!!

The steps were never accurate. I replaced it with an Apple Watch. Watch was more accurate with steps then fit bit. The only thing I like bed the fit bit was for the sleeping function.

I've been wearing my ChargeHR for about three weeks now and compare it to me pedometer I wear. The ChargeHR detects anywhere from 400-2000+ steps fewer. This is disappointing and as I'm reading more reviews, it's pretty common.

The device itself worked great , and really motivated my wife. The problem is, the straps keep breaking. Fortunately , I purchased the warranty, and best buy replaced the item with no hassel each time.

The resting heart rate is probably the only reading that is close to correct. The steps and active heart rate was off. Not a great product for the active consumer.

I bought this to track my steps and also wanted one with a heart rate monitor. I love it to track steps and connect with other Fitbit family members. Having this on makes me go out there and get 10k steps when I would have stayed inside. I've had no problems with the device and like the caller id feature and sleep tracking function. I also like that it's a watch.

Second time bringing this back to the store. Bubbling up at where the device meets the bands. Let's see if third time is the charm. Not a happy camper.

Frustrated with my purchase, strap warped and now there appears to be a loose fluctuant bubble over the face. It still works, and wear it to show friends what happens to it after a year of use.

After reading the reports on the inaccuracy of the heart rate monitor I decided to return it. I thought I was going to die any second lol also I'm pretty sure I was not burning 3k calories a day.
