I received the Fitbit Charge for Christmas in 2014, in less than a year it has fallen apart. The band is pealing off and part of the plastic frame broke when I was putting it on.

Three defective Charges - I'm done

I bought my Fitbit Charge in Dec 2014. After less than a month, it quit working. I returned it and was given a new one. After about nine months, the band started bubbling and pulling away from the display unit. I contacted Fitbit and they replaced it. The new one totally quit working after just a couple of months. I contacted them today and they are refusing to replace it since they started my warranty period from the date I purchased my first Charge. This despite two defective Charges being replaced subsequently. They offered me a Promo Code discount that's worth about $50. I'll never buy another Fitbit product.

    Awful

It was a terrible purchase, i exchanged it, if you are someone who likes to walk A LOT then this is for you but if your getting for every day purposes its terrible. it doesnt track your steps correctly and if you shake it even a little it counts it as going up flights of stairs. the silent alarm was the only good part about it. the sizing is difficult too, i had to exchange a medium for a large for my 12-year-old daughter!

I loved my Fitbit Charge when I first got it. It has helped me be more active and I like how easy it is to use. The big problem I have with it is the poor quality. I don't think they expect you to wear it every day. I have taken good care of it, however the band separates from the device with normal wear. This is the second time that this has happened. I will not purchase another one.

My initial review was 5 but it has sadly gone down to a 2. When I first bought my fitbit, I loved it but not even 3 months in and the band has peeled off. I went online to see what I could do about it and found out a lot of people have had this problem. I take care of my tracker but it's just a product flaw.

We bought 3 Fitbit Charges. They count steps while driving, and congratulated me for climbing 13 stories...problem is, I was driving. The sleep quality log is ridiculous also, it just counts sleep while laying down, not necessarily do you have to be sleeping. To make it more accurate, you are suppose to enter your sleep hours into it. What is the point in that?? I'll be returning ours, but only have 15 days to do so, so cant wait long.

I would not recommend this strap style. Apparently mine was in the whole way and I lost it I had it a whooping 3 weeks. Like the Fitbit but not this style. I do not know my member number.

I wore it to work and I have a very physical job lifting and walking a lot! The interface was pretty cool the face that in less than 2 hours i was already on my 7,000th step and climbed 39 imaginary stairs was very odd also I have a 40 minute drive home from work and i some how managed to take just short of 1,000 steps while driving... Not very confident in this device.. Maybe mine is defected?

My husband was trying to make small but effective changes to his lifestyle and I thought this would be a great tool for him. He loves the step counter as well as the health and wellness stats it tracks.

Purchased a Charge from BestBuy in November, 2014. Button fell off after just a few weeks and I was able to exchange it for a new one. Now the button has fallen off again. And of course, I cannot find the receipt and am stuck with a defective, broken item. So, after two DEFECTIVE units in a row means I will NOT be purchasing anything from fitbit again. I absolutely love this tracker, you have the ability to set up you own goals. Challenge your friends and don't have to manual track your data. It sync thru bluetooth. Definitely a must buy!

I bought the Fitbit this morning. By 6:00 tonight the Fitbit came off my wrist and was gone! Understand I'm a 75 year old woman who does not do strenuous exercise. I bought this as an incentive to walk more. There is something wrong with the catch that would allow this to come off my wrist so easily. The person at the store actually put it on my wrist!

To keep it sorry I'm from the south and we are like Italians, we talk with our hands. Well as you move you arm while sitting it will count as steps and not a few. Shaking your hand four times added up to over 100 steps. The technology is just not there yet, go with the Fitbit one way more accurate. Oh while driving it will add steps too.

I received my first fitbit in Feb. 2014. Since that time I have had 5 fitbits. So in 2 years and 3 months, 5 fitbit products have failed. 1. the wristband separated 2. moisture from sweating damaged the internal operation 3. charging quit operating after 1 week 4. moisture from sweating again 5 wristband separated again They were good at replacing each that failed, but this time they only offered 25% off of my next fitbit purchase. I am trying to figure out how that is a good deal for me. The product lasted me on average 5.4 months per fitbit. Seems to be a quality issue. I will try another brand and let them keep their 25% discount.

    ***Buyer Beware

Both my sister and I purchased the Fitbit Charge. My sister's Charge stop working after about 9 months. She contacted Fitbit and was given a replacement charge at no cost. My Fitbit stopped working after 11 months (just this week) and I contacted fitbit to get a replacement. Fitbit no longer has the charge in stock, and wants to send an Alta instead. I have been going back and forth with them for an entire week, trying to explain that the Alta is not a comparable replacement. I asked if I could pay the difference and get the Charge 2, and they only offered me a 30% discount on the charge 2. Not exactly customer satisfaction in my mind. I really like the Charge and was happy with it, but want to warn you that if you purchase the charge and it stops working, Fitbit will not replace it with the Charge 2. You will be given an Alta, which is much smaller. My advice, don't purchase a Charge at this point.

Why would an athletic tracking device not be water resistant?
