My child really wanted this. However, being below age of 13, there was no way to activate on computer. I have a Fitbit and my child is intrigued with the dashboard. I like this health conscious product. I just wish there was a protected way for my child to use...maybe a more generic version could be created.

This Fitbit is great for working out. I also love the fact that it alerts me when a call is coming through.

I think the internals are nearly identical, as the app now confuses the defunct "force" for the "charge" & even lets you update to the same firmware. The differences being- the charge is a little bit wider, and significantly lighter (I think they moved from metal to plastic housing to reduce the likelihood of the allergic reactions some people had to the force), and the charge has a ridged texture in the band. They also widened the clasp a bit, helping it to hold a bit better than the force did. My biggest drawback to the charge is Fitbit's decision not to share data with the Apple Health app, which just seems petty to me, with no benefit other than trying to lock you to using Fitbit's app (which has its own benefits, and I feel could easily coexist with Health)- I just like the idea of Health having all your health data in 1 place to quickly view.
