If you are pushing a shopping cart or stroller or anything or carrying something and your arms aren't down at your side in normal "walk movement", the steps aren't counted.

Love this Fitbit !

I love that I can see how well I slept the night before. It explains a lot. I found that if I didn't move my arm while I was on the treadmill, It didn't register my steps correctly, so I just make sure to move my arms.
