After 7 months the band split even though I took very good care not to get it wet. FitBit replaced it and 8 months later the band split in the same place. I called customer service again and was told by the representative that the material was defective which was why they redesigned the tracker, however, they would not honor that it was defective and I would have to purchase a new one. The representative admitted that it was not user error. Very disappointed with the company and quality of the product.

There were so many things wrong with the watch like the charger not staying connected to the watch while "attempting" to charge. The wristband holes were toon loose and would not stay latched on my wrist, I lost the watch so many times because it would just unmatched even while just walking. It would only hold a charge for 1 day. Fitbit customer service said it worked over the phone and closed the case. I will never buy a fit bit again, maybe I'll try the Samsung next.

If you’re in the market for buying a fitness tracker, the Fitbit is the standout product at this time. Although many different trackers and brands have become popular in the past couple years, Fitbit remains the best option. This tiny tracker is an excellent tool for anyone from the running enthusiast to an exercise newbie who is looking to stay accountable for his or her fitness goals. Features: The following will highlight some of the features the Fitbit Charge comes equipped with. Aside from the more obvious features such as counting steps and calories burned, this tracker is capable of many bonus features designed to aid you in your fitness journey or simplify your day. Fitbit has developed a very useful app for smartphones so you can track your steps, connect and compete with friends, and stay up to date on the go. One of my favorite features is the sleep tracker. Fitbit senses when you’re asleep, tracks the exact minutes you’re sleeping, and reports the minutes you were restless or awake during the night. Another fun feature is the relatively new challenge feature. On the challenge feature, you can compete with friends on a choice of four different step challenges designed to motivate you. Other very handy features include tracking time, weight, miles walked, floors climbed, and water drank as well as an alarm feature, an interchangeable clock face, and much more. After being a Fitbit customer for over two years, I have been able to see first hand how the company’s customer service operates. After noticing the rubber protective layer on the outside of my tracker was peeling off, I promptly contacted Fitbit technical support with my problem. The customer service team replied within a couple of days apologizing for my troubles and explaining that a replacement was headed to me in the mail at no cost. After having this problem and researching other reviews, it seems that the overall durability of the tracker has become an issue. Although I was overall pleased with the customer service support I received, it would be beneficial for the company to look into more durable materials. Last Thoughts: The decision to buy my first Fitbit tracker over two years ago was one of the better buying decisions I have made. Although the tracker may not be indestructible, the customer service team will be there willing to help and/ or replace. After experiencing the capabilities of the Fitbit Charge, I cannot imagine not wearing it day in and day out. The fitness motivation and ease of using the tracker makes the product worth the money.

Poor battery life. Difficult time returning it. I was very disappointed with the associate and manager who I spoke to. I was finally able to return it, but they did not make it easy (even with my receipt, etc). I bought the HR from Wal Mart instead because of how I was treated. Had the return process gone like it should have, it would have been an exchange. BB has lost me as a customer. Very impressed with my Charge HR.

I purchased this in February. It's now October. The battery started failing in June. I have to charge it every night. I assume that's why it's called the "charge" because it doesn't stay charged? I asked Fitbit for a replacement and was offered the Alta which is not even close to the same model as the Charge. I'm gonna buy a watch because at least I can change the battery in it.

This is the third Fitbit charge I have gotten. The first was from Amazon. The second two from Best Buy. Good think I bought the two year warranty! The band continues to break right where the computer on your wrist is. Regardless of getting it wet or not.... And I never did!!!!! Something they (Fitbit) really should consider fixing....

I was super excited to use this product based on the reviews I've previously read. Based on the performance, this product gets a 5 stars. Now, based on material, this item gets 0 stars. One year later, it deteriorated and I had to toss it out. I will never buy another Fitbit...

None of these electronic devices are easily connected to utilize . I purchased the middle of the road Fibit to make it easy for my 10 year old grandson. His father is still trying to set it up. At this point I would not recommend this product.

    Great fitness tracker / wearable!

If you're thinking about a fitness tracker, you won't go wrong selecting the Fitbit Charge! It's very easy to set up and use, and several of my co-workers have one so we're having fun keeping track of each other's activity. AND talk about a behavior-changer ... the first day I wore this, I was motivated to make small changes - park a little further away to get more steps, use the stairs instead of the elevator, etc. It is JUST what I needed to get moving!

Before I had this Fitbit I had the Fitbit flex and as the 1 star review before me said sometimes it is hard to get the clasp for the wristband. I had this same problem with my Fitbit flex. But don't stop reading the only reason the clasp does this is because it had not been used yet after three times of wearing my flex the clasp would snap in immediately and same with the Fitbit charge. If you are spending this kind of money on a product don't get all hung up on a clasp after ten minutes. I mean come on do you have any patience!!! But seriously I love the new product and I would definitely recommend it. Btw I'm 13 so I am very picky on things.

My husband has had this for close to a year. The band seems to be disintegrating. And, it gives false readings whenever he rides his motorcycle! I mean really, over 10,000 steps in about a half hour ride!. Including approximately 125 flights of stairs! The only reason I'm recommending it is it seems to be accurate otherwise. It also does not track sleep very well. It does however, have a great watch feature, and is a pretty good motivator!

I was disappointed when the band on the fitbit broke because I wear it daily. However, I contacted the company and received another within the week. All in all, I like being able to track my activity level and especially track my sleeping habits.
