I had a fitbit ultra prior to this purchase and loved it, but I forgot to remove it from my clothing and it went through the wash. When I got this fit bit I read all the instructions and it is water proof- I can wear it in the shower or swimming. I love the fitbit product line; easy to use and works with my fitness pal for counting your food (much larger database available).

This device is easy to wear. The app for IPAD needs improvement.

I personally haven't used this because it was purchased as a gift for my sister. She likes to be active and she loves the heck out of this thing!

It helps in weight control and makes me want to exercise

I gave this as a gift to my son in law. He is very pleased with its performance and I was very pleased at the price as I had shopped around a bit

I have no complaints about the flex. I haven't had any issues with the clasp. The Fitbit app is great and integrates great with My Fitness Pal.

Bought this for my daughter. It had all the options she needed....no extra bells or whistles.

I would recommend this for anyone wanting to keep track and motivate themselves to exercise.

Fitbit has helped me lose 16 pounds by monitoring activity level and calories burned, as well as providing an online log to track number of calories coming in. It has been pretty simple, and easy to use. Just being aware has helped me make minor adjustments to lose weight and keep it off

Works great. I love the challenges. Because of the Fitbit I am now walking more and feel better.

I love to walk and the Fitbit makes me want to walk more. Inset a goal and try very hard to mske sure I meet it everyday. Members of my family and some friends have one. We are in competition with each other. Our computer keeps track of everyones progress so we can see what each other did for the day/week. It really makes younwant to work harder to get ahead of everyone.

Again, it is a great encouraging tool and I can set it up to do more than I was looking for. Look forward to watching my steps add up each day.

This review is based on a Fitbit Flex I owned previously as well as this one I purchased and promptly returned. I purchased this Fitbit because I actually owned one previously but I lost it. I didn't want to buy the more expensive models because I already own an Apple Watch Sport Series 1 and found that it is more accurate in tracking my exercise and movements. What the Fitbit Flex has on the Apple Watch is that it tracks sleep, last for about 7 days on a single charge, pairing with the Aria scale and a very well laid out and comprehensive app and desktop user interface that keeps track of your goals, progress and allows you to interact with your friends that also have Fitbit products. I liked those features and purchased it to take part in using them and to have a similar device as my wife so we could work out together, compare our fitness levels and hold each other accountable. My big issue with owning the previous Fitbit is that I lost it due to the closure/clasp coming loose. It had actually come loose a few times prior to me losing it but it had been in the house or the car so I was able to find it. It will come off sometimes when you put on a jacket to something with long sleeves. My wife had one and it happened to her a few times as well. I lost it in an area near my job. I searched and backtracked but was unable to find it. Afterwards, I saw that some aftermarket companies (including Best Buy) made a loop/slider that fit over the area that latches together to keep it on your wrist. Definitely a design flaw and I'm pretty sure it's the reason it was re-designed, hence the introduction of the Flex 2. So after all that being said, why buy another one? Like I said previously, I like the extra features it provides over the Apple Watch and I already had the desktop, app and scale set up with my stats. So after purchasing this new Flex, I opened it up and tried to set it up on my existing account and had issues getting it to sync. I tried everything the instructions asked. I deleted the old Flex, updated the app, deleted the app and reloaded it, shut my bluetooth off and turned it on again, shut off my phone and turned it on again, tried doing it initially when it was only at 20% battery and then tried it again several times when it was 100% charged. Still no dice so I returned it. I guess I could've called customer service but I didn't feel like waiting and my previous experience with them after losing my first Fitbit was non-responsive. I may just upgrade to the basic Flex 2 and see how that works. This is not to bash the Flex as I stated before, it does some things well but if this is your first fitness band purchase, I would go with the Flex 2.

My only gripe about the fitbit is the water resistance.... Is it water resistant or not....

I was already active when I got the fit bit. After getting it, my level of activity has increased from working out/running 2-4 times a week to everyday since getting the device. It's a great tool that shows you exactly where you are and how far you have left to meet your goals. I highly recommend this if you need that extra push to get off your butt and be more active.

I bought this as a gift for my dad and he absolutely loved it. He is a nurse and was surprised at how many steps he makes on a typical shift.

The Customer Service & delivery service is the worst ever - never buy appliances at Best Buy.

I bought the Fitbit because I wanted a device that would track my food as well as activity and sleep. I was amazed how accurate this little device actually is, and loved the feature of linking with the Lose It app. I havent been disappointed with this device and if you are looking for something that practically tracks your every move, the fitbit would be a great purchase!

I purchased the FitBit for my wife, and she loves it. She went to BestBuy a week later and purchased one for me. We are now in competition.

Wish it had more features, but really enjoy the device and all of the features it does have
