Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. Way better then some out there
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The fitflex is a very good product. It is easy to wear, water resistant, and can also sync with other websites like My Fitness Pal. Had the body bugg for a long time and I like this way better. As far as steps taken and length walked there is an adjustment when you logon from your computer. App portion needs a little work. But I am overall very pleased with this product and would recommend it to a friend.

Not super impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I waited a few months for this product to come out after I lost my ONE. I was excited about the wrist strap, I thought i'd have a better chance of keeping track of it. I've owned three FITBITS in the past two years and I kept loosing them or washing them, so the FLEX looked like a great option for me. 1. Read the online manual, its important, ive read many reviews that state "No Sleep Tracker", "doesn't have an exercise mode", "Its off by many steps". Well you must calibrate your running and walking stride length, just like the ONE. If you tap the flex rapidly for 2-3 seconds it goes into sleep/exercise mode, just like the ONE. 2. No display! I thought this would be a big deal but I found that syncing with an iPhone or iPad gives you the same immediate results. If you are truly tracking your steps every 5 minutes then its not the device for you and get a ONE. 3. Price! This is waaaay overpriced for what it is. Its basically a smaller zip without a display and a bracelet. My ONE which was the same price had a display, tracked exercise time, and also tracked steps. Maybe $60-$70 and this would be a good deal, im planning on returning my FLEX in a few weeks and getting another ONE. Hopefully I wont loose it.

Absolutely Love it!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased my Fitbit Flex after having surgery. I wanted to have accountability as I started to re-enter the exercise world. I love how easy this is to set up and use. Any questions I have had are easily found on the help page or by my friends who have this product. I love having Fitbit friends, my Facebook friends who also have Fitbit Flex. It's fun trying to out step them on the challenges. There are challenges to motivate you and I love seeing the dashboard racking up my steps. This is keeping me on track to get back to a healthier lifestyle.

Great Fitness Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.FITBIT Flex was surprisingly light and feels good on the wrist. I was afraid it would bother me at night, but I found it to be comfortable. It does a good job at measuring my sleep times, step counts and activity. I have to manually record my swimming as it’s not recommended to submerge it for any length of time. The flex was also easy to setup and online software can integrate well with other fitness software like myfitnesspal. Negative reviews seem to come from people who owned previous waist / pocket models of FITBIT. They seem to complain that it doesn't have a built in display or altimeter they are use to. It would be nice to have but I’d rather have lighter more comfortable wrist band then to bulk it down with those features. Why would one buy this product knowing it doesn’t have these features then give it one star complaining about it is beyond me. If you are looking for a wrist band model, I would suggest the flex.

Great for the money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had three different Fitbits now. I started with the Flex. It's very basic, but gets the job done. The only thing I disliked is that the bands start to tear between the band and pocket where you add the small tracking device. They have replacement bands, so that's convenient. Fitbit has a great customer service, too! I upgraded to the Charge HR solely for the heart rate feature!

Not ideal - The One was much more accurate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are looking for a tool to track just your activity, food, and enter in your heart rate/cholestoral etc - this is the ideal tool for you. It is simple and easy to use. I started using fitbit One when it first came out. That unit was MUCH BETTER from a functionality standpoint. It was able to track stairs, it was easily able to monitor sleep, and it was extremely accurate with my steps which average about 20K a day while at work. and 5-10K a day when I am not at work. I finally lost my One for good (the clip is bad design and it does not stay in place - I backtracked steps so many times to locate my One, I lost count). When I went to replace it, I bought Flex. Unless I bring my dongel to the job, I can not track my running around that day from the unit. I like on the second floor and have an office on the second floor. My one averaged my flights climbed between 20 - 25 daily between home/work. With the flex, after a 7 day period not one flight of steps have registered. Even if you keep count, you can not manually enter in the number of flights of stairs a day. Sleep tracking is another problem with Flex, although it is set for Sleep Mode, it does not track, however, if you look at the clock when you go to bed and first thing in the morning when you wake up, you can manually enter in the time. It will record the data and put it in the appropriate place, but it will not record automatically like the One did when you climbed in bed. The steps recorded really don't seem accurate. I know after a 12 hour day at my job I should have close to 20K steps. It registered 13K. The day I bought the unit, I took a walk on a specific route I have used for years that is often used for 5K runs/walks. This should be 10,000 steps and the unit registered 5,500 steps. It seems to be really off. All in all, a decent product and I have friends on chat. But I am already thinking that maybe I will try out one of the competitors in the fall and switch over.

1st Time User
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was extremely hard to get on and took about 15 minutes to work the clasp onto the other end of the band. I synced it to my iphone 5c and my computer. So far it is accurate with my steps and I can't wait to see how I do in my sleep. I bought one for myself and my boyfriend, though my boyfriend would probably get more out of it since he regularly goes to the gym.

Very impressed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a longtime fitibt user (fitbit ultra > fitbit one) my one complaint was always having to remember to take them out of my pocket when changing clothes and putting it in the wristband to track sleep. So upgrading to a wearable tracker was a no brainer. I strongly considered the Jawbone Up and Nike Fuelband but wasn't impressed with either after giving them a close look. I've been wearing the Flex and my One for a few days now to compare stats and I'm happily surprised with how similar the results are. I've even counted off a couple hundred steps while watching the app and the step count is pretty spot on (for me at least). The wristband is very lightweight and easy to adjust. As someone who doesn't wear things on their wrist often it's very comfortable and I quickly forget that I'm wearing it.

Great Concept, Lacks Execution
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little fitness tracker has plenty to offer. Combined with the app, it allows you to keep track of your calories burned and consumed. It also tracks sleep water and weight and other health statistics. The first problem is the accuracy of the calories burned. A lot of times you have to manually adjust this number is you want it to be accurate. The app lacks real integration into workouts and other aspects of your fitness regime. The quality is also an issue. The charger doesn't make great contact with the device. There were lots of times that the device should've been fully charged, but was still low on battery due to a bad connection. Lastly, my unit has quit holding a charge all together. When these issues are remedied, maybe this will be a worthwhile product.

Great tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Weight Watchers cancelled my meeting location so I cancelled my Weight Watchers membership. My Fitbit Flex is an excellent and LESS expensive replacement. I've been using it for two days and it accurately measures my food intake and calories burned. It not only tracks my activities, but it also tracks my sleep pattern. It is much more accurate and provides much more information than the tracker I was using with Weight Watchers. The only problem that I have had with the Fitbit is that the charging cable is defective and you have to tape the tracker on the cable in order to charge it. Reading the "HELP" section on the Fitbit website it appears that this is an ongoing problem, but I emailed Fitbit customer support and have requested a replacement charger. Based on what purchasers have posted on their website, Fitbit will exchange the charger free of charge so I am not worried about this issue. Highly recommend the Fitbit Flex as an accurate/comfortable tracker.

Got one for X-mas
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm not usually a wearable tech person but got this for Xmas. It's been both frustrating and interesting at the same time. I think the LED's are a bit off at times and you have to use the dashboard/app to keep track of it. Sleep mode is what I find interesting so far, somehow tracks your movement and sleep pattern.

Most Convenient Activity Tracker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recommend the Flex to anyone looking for a good quality product that will sync wirelessly with your smart phone. Great for tracking steps and calculating calories burned. The FitBit dashboard on the website makes it easy to track your meals, workouts, etc..

Best Activity Tracker For The Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After researching many of the top fitness trackers in this class, I chose the Fitbit for several reasons. First off, it looks nice, and they even offer several different colored bands. The small electronics portion of the device itself is slid into the band and not built into it like many of the others. This makes changing the band color easy and you don't get tired of wearing the same and only color. It includes a Bluetooth USB dongle that allows you to sync wirelessly to a PC or laptop (which it does automatically when you get within about 20 feet of it). This was a big feature for me as my smart phone does not have the new Bluetooth 4.0 that some of these trackers will only work with. It has compatible apps for both Android and Apple and if your smart phone does have Bluetooth 4.0, it will sync automatically to your phone without having to plug anything in. The app looks nice and isn't cluttered or silly. It also has a web presence that allows you to log in and see expanded details of all your stats (steps taken, calories burned, distance traveled, etc.). It's a well thought out site that allows you to see your trends as well as current stats and also offers a social aspect that allows you to see how your friends stats compare to yours. The Fitbit also has a sleep tracker, and while I didn't buy it specifically for this feature, I found the information interesting enough to make me want to keep wearing it to bed. I'm very satisfied with the Fitbit and enjoy the information it shows me about my workouts.

FitBit Flex is helping me!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wear my FitBit Flex everyday. love checking the smartphone app for steps taken, calories in/out, sleep logs, food logs, all easy to do. I also love earning badges for accomplishments. It takes dedication and commitment to get healthy. the Flex helps make the work a little more tangible and enjoyable.

I think Its good!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have bought mine flex almost 2 weeks ago now. I was also very excited about this product as I have not worn a fitness tracker yet and after all the research I found this one and decided to wait. Syncing through my iPhone and not being tethered to my computer to sync it up was exactly what I needed since I am on my phone all day for work. I thought it was a little inaccurate at first, but after just waiting and playing with it daily, it seems to be ok. I know tons of people are giving negative reviews so far, but not here. I left the app open and walked a bit, it did lag a bit in counting the steps but for the most part it was spot on, nothing is 100% perfect. At no point was I missing hundreds of steps or miles as it may be in some cases. I did get the step count thing while i slept but that seems to have stopped. I wear it on my dominant hand and clicked the appropriate options in the settings. I was concerned about the calories burned while sleeping, although I knew that this was true but really unsure about over 500 calories when i sleep sometimes less than 7 hours. Apprently the average person burns about 77 cal/hr while sleeping. So i guess the math works. If you are not moving your arms while say on an eliptical trainer, it is not going to count every step. If you pay attention to how it works, you can make small adjustments to compensate. I am thoroughly satisfied and would recommend to anyone. I like how most people don't even notice it, so i don't have to explain what the hell it is and why i wear it. I don't need to advertise I am trying to lose weight or even secretly scanning barcodes to count calories on myfitnesspal. great product, look forward to the updates on the dashboard.

Awesome Product - Extremely Durable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an extremely good product that I would recommend to all of my friends who are looking to stay active. I left my Fitbit Flex outside under the snow for 3 months and it still worked in the spring when the snow melted. It has allowed me to be a much more active person while at the office because it is a reminder that I shouldn't just be sitting around all day.

Must read directions on how to use it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So overall I am okay with the purchase. Price point is solid, website and tracking is solid. I ran 7.16 miles this morning and when I came back to sync it, it only showed 6.7 miles. So not as accurate as it should be to be honest. Slept with it last night and I would say the sleeping part of it was accurate. When I awoke I remembered to look at the clock to remember those times and when I looked at the report this morning it was spot on. Again overall I like the purchase but do not expect dead accurate results. I don't think you should ever expect that from any of these devices to be honest.

I am exercising more now that I can keep score
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this device to help me get to the gym more regularly and it does that.Being able to track my steps makes me conscious of how much I have r have not , exercised in a week and as a result, I am going more often. While it does not automatically track calories (you can manually enter them in the app), it does serve as a gentle reminder as it sits on your wrist.

Could be a lot better, Downgraded device..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previous Fitbit owners be warned.. This device is very much a downgrade from both the ULTRA which is what I used and the ONE. This device only allows a single "goal progress" to be set and monitored in the device at a single time. In order to change the goal monitoring you must log into your Fitbit account and choose what goal you want to be able to monitor within your settings of the Flex. The progress options you have to monitor are steps, distance, calories and very active minutes. It would have been ideal if they would have programmed in a tap sequence to allow you to at least change what goal progress you wanted to view within the unit itself rather then going into your account and changing device settings. Regardless its very minimal upfront quick reference information that prior units easily displayed and you will quickly miss. One other thing that lacks in this device is the ability to track stairs, I'd assume because of arm swing the unit would probably not be accurate at all and that might be why it didn't have this feature, but it was one that I grew to like and now miss a lot. For accurate tracking I did have to log into my account and input my stride distance in order to make the device a lot more accurate. New users of Fitbit may not mind this device as they will have no base line to go from but prior Ultra and One users might not care for the lack of features this device has upfront and the overall "lack" of thought into the development of the device. A few fixes to improve future Flex bands which I would guess might happen would be to minimally have a small screen rather then just LED blinking lights to display information and direct goal display changing. Lastly if you do not own the newest of devices for syncing count yourself out from utilizing the devices boasted easy quick syncing. The device will not sync with anything other then Bluetooth 4.0 and select devices within this 4.0 category so you will be using the USB sync provided which takes away from what should have been a backwards compatible Bluetooth sync device. I own a Ipod 4th gen and Galaxy Tab2 and of course the device cannot sync with them because of the "future 4.0 " device outlook that Fitbit decided to go along with thinking everyone will purchase new phones, ipods etc. Regardless your stuck going back to your base computer to sync. Overall I would have expected more from Fitbit and the device is not worth the price, this unit is basically the Fitbit ZIP in a smaller water resistant wrist band. We all know that fitbit can do programming upgrades but at this current time the device has fallen way short of what you might expect.

Not Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my Fitbit Flex for about a year now and have logged 4,410,556 steps. The flex is pretty simple to use, the website and the application are also easy to use. This is a great device because it tracks sleep patterns/steps and the only real time you have to take it off is to charge. The only negatives I have are that the band breaks after a while I have purchased 3 in the past year. Also The Flex will no longer charge. I do not know if my issue is isolated or not, however, I do not think I will buy another Fitbit. I will probably try another tracker instead.
