Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Flex Wireless Activity Tracker's sleep tracking, ease of use, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. While some users mentioned challenges with the charging mechanism, clasp, and price point, the positive feedback on core features outweighs these concerns. The water resistance and alarm features also received positive comments.

    Band won't stay on

I GOT MY FITBIT AS A XMAS GIFT & A REPLACEMENT for VDAY. I LOST BOTH FITBIT, bc the band won't stay on. So, of course I won't be getting a 3rd one. I notice once u switch out the original band it came in; that is when I lost both of my FITBIT., bc I had different band colors that came w/ it. I wouldn't recommend this FITBIT; especially for the price is not CHEAP, go w/ one that doesn't have the snap band

Works pretty well for tracking steps...not so much on tracking sleep. Couch time watching TV is logged as time sleeping.

Love the Fitbit. I've had both the Fuelband and Fitbit, and I prefer the is one. Primarily because of its compatibility with my Iphone as well as the ability to track my sleep patterns.

Not sure how anyone can give this anything but 1 star. 1) Material seems like a cheap rubber 2) Its difficult to snap it on 3) you have to practically beat the thing to death just to get it to light up and do whatever is suppose to do. 4) It comes with no instructions you need to find them online 5) in order to charge it you must remove the tiny piece (the actual pedometer) from the harness.

this is the best of all the trackers I have had. if you are honest with your self u cant go wrong. A must for bariatric post and pre surgical people. new model is out. Avia scale makes a great companion for this product. the new one is better but I don't like the GPS feature of new model. $49 premium membership makes tracking easier if u don't want to spend the $49 annual membership it still works great I didn't want membership and it still works for me (honesty is the key with any tracking products)

    Lackluster

I've had my Fitbit Flex for just about a week and am less than impressed. First, it's not the easiest thing to put on. In the 6 days that I've had it, I've already had to reset it twice. Plus, it does not recognize riding a recumbent bike as either steps or physical activity. It's really no better than the free pedometer apps that you can get on your phone. The only advantage with the Fitbit is that you don't need to have your phone on you at all times.

I was able to get my Mom counting steps with her new fitbit in less than 10 minutes. It is a very simple product to set-up and now she uses it daily.

    believe the bad reviews

    Posted .

Believe most of the horrible and horrid reviews; SAVE YOUR MONEY; customer support isn't support - known engineering defects are hidden or suppressed and my FitBit was a Flex, a gift which I gave back. I spent hours trying to get it to work after taking it out of the box; it never did work. It could not get it to access the Internet to start a new account and since you can only get data from the device by Bluetooth or the computer\Smartphone, it became useless and a huge waste of money. I tried customer service which wanted me to disable my anti-virus; then, my firewall - both did not work - then, I was escalated to the next level which did not return to follow-up and eventually told me: "The issue you were experiencing regarding the "no internet connection" error message is something our engineering team is aware of and are currently working to resolve." They offered nothing, no solution, no extras for the inconvenience and basically didn't care that I gave it back. The old expression governs: "you're only as good as your weakest link" and I encountered a complete chain of missing and weak links. Save your money or downgrade your expectations - it is an expensive pedometer which may not work and has poor customer service, or no service and poor technical support. -david

Love this much better than the Aria

I am VERY happy they came out with this! My Aria feel out of my pocket and my dog ate it so when I saw this I HAD to buy it. I love it! I forget it's on my wrist, people think it's a watch so no one asks any questions like a band, or the little device one. I love how when in sleep more it doesn't fall of like the Aria would in that band they would give you. It's also compatable with My Fitness Pal which I LOVE! Overall, worth the money!!!

Has Accuracy Issues But Otherwise Good Product

    Posted .

There is good and not-so-good about the Flex. Overall so far I am happy with the purchase, but I need to do more accuracy testing. GOOD: Once you get it on your wrist (the snaps are difficult) the Flex is very comfortable. Most of the time I don't even know its on my wrist. Charges quickly, links up and syncs easily. Works great with apps both om iphone 5 and the most recent ipad. The dashboard info is not as complete as some sites but it is more than enough for me. I find the sleep function easy to use and helpful. I have sleep apnea and use a CPAP so its nice to see that I am not waking nearly as much as before using the CPAP. NOT-SO-GOOD: Accuracy seems mixed. I have done no calibration or manual entries, but I did compare a long walk with the striiv. They were very close. A big problem for me though is that when I ride my motorcycle it adds steps. Yesterday I rode about 250 miles and it added an extra 6000+ steps. Not good as riding season is here. I suppose I could take it off while riding but because the snaps are such a pain it will be inconvenient. Haven't had the same problem in the car. At this point I am happy with it but I do need to run better accuracy checks and find a resolution for the problem of adding steps while riding the bike.

    Not quite what it seems.....

I bought the Flex in an effort to be better about walking. In most respects it lives up to its' advertised capabilities. There are a couple of areas that are seriously deficient. 1. It advertises that it tracks sleep. It does not! It only detects if you are quiet in bed. Recently I set it for sleep and went to bed at midnight. I finally fell asleep at 3:30. #My problem, not the Flex but it was one of the reasons I bought it.# My log stated that it had taken me 7 1/2 minutes to fall asleep - because I was just quiet in bed. Another night it tracked me as being up 9 times in an 8 1/2 hour period but said I slept 8 hours and a few minutes. Needless to say one doesn't fall asleep instantly the second you lie down after being up. 2. The website is seriously overtaxed. At a minimum I can only log in 1 out of every three or four attemps. It returns a messege stating that they are having problems. Hopefully things will improve.

Love the Features, but It Won't Hold a Charge

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Love the product, but after about 6 weeks, the battery started to drain almost daily. It's supposed to last 4-5 days. Also, when recharging, it often inaccurately flashed 5 lights immediately, as if to say it's fully charged when it's not. Sometimes the full flashing appears after just 30 minutes (it's supposed to take 2-3 hours for a full charge), again, incorrectly telling you that's it's fully charged when it's not. My husband had similar issues with his and had to immediately return it. Be wary of the setup process if you have another FitBit in the house, as it can easily pick up the wrong device (when he activated his, it picked up MY Fitbit, which forced him to restart the process and forced ME to diassociate his device from my account.) The iPhone and iPad software is a bit kludgy as well. Sometimes it just hangs and cannot find your device, meaning you have to close and reoopen the app.
