Been using it for a month now catching some inaccuracy a lot through out the use. Don't feel it helps any.

overall I like it but I have had to get it replaced 4 times already in six months, it stops charging, wont charge or wont sync. when it works it is great but it is pain to keep having to go back and exchange it. I am a fitness prof and am always trying out new stuff. I like this but only if it works.

good concept, but needs work in accuracy

I think Fitbit is on the right track as far as concepts go. Great way to track fitness and easily update your phone with 'so far' data to understand how much more you need to accomplish your daily goals, however, the sensor is too sensitive, even with the bracelet on your non predominate hand, the tracker adds steps with a slight twist of your wrist- so while I’m driving, I could easily add 250 steps while commuting to work.. But I'm driving... while mowing the lawn, the vibration from the mower makes me accomplish my required steps in about an hour of mowing. I am returning the product and going to try out the fitbit one activity tracker - seems to have better reviews so it’s worth a shot!

Just as good as my Up band

I've owned an Up band and now a Flex. I thought the Up was a very good product and I think the Flex is just as good if not better. It seems on par with accuracy and I love the ability to have data sync in the background.

    Charging system is worthless

    Posted .

I am now on my 4th Flex - only because FitBit continues to replace them (which, I suppose is good). The charging system is JUNK! The fit bit does not fit snuggly into the charging unit and in order to get a good contact, I (and many others) have had to resort to securing the fit bit in the charger using rubber bands, paper clips, binder clips, or whatever works. This is UNACCEPTABLE! Yet, despite all the complaints on the fit bit online forums, they still have not improved this system. After 3 units in 10 months, I can no longer remember all of the issues, but most relate to charging. One time, the 2 outside lights would stay on forever and this caused the fit bit to need charging every day - and it finally died. The last time, the fit bit just died on its own and no amount of resting or recharging (or no mater the rubber bands/binder clips), it would not recharge. I have also had bands which have started to fall apart. I would love to return the Flex to Best Buy (it was a 2013 Christmas present), but their return policy had expired by the time my first Flex broke.

The only good thing is that it auto syncs

    Posted .

I bought this because it had good reviews, other than the many reviews that said it died within a few months. I ended up returning it a day later. Here's why. The only good thing about it, in my opinion, is that it auto syncs all by itself. The bad things are that it is very inaccurate. It adds tons of steps when doing a stationery activity. It is made very cheaply and seems like it will break at any moment. You have to look at the app or a computer to check your progress. And last, you have to charge it all the time (I had my brand new flex plugged in for many hours and it never reached all 5 lights). I returned it for the vivofit 2 that corrects every one of these issues, except it doesn't auto sync.

I bought Fitbit Flex. The clasp is impossible. I would spend so much time trying to get this closed securely. Unfortunately, less than a week after I bought it, it came off in a shopping trip and I lost it. Like throwing a hundred dollars out the window.

    Great App, some minor disappointments

The companion app is absolutely fantastic: provides a huge amount of info in an intuitive way. I'm not certain of it's accuracy during intensive runs, and the display panel scratches if you look at it the wrong way! Aside from that, it's ultimately a great motivator towards a healthier lifestyle.

    Great... when it works.

Great when it works. Mine works okay but my fiancee's is already unreliable, and she has had it for only two months. Her Fitbit will not hold a charge longer than a day and a half. Charging the Fitbit is a nightmare for both of us. Oftentimes, the device doesn't charge. You have to hold it just right and God forbid you should touch it while it is charging, as it may just stop charging unexpectedly. Overall the "working" product is great. But, a product that does not work as expected (battery life and charging) severely limits its use to me, and as a result lowers my overall rating to 2 stars. Do your research here, you may want to wait for a future generation Fitbit, once they work out the kinks.
