I've learned that mine lasts about 3 months, eventually the battery on the fit bit just goes out and no longer charges. I charge it once a week as directed and it is never exposed to extreme conditions such as excess cold or hot. As far accuracy is concerned it does well, I think the Jawbone was better, but the fitbit does fine. Would I recommend this, no.

My wife has lost two of these things in a span of a couple months because this model suffers from a basic design flaw. Namely, the two hooked clasps on the wristband don't securely keep the FitBit on your wrist. Period.

Bought one for my husband. No buckle closure, just 2 peg-like pieces to fit into two holes. He lost it after only 2 days wearing it.

I got my Fitbit Flex as a gift at a conference I attended. After only 3 months it quit charging. Customer service was slow and unresponsive and they expected me to package it up and send it to them in order to get a replacement. If I could give it zero stars I would. I do not recommend this products.

I have purchased two in nine months. Have had multiple syncing and charging issues. Customer Service responds with a laundry list of things to trouble shoot. It just shouldn't be this difficult. Battery fits poorly into charging cradle for both devices purchased. Can eventually get it to charge but you have to futz with for five minutes to get it right. I am abandoning this product for another solution.

It started out fine and I liked it until it totally died on me -- in less than 8 weeks. After 8 weeks, the battery starting draining in less than 24 hours and then just totally died and wouldn't recharge or reset. BTW, the charger NEVER worked and I could only get a charge if I borrowed a charger. Since there is no phone support, you can only communicate via email, which is less than ideal. FitBit is supposed to send me a replacement... waiting.... And, I forgot to mention, the band also broke.

Inexpensive with all features I need. Might get one for wife.

Fitbit advertises 97% accuracy of the Flex Fitbit. Just got one. It records steps OK, ..... also keyboard wrist actions and car travel vibrations as if they were steps. I don't know if this is because I am on the bigger end of the body size curve (6'3", 260 lbs), but this tracker was not accurate for me. I did get a nice auto-generated congratulatory email when I hit 5000 steps..ummm... but that milestone was achieved with wonky stats. The sleep tracker was mostly useless. It shows markers for Restless or Awake, and was inaccurate too. I was up for two hours in the night, it did not show this. I often lay still, but awake, when I can't sleep...it did not show this either. Calorie logger was OK, but without accurate step count, I could not trust the calculation showing how many more calories I could consume that day and stay within goals. It might work fine for for you...or not. Keep your receipt and all the parts until you have tried it a week.

I am currently on my 3rd Flexbit. 1 popped apart and the second one would not take a charge. The device was loose in the charging cable and I had to use a paper clip to hold it in so it would charge. They also need to allow people to adjust the sensitivity of their product. I know they say that their algorithms can tell the difference between swinging your arms and walking, but I do not believe I walked over 10,000 steps in 5 hours.

It fell off my wrist the eighth day I wore it, it is gone forever

The concept is fantastic and I like the app. The display on the device stopped working on day 2. Returning it.
