Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. I Love My Fitbit Flex . . . When It Works

I want to love my Fitbit Flex (I really do), but I am on my second Flex in four months! My first Flex's battery started draining faster than it should, which led to the device shutting down and my stats not being accurately kept. Eventually it stopped doing anything other than flashing/blinking. I contacted Fitbit Support, who was slow to respond (two to three business days), but once they did respond were quick to ferret out the problem and offer a resolution. In my case, replace the Flex. Shipping was slow, but it was at their cost so I shouldn't really complain. Been using my second Fitbit Flex for about ten days now and already notice something is "off" about it. It's not accurately indicating the battery life of the device and I'm also questioning the stats the Flex is keeping. I walked three miles this morning (sixty plus minutes of activity) and the Flex claims I was only active for eleven minutes! There's just no way that can be accurate! I've gone ahead and contacted Fitbit Support again, but I'm pretty disappointed. I spent waaay too much money on Fitbit products to have them stop working after three and a half months and ten days! To anybody considering the Fitbit Flex, I recommend holding onto your money (or find a different product) until Fitbit addresses the problems with this device.

You really get what you pay for this, it's nothing over the top special but would work for the normal everyday person.

    Returning it!

I bought this because I need to see how active I actually am, not simply to meet some goals I have set. I will be returning the Flex tomorrow and going back to the One. I need decent accuracy, not motivation to hit (or go well over due to losing steps) some random number. I just walked around the house and again it counted zero steps. If it was missing a few steps here and there, fine, but being off by hundreds is completely unacceptable. Today i took 3 walks that were each 500 steps by me counting each individual step. The first I used my left, non dominant hand, flex wearing hand as I usually would while walking. Some swinging but also other natural movements like taking a drink, scratching my forehead etc. The flex skipped 135 steps out of that 500. The second walk I tried to concentrate on swinging my arm as I walked, not an overly exaggerated swing but a little less natural. The flex skipped 100+ steps. The third walk I walked naturally, not using my arm for anything at all other than a natural swing. The flex again skipped 100+ steps.

    LOVE FITBIT, BUT NOT FLEX

I absolutely LOVE Fitbit products....but not this one. I had it for 3 weeks and the rubber/silicon wrist band started cracking around the area where you push the sensor in. For a product you're supposed to wear 24/7 that doesnt make sense. It also only tracked about half of my steps. I gave up and finally returned it for the ONE which is awesome!

    Not worth the money

I bought this device in April and after a few days of it not holding a charge, it quit altogether. The bands are prone to breaking, from normal use and the calories it says you've burned are grossly exaggerated/ If I had burned the number of calories it says I did, I would have lost about 80 pounds since I bought it.

I would not waste my time with this again

What ever you do, don't waste your time with this product at this time. I purchased the FitBit Flex and with in two weeks the band broke.I did not stress it out in any way. come to find out from several other people that received the Flex (we did a group work program and we purchased the Flex to assist us in our personal goals), their wrist band broke at the same spot as mine. I contacted FitBit customer service asking for a replacement wrist band and it is now been over a month and I have still not received anything. Oh I've gotten a nice letter from one of the customer support managers telling me how important I am to them as a customer but yet I still have not received the replacement strap.

My new Fitbit Flex will NOT track my sleep, so I decided to go to the company's help site - unfortunately, they don't appear to really have one. If you buy a Fitbit, you are essentially on your own - and that is the real issue - poor customer support. It seems like once they got your money, you are dead to them.

Poor battery life and not accurate

After wearing this for 4 days the battery was telling me that is was dying. I charged the battery but when I plugged it in, it was telling me that I had 3 out of 4 bars for a charge. 2 hours later it was telling me my battery was dead again after i let it get a full charge. Wearing it to the gym 3 times I was active all 3 times but the tracker only showed I was active for 1 out of the 3. I was showing it to some coworkers to show how it works on my phone and the active tracter was only showing 4 min's out of the 30 for the day. I put it in my hand and shook it for about 10 seconds then my phone was saying I was active for 72 min's for the day. Not accurate what so ever.

Had the Fitbit Force for 3 months before it fell off my wrist unknowingly. Clasp is not reliable and you will eventually lose it. Save your money.

Horrible! Do not buy Fitbit products

Purchased the fitbit flex and fitbit HR 13 months ago. Almost 13 months to the day, the flex dongle stopped holding a charge. The HR is only charging to 50%. When I contacted fitbit they stated that they are only responsible for replacement or repairs up to 1 year - after that time - we would need to buy a new product. That they had no solutions for a faulty battery. Seriously? To me that clearly demonstrates shoddy manufacturing and that their "business strategy" is based on customers purchasing a new product on a yearly basis. Really? Again, Apple, Garmin and Samsung are dominating this market - and all have business strategies for products lasting much longer than a year. So we will be replacing our 1 year fitbits with superior products.

    Check for compatiblity!

Make sure and check to see if you phone is on the list of approved devices. I switched to the Samsung Note 3 and it will not sync. Fitbit has no fix in the works according to the email I received from them, so the Flex is worthless because I am not available to sync it to my computer every day.

I managed to get a good year out of my flex but it completely died at 1.5 years. I called Fitbit support and asked for help but they did nothing for me except offer me 25% off my next purchase...only covered for 1 year. Considering the cost I expected more.

Great features, tracking not accurate at all

I just got my long awaited Flex and was so excited to try it out. So far it is really cool, but there is one MAJOR issue that will cause me to return it and buy a Jawbone Up, the tracking of steps is WAY off. I did a 3 mile circuit, with my arms moving the enitre time, and it only recorded it as 2 miles! I did this 2 times to make sure. For a tracking device, I would expect it to be a lot more accurate or at least be able to calibrate it like the Jawbone UP can do. I can also set the UP band to be in exercise mode, which tracks my exercise as an event. Fix the tracking and enable calibration. Lastly, the UP band, when put in sleep mode, shows light and deep sleep as well as how long it takes to go to sleep. I am really dissapointed after waiting this long for the Flex.

Issues with FitBit Connect Software on my Win7 PC

I bought this Fitbix Flex yesterday, and am rather disappointed. I bought this item to help me with the motivation to be more active, but when I got home from work and tried setting it up on my PC, the software I downloaded from the site doesn't even work! The program itself loads, but it will not let me click on the "Add A New Device". When I click on it, it does absolutely nothing! This is rather frustrating since I have spent all this time FORCING it to work, and FitBit Customer Support is telling me to do the things I have already done which consisted of uninstalling and installing over and over again, making sure I have all OS updates, etc. If I do not get a more helpful response from FitBit withing the next two days, I will be returning this product.

    Epic Fail

I bought this fitbit today I tried to set it up on my MAC laptop I got an unexpected error occurred message. I tried several to set it up uninstall/reinstall software. I am a computer guy so I know what I am doing. I google the problem and sure enough on fit bit's own help forum scores of people have experienced this. Fitbit has know of the problem for what looks like months and not fixed it. I have no patients for companies who do business like that. I buy something and expect it to work. When the company knows and continues to sell unwitting consumers a product they will waste hours on trying to get it to work is inexcusable. I am taking this back for a refund tomorrow. Do not buy anything from this company.

I got this for my wife. It was tight for her to wear and after awhile she felt like she was a prisoner to the unit. You have a download before midnight each day or else. Not easy to changes modes by simply tapping. Returned product when it stopped working properly.

Their service is awful and their product is faulty. First i had trouble syncing my tracker then after only two weeks of having it, the stupid thing fell off my wrist without me knowing so now I'm out $100 and I can't explain how upset I am that their "warranty" doesn't cover lost or stolen items. The wrist clasp is faulty!! I've searched online and there are plenty of people who have had the same thing happen to them but they got their product replaced. I emailed customer service and all I get is a No Sorry?! This is ridiculous
