Customers are satisfied with the Flex Wireless Activity Tracker's sleep tracking, ease of use, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. Awesome product but the battery doesn't last long

I fell in love with my Fitbit Flex but have grown tired of having to charge it every three days. I know battery life varies with use, but I've been bummed by how few days I get out of one charge. I know other devices can last anywhere from 6-10 days, including Fitbit's Charge and Charge HR, so I've opted to use another fitness tracker at this point. But if you can get past the shorter battery life, this device and companion app are great! Good build quality, very user-friendly, and nice aesthetic. The app and lights on the wristband are both excellent for motivation, too.

Im loving the flex already. It seems I am more active trying to get in all my steps. Very accurate I would say it doesnt count steps when your typing or just moving your arm. It hasnt added steps driving either. I can wear it in the shower and It goes to the app via bluetooth on my iphone 5.

I decided to pick up a FitBit to try to get more active. I found that just writing down my exercise was inaccurate and not motivating me. Enter the FitBit Flex. Tracks my steps, my really active minutes and my food intake from MyFitnessPal. I started to view exercise more as a game. I always try to do more steps than the last day. For me this device really worked. I enjoy the motivation it gives me. Battery life is great, tracking seems pretty accurate, sleep monitoring is a neat feature too.

    Competitive step tracker

I chose the fitbit flex for its price and for the fact that fitbit is one of the leaders in step tracking technology. That and I was ready to compete against family members to see who would walk the most on a daily average. Since picking it up, I have noticed myself getting up more at work and sit still events to get my steps in. You only need to charge once a week for 30-60 minutes. I highly recommend this if you are feeling competitive towards friends and family.

    First Fitbit product, very cool

I've used this product for about a week now and I won't take it off. I don't think it's that inaccurate once you set up your stride information. I calibrated mine based on Nike+ Running app, counting my strides and doing a little math. I use it in conjunction with MyFitnessPal app on my iPod Touch. I do all my food/exercise/water/weight logging in MFP and it automatically syncs to my Fitbit account. Info entered into Fitbit also syncs back to MFP. It's a preference thing I suppose, but I'm used to MFP. I do open the Fitbit app quite a bit in order to wirelessly update my progress and view it on the iPod. The sleep tracker is a neat idea. I have mine set to sensitive and it generally says I wake up about 12 times a night. That's probably about right as far as restless sleep goes. It's spot on when I wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. I haven't had the problems that others state as far as counting "ghost" steps while working at a desk or traveling in a car. Mine might add about 50 steps or so during a round trip into town (about 20-25 minutes of driving), but some of this is attributed to the fact that I move while driving. If you're looking to get a casual/general idea of your level of activity and need a little motivation to achieve your goals, this product is probably for you. If you are looking for absolutely spot-on information for serious, intense training, then it probably isn't for you.

Surprised by how much I like it

As these wearable trackers have become more and more common, I've always been a bit skeptical about how useful they would be, or whether I would like one of not. I certainly didn't plan on buying one for myself. When I received a FitBit Flex for Christmas, I decided I had to give it a try. It was really interesting to see how my activity/calorie burn rate varied from day to day, just due to variations in what I had to do at work. I made me see how I could alter my routine in order to burn more calories consistently. Now that I've had it for a few weeks, I've set a goal to burn more calories each day. It will definitely help me achieve that goal, and should help boost my fitness level in the future.

I like the FitBit Flex very much. As a new user, it has worked to get my head back into improving my fitness habits. It is very easy to set up. There has been a bit of an initial learning curve as I explore the benefits and limits of it's website. Following are the pros and my wish list for improvements: TRACKING ACTIVITY: even a vague, step counting manner is better than nothing, BUT, it seems that it would be so simple to offer the user the ability to customize activities on the website. I play tennis, do Nordic Trak and yoga. Using the FitBit website, it should be easy to enter these activities manually. Weight Watchers does it. With FitBit a new activity can be created, but the only way to customize a new activity is to describe it in terms of pace of walking, running, swimming or biking. Hard to figure out how to translate tennis to a running pace. I plan to refer to my Weight Watchers web site for that. FOOD: There is a decent database of food, especially branded foods. BUT this database needs to be expanded considerably. And it should be much easier to create customize foods and recipes. Right now it can be done but it is cumbersome. The way I have been doing it is to list each ingredient in, say, a soup, then taking the total nutritional info and entering that when I use "create a new food" to add the recipe to my own personal database. Again, Weight Watchers has a much better system for creating a customized food items/recipes. SLEEP tracking was one of the features that attracted me to the FitBit. I have learned that when you are sleeping, the FitBit merely measures your wrist movement. If you are lying still, trying to go to sleep, FitBit thinks you are sleeping and records it as such. Perhaps a heart monitor could track sleeping much more accurately. FITBIT is hopefully introducing new products in the next few weeks. Here is what I would like to see: - The addition of an activity monitor that tracks heart rate.(keeping the slim size. No mega-watch sized monitor.) - Improved activity customization on the website. - Improved food customization on the website. - Recipe builder on the website. With these improvements, the already wonderful FitBit would be practically perfect in every way!!

I love this company and have owned most of the fitness tracker models since joining fitbit years ago. I love the interchangeble wrist bands, which prevents wear and tear and allows you to coordinate with what u are wearing. This model is also fairly rugged when it comes to wear and tear. My 1 complaint is not being able to see the number of steps taken with a glance. You have to use your smartphone or other device. Otherwise, great product. I upgraded to a charge HR, which is perfect!

The fitflex is a very good product. It is easy to wear, water resistant, and can also sync with other websites like My Fitness Pal. Had the body bugg for a long time and I like this way better. As far as steps taken and length walked there is an adjustment when you logon from your computer. App portion needs a little work. But I am overall very pleased with this product and would recommend it to a friend.

I waited a few months for this product to come out after I lost my ONE. I was excited about the wrist strap, I thought i'd have a better chance of keeping track of it. I've owned three FITBITS in the past two years and I kept loosing them or washing them, so the FLEX looked like a great option for me. 1. Read the online manual, its important, ive read many reviews that state "No Sleep Tracker", "doesn't have an exercise mode", "Its off by many steps". Well you must calibrate your running and walking stride length, just like the ONE. If you tap the flex rapidly for 2-3 seconds it goes into sleep/exercise mode, just like the ONE. 2. No display! I thought this would be a big deal but I found that syncing with an iPhone or iPad gives you the same immediate results. If you are truly tracking your steps every 5 minutes then its not the device for you and get a ONE. 3. Price! This is waaaay overpriced for what it is. Its basically a smaller zip without a display and a bracelet. My ONE which was the same price had a display, tracked exercise time, and also tracked steps. Maybe $60-$70 and this would be a good deal, im planning on returning my FLEX in a few weeks and getting another ONE. Hopefully I wont loose it.

I purchased my Fitbit Flex after having surgery. I wanted to have accountability as I started to re-enter the exercise world. I love how easy this is to set up and use. Any questions I have had are easily found on the help page or by my friends who have this product. I love having Fitbit friends, my Facebook friends who also have Fitbit Flex. It's fun trying to out step them on the challenges. There are challenges to motivate you and I love seeing the dashboard racking up my steps. This is keeping me on track to get back to a healthier lifestyle.

    Great Fitness Tracker

FITBIT Flex was surprisingly light and feels good on the wrist. I was afraid it would bother me at night, but I found it to be comfortable. It does a good job at measuring my sleep times, step counts and activity. I have to manually record my swimming as it’s not recommended to submerge it for any length of time. The flex was also easy to setup and online software can integrate well with other fitness software like myfitnesspal. Negative reviews seem to come from people who owned previous waist / pocket models of FITBIT. They seem to complain that it doesn't have a built in display or altimeter they are use to. It would be nice to have but I’d rather have lighter more comfortable wrist band then to bulk it down with those features. Why would one buy this product knowing it doesn’t have these features then give it one star complaining about it is beyond me. If you are looking for a wrist band model, I would suggest the flex.

I have had three different Fitbits now. I started with the Flex. It's very basic, but gets the job done. The only thing I disliked is that the bands start to tear between the band and pocket where you add the small tracking device. They have replacement bands, so that's convenient. Fitbit has a great customer service, too! I upgraded to the Charge HR solely for the heart rate feature!

Not ideal - The One was much more accurate

If you are looking for a tool to track just your activity, food, and enter in your heart rate/cholestoral etc - this is the ideal tool for you. It is simple and easy to use. I started using fitbit One when it first came out. That unit was MUCH BETTER from a functionality standpoint. It was able to track stairs, it was easily able to monitor sleep, and it was extremely accurate with my steps which average about 20K a day while at work. and 5-10K a day when I am not at work. I finally lost my One for good (the clip is bad design and it does not stay in place - I backtracked steps so many times to locate my One, I lost count). When I went to replace it, I bought Flex. Unless I bring my dongel to the job, I can not track my running around that day from the unit. I like on the second floor and have an office on the second floor. My one averaged my flights climbed between 20 - 25 daily between home/work. With the flex, after a 7 day period not one flight of steps have registered. Even if you keep count, you can not manually enter in the number of flights of stairs a day. Sleep tracking is another problem with Flex, although it is set for Sleep Mode, it does not track, however, if you look at the clock when you go to bed and first thing in the morning when you wake up, you can manually enter in the time. It will record the data and put it in the appropriate place, but it will not record automatically like the One did when you climbed in bed. The steps recorded really don't seem accurate. I know after a 12 hour day at my job I should have close to 20K steps. It registered 13K. The day I bought the unit, I took a walk on a specific route I have used for years that is often used for 5K runs/walks. This should be 10,000 steps and the unit registered 5,500 steps. It seems to be really off. All in all, a decent product and I have friends on chat. But I am already thinking that maybe I will try out one of the competitors in the fall and switch over.

It was extremely hard to get on and took about 15 minutes to work the clasp onto the other end of the band. I synced it to my iphone 5c and my computer. So far it is accurate with my steps and I can't wait to see how I do in my sleep. I bought one for myself and my boyfriend, though my boyfriend would probably get more out of it since he regularly goes to the gym.

As a longtime fitibt user (fitbit ultra > fitbit one) my one complaint was always having to remember to take them out of my pocket when changing clothes and putting it in the wristband to track sleep. So upgrading to a wearable tracker was a no brainer. I strongly considered the Jawbone Up and Nike Fuelband but wasn't impressed with either after giving them a close look. I've been wearing the Flex and my One for a few days now to compare stats and I'm happily surprised with how similar the results are. I've even counted off a couple hundred steps while watching the app and the step count is pretty spot on (for me at least). The wristband is very lightweight and easy to adjust. As someone who doesn't wear things on their wrist often it's very comfortable and I quickly forget that I'm wearing it.
