Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Flex Wireless Activity Tracker's sleep tracking, ease of use, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. While some users mentioned challenges with the charging mechanism, clasp, and price point, the positive feedback on core features outweighs these concerns. The water resistance and alarm features also received positive comments.

    Doesn't track right at all!

I don't have the box or I would return it! It doesn't track sleep right, says your resting while your wide awake! It track any type of machine workout, either weights or steps/elliptical machines, like the up! It doesn't vibrate unless you move it from sleep to non-sleep, so no point in that! Its easy to use but that's because it does nothing besides look ugly on your wrist! Thank you!

Summary says it all .. I considered getting a fitbit one next, but realized in terms of android it was only compatible with Samsung phones, so I got an S4 and it turned out the step counter.calorie counter was built into the phone in an app called "s health", so why did I need the fitbit again? Oh, if you have another android phone, there are apparently other step counter apps you can find.

FitBit is the best fitness wearable on the market.

The Good * iPhone app is very intuitive * Real-time access via app on your phone is great * Sleep tracking feature is very useful and works great * A lot of competing fitness wearables don’t offer sleep tracking * Offers both a small and large wristband in the box * Offers a silent alarm that works well * Lasts 5 days on a single charge * Auto-syncs with smartphone and computer (if Flex in within 20ft of the included Wireless Sync Dongle while plugged in) * FitBit community is thriving so you can always compete and get motivation from others * Online dashboard has a graphs and charts relating to the fitness tracker from your Flex * The smartphone app has recently been updated to include a barcode scanner to help track your meals * Meal tracking can be done manually * Flex can be worn in the shower so you really don’t need to take it off except to charge * You can purchase cool wristband colors separately for around $14 * You can earn badges for extra motivation * Sleekly designed * So comfortable you can forget it’s there * LED dots display readout of your progress * Uses Bluetooth LE * Water-resistant The Bad * Sometimes extremely generous with step counting * Proprietary charger * Doesn’t track stairs climbed like the FitBit One or the now discontinued FitBit Force * Doesn’t tell time * Premium users will get much more comprehensive comparisons and tracking stats The Ugly * Premium features cost $50 per year Recommendation: I would recommend the FitBit Flex to anyone wanting to get more active. It may be overgenerous with it’s step count but I know for a fact wearing it makes me be more active. I takes the stairs more often then the elevator and don’t mind taking a longer route when walking to add more to my step-count. I also convinced my wife to get the Flex, so now we compete.

This device does not keep a charge and also has sync issues after a couple of months. Make sure to get the Geek Squad Protection with this item

The flex, compared to prior products ie the One does not have the battery life needed for regular use. Also the watchband collects a lot of sweat during exercise which makes for not so pleasant smells which requires cleaning. The flex also only tracks motion as part of hand motion so if you're using a stair climber or an elliptical then it will not count those steps. So in short more cleaning less steps more charging so maybe you should just get a older fitbit one

I recommend it for walking as a pedometer. I thought it would track cycling as well. it doesn't, and sometimes when I'm driving my car, it counts steps.

i bought the fit bit flex to help me track my daily excercise and then set higher goals. but yet the fit bit will not update not even when it is plugged in and charging. constantly says cannot locate tracker when the tracker is a whole 4 inches away. on days that it does decided to sync it somehow doesn't log any steps i take. on average, and ive had it for about three weeks now it keeps track of my steps maybe 3 days out of the week.

I've used it. It's very functional, and provides great information. However, after so long you'll get tired of having it around your wrist all day.

I used to love this fitbit flex until the band decided to snap off. I would not buy a flex again, i would opt for an alta or charge

I bought this so I could track my activity during the day as well as when I was asleep. But it did not accurately record my steps and the device was very difficult to put into sleep mode to track my sleep (every day I had to manually add my sleep hours into the program. I ended up returning item.

I was told it would track stairs as well as steps like fitbit I had before (which I finally lost because the clip did not hold very securely). Does not track stairs. Can't check progress during day by looking at unit. Hard to know if it is accurate or reliable. Same cost as fitbit I had but does less. Has come off once with minimal pull but other unit that I clipped in my pocket fell off frequently and was lost due to this

I was really excited when I got the FItBit flex but as it turned out this was a really expensive pedometer that was kind of annoying.

I was so excited to get the Flex. Unfortunately it didn't take long to realize how inaccurate it was. It counted way too many steps on a daily basis. I returned it. Hopefully they fix that problem soon.
