Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Flex Wireless Activity Tracker's sleep tracking, ease of use, and accurate step tracking capabilities. Many appreciate the long battery life, comfortable size and weight, and the motivational aspects of the device. While some users mentioned challenges with the charging mechanism, clasp, and price point, the positive feedback on core features outweighs these concerns. The water resistance and alarm features also received positive comments.

    No Charge No Sync

When I got the flex I fully charged the battery and begun wearing it. I liked the comfort and watching my steps. However, when I tried to charge it the 2nd time it would not charge or sync to my iphone. I contacted Fitbit customer service via email (apparently the only way you can) and still one week later I have yet to get a reply even after sending the 2nd and 3rd requests for help. I decided to return the flex to Best Buy and exchange it for another, but they were out of them. Best Buy did refund my $ and I just purchased a jawbone up. Hoping for better results. Don't waste your $ with the Flex!!

The very first review of the Flex on Amazon made that point quite clearly. Second, there is a reason there's no manual: generally, people don't read them. That's why you need to go to the website to initialize your Flex, and, hopefully, read the other instructions.

I loved my Fitbit at first but had problems with charging within the first few months. I did all the troubleshooting but it still wouldn't charge. Fitbit sent me s new one and now less than a year after they replaced it the first time it completely died. Fitbit will not replace it because it's more than a year after my original purchase but will give me a whole 25% discount if I buy another one. The Fitbit I have was I originally over $100 and now it's only $79. I guess they want everyone to buy a new one every year and a day. I'm not happy!

    Great Fit..Bad Data

I was really looking forward to getting a Fitbit, but was suprised when I reached my goal, but really did not do much walking. At one point, the app was open on my phone, and at the same time I was petting my dog. I saw the step count go up with every scratch! This darn thing was not tracking steps, but the movement of my arm. Sorry, but I think I'll just go with the S Health that came with my phone. At least that one is quite a bit more accurate.

    Great Pedometer, Bad Calorie Tracker

I am a 160lb healthy woman, I bought the fitbit so I could track my calories and my steps, so on and so fourth. The fitbit automatically counts calories that you've burned while sleeping. (600 a night for me) then while walking from class to class for a day I was on average burning 6000 calories A DAY!!! I didn't run, I didnt excercise, and I just walked to each class (5 minutes apart). I didnt burn 6000 calories sadly. I was really turned off by that feature and I will return it as now it is just a pedometer and I dont want to pay $100 for a pedometer.

    waste of time and money

After owning the Fitbit Flex for two days, it started logging unlimited steps whether I was even wearing it or now. I tried getting it to stop but it seems like there's nothing I can do. At this point it has 124000 steps by 11:00 am. I can't believe they would sell something that starts acting up after 2 days. This was a real waste of time. I called Fitbit and they said I need the USB charger to reset it, which I only have at home and I don't carry it with me everywhere. It seems like a major inconvenience.

FitBit Flex works well for basic use. Not great if you're trying to track sleep, swimming, etc. Seems to count steps at a faster rate than other pedometers I've used, but as long as it is consistent it will work for me.

Have had FITBIT One for over a year but love the FLEX because it is obvious enough to remind me to keep moving ... yet is not so obvious that people immediate say ... oh you are using the FLEX.

    Worthless

This product is so bad it has caused me to write my first ever BestBuy review. I have had my FitBit for less than a year. It will not charge any longer so it is totally worthless now. I've tried all the tricks I find online (clean the contacts, use tape to hold it in the charger, etc). Nothing works. And it's been intermittent since about 6 months in anyway. I kept thinking maybe, just maybe it would get better, but now it is totally dead and totally will not charge. What a waste of money. Get something else. Oh, and the band around where you put the device in and take it out started splitting within a couple of months.

    A good product.....with reservations

The Fitbit Flex is a great idea and a quality product. However, be careful to check availability of your phone against what the Fitbit works with. The advertising says iPhones 4 & 5, iPad, and "Android Devices". However, it only works with 4 very specific Samsung phones. I found the clasp hard to close. Best Buy was great about returning the item and I bought a Jawbone UP which is, IMO, a better product.

    Poor Design

I purchased one of these for my mother and one of the black ones for my father. The bands are difficult for many older individuals to fasten themselves (Up by jawbone is a better band for those with limited dexterity). The display on phones for sleep pattern are poor, there were no instructions included with the device, I had to go online to find info to help my parents figure out how to work it, and then with trying to remember to tap repeatedly while watching for certain lights to light up, is just insane. I ended up trashing these and getting them UP 24's Much easier to work with.

Great activity tracker, includes multiple band sizes for convenience. Larger than the UP2, somewhat difficult to fasten band, but has LED lights to show your progress to goal throughout the day.

I bought it about three months ago. The devise was good and the program is really good, I like the user interface and what not. Charging the devise is a pain because the charger is loose and you had to wedge a paper in. My first charger broke and the manufacturer sent me another. Now the band is ripping in the bottom and and actually hardware is pealing. I should have gone with the jawbone up.

    Extremely Inaccurate

I was so excited to get my Fitbit Flex. I had read reviews that it was inaccurate, but also saw that there was a way to overcome this by calibrating it. I got it home and set it up and was so disappointed. I tried calibrating it and thought to give it a second day. However it told me that I had already taken 50 steps before I even got out of bed! If it was that inaccurate before I got out of bed, I cannot imagine how inaccurate it would be wearing it throughout the day. If the product was only about $30, I would expect the inaccuracy. However, for the price I would think it would not have this much of an inaccuracy. I am bringing mine back today because I am so disappointed.

    Bracelet is poorly made

I love how easy it is to sync up the Fitbit. However, I have had the Fitbit for a little more than a week and both of the bracelet's broke. I was not aggressive in taking out the Fitbit from either bracelet. I am so disappointed . I will be returning it over the weekend and trying a different brand. I have emailed the company and I am still waiting for a response. I read a lot of the reviews and I really do not see anyone complain about the bracelet :(

I've had the fitbit for a week and really like it. It's a nice reminder to stay on track towards goals and is comfortable to wear. I recommend using myfitnesspal for food tracking - easy to link the accounts and myfitnesspal has a better food database.

    Not a serious company

I got FITBIT last year and even not being very comfortable for the lack of display ; I was able to use it; however, charging food was not that easy and statistics are not always reliable. However, the worst part came after three or four month the unit started having problems when charging. A couple of times, I left it connected to the USB port and next morning the unit was dead. A few weeks ago; it basically stop charging even changing computers; cleaning contacts and doing the recommended reset. Customer Service took over 24 hours for the first answer and about 24 to 48 hours for the following responses which basically was asking if I performed every possible suggestion in their Web site. After almost a week back and forth, they ask me to send the unit plus the purchase receipt so they will check it and if the warranty was still valid, perhaps replace it. I told that after a week of losing my time; I did not want to expend another two weeks waiting for somebody to decide for a replacement. So if you expend $ 100 or more in this tracker; and fails (something according to other reviews happens very often), be prepare to interrupt your training until this people decides to help you. In brief; look for a more serious company
